Chances are, you went on a trip this Summer. Or had a family reunion. Or played close to home with a staycation. Today I’m sharing an idea with you. An idea on how you can quickly and easily create a photo book with your favorite Summer pictures. Don’t mind the horribly un-flattering freeze frame here. Nice.
1. Head over to the Digital Project Life page to learn more.
2. In reference to my “good posture” comment, that’s due to my new chair if you missed that in yesterday’s post.
3. I apologize for the flipped image you get with this video.
4. To see more Digital Project Life ideas, check out this video to see our Family Yearbook and Porter’s Art Book.
5. Here is a really helpful post answering some questions about Digital Project Life.

great idea. I can’t wait to try this!
Wondering where you got the bookcase behind you. Thanks!
It looks like Ikea to me.
Oops, Vacation is spelled wrong in the video.
Wow, Becky! I have been using DPL for a bit now and sometimes I really don’t think outside the box when I’m doing it. I know I can do “full-bleed” pics and move things around, but I don’t do that very often. However, I love the effect in your parents book, and I will be trying that with my own (since they STILL are not ready to be printed –and thanks for that, by the way. It’s great that I can let them sit while I think on pages). This video gave me some GREAT ideas. Your product is wonderful and I want to thank you for saving me so much time. Thanks so much for making scrapbooking easier and very fun–and you are too cute.

Hi, Becky. I am thinking about making a DPL album and I have a question about the full bleed page. Can you put one picture across two pages, so it is like one big panorama? I think the full bleed look is cool and would be cool to do it over two side-by-side pages.
Thanks!
Steph
I have been considering trying DPL and I am wondering if with all the new designs coming and so forth will there be an option to mix and match the different editions (ie:use both the turquoise and amber edition in the same book) for more variety? Or will you always have to pick one edition and go off of that?
Still confused why book is backwards that you showed in the video. Will ours turn out that way too?
Becky is using the camera on her MAC computer. They always flip everything mirror image. Your book will be normal and open the correct way etc.
Hi Becky…I have the original Project Life (when they first came out)…but was watching your video on the Digital version and it might be something I would enjoy better…had a couple of questions though…I would imagine you have a Mac version??…and also, how is it printed out??…and how much is both the Digital Version and the price of the printing?? Thanks again…
Becky-I get that you are trying to sell Project Life and that you get credit for selling items on Amazon, but I really, really miss your posts on organization, decorating, etc. Just sayin” c.
I’m sorry if this sounds rude (I don’t mean it to be): I watched your video clip where you mention that you won’t share your personal layouts, journals and that people will need to understand b/c it is personal to your family… I kinda understand EXCEPT you often post others’ layouts, personal stories and so forth in order to sell and “advertise” your product… Isn’t that a double standard?… It certainly seems so to me.
I think she means she’s not going to share the entire book. She always shares a lot. And the stories she shares of others are always with their permission.
I think that Becky meant that she didn’t want to share her personal info. I agree that she does tend to put the personal info of others’ on her blog. I kind of miss the days that Becky wasn’t all about Project Life but I don’t think that she is so famous that someone would use her personal journaling against her. I think that in the scrapbook world, everything is supposed to be “perfect” all of the time, and so Becky wouldn’t want the not-so-perfect stuff read by others (but yet others’ sad stories are printed here.) I agree: double standard.
that is a great idea!! thanks
what a fabulous book becky! our family went on an alaskan cruise this summer too! probably the week after yours… it was a truly amazing experience! now… if i can just get my photos in an album…
thanks for sharing the vacation book! I have so many photos sitting on my computer. I am doing both digital and traditional Project Life books and am continuously finding ways to change them up. Thanks for showing how to enlarge photos, full bleed, etc. I was wondering about that and love how it looks! I will be transitioning to digital more than traditional for our family yearbooks… only because it seems faster and easier for me. I will continue with traditional for the kids School of Life albums… LOVE that I can include so much more in their albums this way. I also include different sized page protectors to include report cards, letters, drawings, etc.
Becky,
I love love love Project Life. My husband knows that his mission is to get the new products for me when they come out. I can’t wait to get them. Thanks so much for this revolutionary way to scrapbook. Now I don’t feel so overwhelmed with all of the layouts I need to complete.
Also, I have a Mac question for you…
I am new to Mac and I am wondering if there is an easier way to upload pics to different sites other than by putting them on your desktop. For instance I have a blog and would love to be able to easily upload pictures from iphoto to the blog. It just seems like it is much harder on the Mac.
does someone have a link to digital books?

Thanks for posting this article. This gives me an idea to make my own vacation book. I still prefer printed photos over the ones stored in the computer.
