introducing the new 2012 looks

You really don’t want to read much of anything right now, do you? I’m pretty sure you just want to SEE the new designs. So I’m going to let the visuals speak for themselves. I am thrilled to share with you the new 2012 designs for Project Life: The Cobalt Edition and the Clementine Edition.

A quick note: We hosted a design contest earlier this year, which is how we found our two beloved guest designers – Kim Gayton (Cobalt) and Lili Niclass (Clementine). Our head designer, Lori Whitlock, helped pull it all together. It was truly a pleasure to work very closely with each of the designers to pull together these new designs. Please be sure to share your appreciation + compliments with these talented artists, for they truly deserve the credit.

Okay, so there’s only one thing that can make a product “unveiling” even MORE fun. Know what that is? Freebies to go along with the new designs! Have you noticed the two new features at the top of my blog sidebar? No? Well take notice. Click on them over on the sidebar. You’ll find the fun … you’ll love the free … and your smartphones may soon have a fun facelift.

We are so not done with this, my friends. More freebies coming soon. More product reveals. More answers to your questions.

And I need more sleep.  ; )

  7. dawn says:

WOW WOW WOW!! I love them both and can’t wait to buy one of each. The cobalt one for our family and the Clementine one for my daughter’s high school album, she just started. Thanks so much Becky and to the wonderful, creative, inspiring ladies who created two AMAZING choices for us.

  10. Paula says:

LOVE! And can I please say Thank You, on behalf of all those like me who don’t completely love anything too schmaltzy or precious–THANK YOU for fresh, clean, current, and simple designs and colors. I can’t wait!

  11. Lori says:

    LOVE * LOVE * LOVE!!
Any chance that you’ll ever sell digital elements for us to use for our own digital scrapbook pages? I’ve been transitioning to digital books lately, and now that I’ve finally learned Photoshop Elements, I’m enjoying the freedom of creating my own layouts. I know that we can buy a digital book from you, but I’d like to be able to create my own layouts using these GORGEOUS papers and elements.
Did I say that I LOVE these designs? Kudos to the new designers!

  12. GME says:

Oh my gosh gravy. I love both editions! But Clementine sends me over the edge with the text paper, composition notebook card, clock and damask. Damask steals my heart every time. And so does “notebook paper”. I’m in love. Cannot wait for these to be released as I have amazon gift certificates banked!!!

  13. Kim says:

amazing…I’m in love with them both. How will I ever decide? Thanks also for the iphone apps and backgrounds….loving that.

  14. Melissa says:

WOO HOO! I’ll take one of everything! I can’t wait to get my hands on this stuff!

  15. Nancy says:

Beautiful! REALLY considering doing this in 2012 and Clementine looks great! Love the kitschy/everyday things look, but also like the handwritten typography in Cobalt… hmm… decisions, decisions…. :D

  16. Pam Meeks says:

oh my – I love them both – not sure how to decide…..and we just got an ipad – going to check out the backgrounds – thx….

  17. Susan White says:

I Love the boldness of the Cobalt Edition. It is definitely coming home with me and I think a second one for my nephew and his new wife as a belated wedding gift!!! Thanks Becky!!

  18. terri says:

Love them both. Think I will be having a tough decision to make. Or not… who says I can’t have both?? Awesomeness!!!

  19. Chandi SanMiguel says:

Love the new designs!! It’s a hard choice but if I had to decide I think I like Clementine the best. And thank you for the free backgrounds. I “had” to download just about every one of them- so fun. I currently have the orange damask as my wallpaper for my home page on my iphone and the ledger for my lock background. :)

  20. kristin says:

Oh my..wow! Those are both simply stunning. Love, love, love both the new designs & colors. I will be buying both for my household – can’t wait!!

Congrats Becky, Lili, Kim and Lori on a job well done!!!!!

I am super stoked about the new designs – and can’t wait to purchase the Clementine, it’s wonderful. So classic. Love it all. Can’t wait to see what the journaling cards looks like!!!!

Thank you Becky for the free iphone wallpaper – I’ve downloaded them all and love looking at my new clementine background.

Thank you for this product. I’m truly grateful for it’s simpleness and ability to hold my families weekly memories.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

  25. Mary says:

LOVE them – you did a great job again…I think what I love about them and what makes them feel so fitting for me – is that American Crafts feel. Anyone else get that vibe? They look like American Crafts patterns and color schemes from 5+ years ago! LOVE that!!

  26. Alissa says:

    Love Clementine!!!
She must come home to me!
    Thanks for the cool freebies!

  27. Cheryl says:

Can’t wait to get them!!! They look fabulous!!! Thanks to you and the designers for all the hard work!

