new product has arrived!

I’m going to try to keep this short and sweet because you have a video to watch + some shopping to do!

……….

Item of business #1: You thought I was just announcing that products arrived on Amazon but nooooo. Oh no. We can top our own excitement because we’re finally able to share this other bit of super news.

Project Life designs are coming to you … in DIGITAL pieces! As in, what many of you have been begging us to do for the past couple of years! As in, all of the designs, title cards, filler cards, journling cards, stickers … everything in digital format so that you can create your own stuff with the Project Life flair. As in, all 5 editions that we have done so far! The Original Edition, Amber Edition, Turquoise Edition, Cobalt Edition, and Clementine Edition. Everything! DIGITAL. Go ahead. Jump out of your chair and do the happy dance. I am beyond thrilled to announce this partnership with JessicaSprague.com. More to come on that in the near future.

Oh – and yes, we’ll continue to offer digital Project Life in the form of photo books as well. We’ve been working on exciting improvements and I will fill you in more on that soon as well. We just want to make sure that you’re generally aware of the digital options, in time for you to shop for the physical products .

……….

Item of business #2: The plastics have arrived to Amazon.com just today. The wait is over; let the shopping begin! If you have 9 minutes to spare, here’s a little video to review everything that just showed up along with related, anecdotal information that may be useful to you. Eeeeep! Another happy dance. Let’s do this!

Ready to shop? Go right ahead.

NOTE: As of late Friday night (when I am posting this), the Scrapbook Dividers were the only item not showing up in the system yet. It’s there now!

This is just TOO AWESOME. All of it. Super excited about the plastics. But just as excited about the digital freedom I can incorporate into the whole mix. Thank you, thank you, thank you Becky!

  2. April says:

OH MY GOSH! I am so excited about this! Digital PL at JS.com! YAY!

  3. Skye says:

    Yay!!
Too many choices. How to choose. I am hoping that PL will help me get more orgainzed with my wishes as my craft/scrap room is a mess and I have tons of unused supplies/albums and this is so easy!

  4. Kaitlin says:

We were just talking about this the other day saying, gosh, if we could just do the journaling cards digital!!!!! OMgoodness, thank you!

  5. Yeayyyyy! I’m so excited! I have my cart full of PL goodies, but I’m wondering if I should wait to check out until the dividers show up? Will it be soon?

  6. scrappysue says:

Oh my gosh, I think I am going to BURST with excitement! Becky and Jessica and digital and all those lovely photo dividers I LOVE, woo hoo! Started to work on my story (from childhood) and I know I need different combination of divided pp, so I had better get over there and shop now!!!! Thanks Becky, its all great news!

  7. Yvonne Gronau says:

Yay!!!! So exciting!! Makes me giddy:)
Question: I am choosing to stick with Design A (and maybe getting Design D) and I’m wondering how many packages I need to get? The big pack of 60 seems like way too much for one year of Project Life. I do want to get the childhood/school kit when it becomes available so would that make the pack of 60 worth it? Thanks Becky!

  8. Carrie says:

Placed my order – soooooo excited for the big pocket pages. Have wanted those for so long. Great job.

  9. Becky says:

This is just awesome news! What a great combo….two of my favorites joining forces!!

  10. Dorraine Coulter says:

Love all this! I too want to wait until the dividers come in so as to only pay shipping and handling one time, very tight budget this year. Any idea how long until the dividers come in?

Thanks for all your ideas, products and your videos!

  11. Rebecca Foxworth says:

    Blissful sigh.

  12. Kyra says:

I didn’t see the pack of 15 dividers on Amazon.

  13. Prudence says:

I am sooooo excited I just placed my order and cannot wait until it arrives!!! Thank you!!!!

  14. Alli says:

    Hi Yvonne,

It really depends how you want to use the kit/album! There are so many different ways!

For example, using a week to a spread/photo a day it would use 52 pages – so not much less than the pack of 60. The pack of 60 is also incredible value – so I would recommend going for that anyway!

I live in Australia and have 3 packs on pre-order and am thinking of going back for more!!

  15. Sabrina says:

Just how to tell you, Becky, WOW!!! So excited I was shaking!!! I have been waiting and waiting for the FABULOUS day!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

  16. Jessica Gaibler says:

Yay! Sometimes it pays to be a night owl! I am sure Becky addressed this somewhere, (but of course I can’t find it…) but if and when the school kits become available next year, will it be similar to Project Life in that there is a core kit and then we can buy the other components (photo pages, dividers, etc.?). I know she mentioned in the video that if we are thinking of doing a school album it might be a good idea to buy the plastics sooner rather than later…Just trying to plan out how I am going to put together my school albums in addition to project life. :-) Thank you!!

  17. Denise C says:

    Hi Becky
Love everything!! Is there any reason why the journaling cards went up in price by $3.00?
    Thanks
    Denise

  18. Lisa Browning says:

It does pay to be a night owl. I was shutting down the computer when I got the news (on my BlackBerry – Twitter, I think). I fired it back up, went downstairs and made a cup of hot tea (picked up Candy Cane Lane at Target just yesterday!), and came back to my computer and shopped. Becky, thanks for keeping us advised, for your wonderful videos and product previews, and congratulations on a great product. I have used Project Life from its inception (including CK’s Project 365), and I love it so much.

  19. Heather says:

    Just placed my order!

  20. Ashley S. says:

So excited about the new products! They look fantastic! Very excited that you are teaming up with Jessica Sprague too. Thanks for the inspirational video. You’re awesome!

  21. Amy says:

I dont see big packs of pages (except for Design A). Will the other designs be available in packs of 60 also?