  28. Cameron says:

Oh no! When I saw the Cobalt preview I knew I wanted THAT one… but then I scrolled down and saw Clementine, and I love THAT one, too! Which one will it beeeee?

  29. [...] seeing the new Project Life designs for 2012 on Becky’s blog. Leaning towards Clementine, but I love some of the Cobalt designs [...]

  30. Betty says:

I’ve never done Project Life… Clementine MUST be mine!!! :) It’s beautiful… all my favorite colors! All I’ll have to do is add apple green and it will be perfect.

  31. Kristyn G says:

I did some piece-mealing (purchased just “The Basics”) for project life this year, trying to use up my stash, but I am 100% purchasing the Cobalt kit for 2012! Love it! and I know it will be so much easier than trying to cut and prep everything myself! Can’t wait!

  32. Luannw says:

Bravo! Both collections look so modern and classic a hard combination!

  33. syeda says:

Oh my gosh, can’t stop drooling. I totally love both new editions. It is going to be hard to decide. Yesterday, I was in love with Clementine but today I am in love with Cobalt. I love the dark and bold colors. And you won’t believe this that I usually side with light pastel colors. But I think it’s something about the way the whole Cobalt edition is put together that I am ready to take that leap. thank you for letting me bold!!!
Hopefully this will be my first year doing Project life. I just fear that I might not be able to keep up but I know I will have a blast putting my memories together.
U guys did an awesome job.

  34. Kristen Spencer says:

Love, lOve, loVe, LovE, LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited….. woo hoo!

  35. Cindy N. says:

oh my darlin, oh my darlin, oh my darlin Clementine!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Lori says:

  37. Suzanne says:

I LOVE the Cobalt edition! Do you have this for digital scrapbooking too?

  38. DawnBeery says:

I LOVE the Cobalt edition! Cant wait to get it! Thanks for making Project Life it is the absolute best!!!!

  39. mandee says:

OMG!!! I want them both! So going to get BOTH and mix and match!!!! LOVE THEM!!!

  40. Cherie says:

This is very exciting! Oh how I love clementine!!! Love these kits, it makes my life so much easier.

  41. Tamara says:

they are both fun and appealing to me, but Cobalt is the one I will be looking to buy for next year!

  42. Michelle W says:

Love the vibrancy of the Cobalt colors. Having a predominantly male household, I’m normally drawn to the bold/masculine kits.

May I ask why the decision was made to be so year specific with the inclusion of the 2012 card? That’s never been done in the past.

Ended up unable to do a Project Life this year, due to severe illness. But, I adore the finished product of the previous 2 years. Looking forward to compiling a project for 2012. :)

  43. Jennifer says:

Nice job ladies! I just love Clementine! I don’t always get enough in to fill a page for every week and feel like I don’t use the week title cards at all. I love the smaller cards. Will you have more than just the grid journal cards available separately? The “card” journal card rocks! Great job!

  44. charlotte Phillip says:

I love the Cobalt will be mine in 2012! I can’t wait! I have loved my Pl this year, and cannot wait to start a new one with one more family member. It was great to document finding out we were expecting #4 in the same year she will be born. I even printed photos fro last year and used the basics to document it, and will move to 2009 soon.
    Thank you so much!

  45. Jessica Hess says:

I’m in love with Cobalt!! I like Clementine too, but Cobalt is awesome! You make me wish I had an Iphone. Wonderful Becky!!

  46. Kate says:

    I love the new designs!
I want to say a big thank you. I asked a few times for a “kit” (for the school stuff specifically) and I can see that you’re providing “bits and pieces” as well as full kits. Love that! It makes everyone happy!
(I’m in Australia and the preordering tells me that a full PL kit will cost $165 Australian dollars! I have to chose only 1 design for sure! I was VERY VERY spoilt getting some of your old Baby Kits for the bargain price of only $30 each!!!!).
    Anyway … Thanks, Becky :)

  47. Kate says:

Oh yes … Any great ideas on how to make multiple copies of physical PL albums (as opposed to digital) for multiple family members? Ones that look good and are relatively easy? (gee, I don’t want much, do I!!). There’s photocopying, I guess … Or scanning and printing … Am wondering if anyone has developed some solutions that work for them.
    Thanks!

  48. Melissa says:

Love the Cobalt–mom of five boys–can’t do anything too girlie here. Now just planning to save my dollars!

  49. Lori Barrow says:

I LOVE the clementine- love the cobalt too – but I can’t wait to get my hands on clementine!

    Great designs ladies!

    Lori

  50. mia says:

Ohhh…I am a little disappointed. They certainly don’t come close to the Amber and Turquoise designs. What a shame. Nevermind, I will still continue with Project Life, but might have to go without the kits..just plain binders and my own things inside.