  22. Amy K says:

Awesome news! Congrats on the digitals and partnership with Jessica Sprague. I love all the options, allowing such creative freedom. Great job Becky!

  23. Carla says:

My very very first Project Life order was just placed!!!! Thank you Becky!!

  24. KimS says:

Yea – the scrapbook dividers are now in stock at amazon.com. I just placed my first PL order!!! Cannot wait for delivery now. :) Thanks so much!

  25. So exciting! I’m not seeing the Clementine core kit? Is that coming later?
    Thanks!

  26. Angela says:

I’m not seeing the Cobalt Core Kit….is that already sold out or is it coming in November?

  27. Alli says:

Clementine and Cobalt are yet to come. Can not wait!!

Yay! excited about the digi thing!!

  30. terri says:

Placed my order!! Cannot wait to get these plastics. Thank you Becky for all you do.

  31. jeannette says:

When I used BEcky’s link to Amazon, I didn’t see the scrapbook dividers, but when I went to Amazon on my own, I was able to find them. Hope that helps those of you who can’t see them.
Just ordered! Can’t wait til it arrives!!!

  32. Carol Z says:

So happy about digital PL coming to Jessica Sprague’s site. I am a total digi girl and print my books at Adorama. In order to hold memorabilia, I scan it in. OR, I add a pocket on the inside back cover of my album. I can usually make it about 1/2 thick. I did that for report cards for my daughter’s elementary school album, just keeping the six final reports showing the entire year. Hope this helps some of the digi gals, just an idea!

  33. marisa says:

So excited about the new vertical design! Wasn’t too happy with the one original that came out and only used one page. But I love the new designs!

  34. Beth Meier says:

All right, Miss Becky, I have a request….how about a 5×7 page protector that we an put in our 12×12 binders!? You can make it happen! Thanks! So excited to get my order!

  35. Angela says:

    Becky—
I know you get comments all the time, but I wanted to personally thank you (and David) for using the talents God gave you; your creativity, organizational skills, and practical thinking, while designing Project Life. As a mother of a 6 month old I am thrilled to be able to easily document his life and not feel guilt because I’m behind.

I’m curious—will you be using any components of the traditional kits (plastics, core kits, albums) in any way? Or are you a digital girl through and through. Just curious if you have any ideas for how to still use traditional PL supplies. I still have a love for scrapbook goodies…just not enough time to create layout after layout.

    Thank you again!!!

    • You are super sweet. EVERYone is so nice – thank you! I can’t personally respond to everyone’s ultra-kind and super enthusiastic comments but please know we are reading every single one, and we’re so thankful.

Okay, Angela – I will ABSOLUTELY be using ALL of this stuff! I do the photo books for our family yearbook but I’m still doing personalized, individual scrapbooks for each of our kiddos. So I truly am stoked about all the new plastics. Thanks for asking. I’m going to place my own order this morning – for real.

  36. Mel says:

Thank you! Just did some Christmas shopping for me & my two sisters! One knows “your work” and I know will be super excited! The other, I hope will see the ease and simplicity with this system and will embrace it! If not, I’ll take it and use it! Hee Hee! Thanks again! Can’t wait to get my hands on a new core kit too. Now I just need to go and get busy on catching up with this year! I did really well until summer. . .

  37. Shanley says:

Yeah..just placed my order!! So excited.

  38. Stephanie S. says:

I was hoping to buy some dividers to match my Turquoise Core Kit. Will you still be selling dividers that match the kits or are they just going to be the clear from here on out? Trying to decide if I should add the current dividers to my kit or wait? If not anyone out there that doesn’t use the dividers and wants to sell me their Turq?

    • We don’t have any immediate plans to have designer/coordinating Scrapbook Dividers but we never say never. I just wouldn’t hold your breath for those. Perhaps you can decorate the classic/neutral Scrapbook Dividers with a little flair to go with your Turquoise kit.

  39. Skye says:

    Question for anyone who knows…

The pocket pages that come in the pack of 5 for $9.99. Does anyone know how much they “expand” or what their capacity is to be stuffed? Having a hard time deciding on these but I feel these will be perfect for goodies that I cant dare cut down to scrap. Love how it closes so it wont fall out. I am sure that if I order 1-2 packs that I will end up ordering more!

I almost never scrap and am so into digital albums but the stuff I want to keep doesnt fit in, I often dont want to scan it in as it might be too tiny and it often takes away from the tactile feeling

Anyone who does digital scrapbooking how do you handle that? I am not fancy on my digital scrapbooking, I just to the snapfish or shutterfly books.

    • Deborah says:

Good question! I don’t know how to do the “digital Scrapbooking” but love to do Shutterfly books because I understand how to do those….LOVE Shutterfly….wish Becky & Jessica would team up to make something we could do via Shutterfly :) It could happen? Right? Maybe :) I know a ton of people who use shutterfly and don’t scrapbook but just make photobooks! I love to do both! I’m also on my 3rd year of doing a 365 book.

    • I don’t think there is a definite “measurement” to how far they expand. Maybe what would be best is to have a whole 12×12 album full of Big Envelope Pages that you can use to store all sorts of stuff. Each Big Envelope Page could be dedicated to a different theme or occasion or holiday or person in your family or travel or … you get the idea.

  40. I am so excited to order my products! I can not wait to do Project Life again next year! Thank you so much for providing so many amazing products and taking such care in quality.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. Are there any plans at all to do dividers with designs? I must admit I’m going to miss the lovely decorated dividers.
    2. Are you planning to share pictures/blogs of people who also do Project Life? I know there is the Big Picture Classes community, but I am so inspired by the few links you’ve shared lately!

    • Leanne in CA says:

I second the idea of a PL community for inspiration from others. I was thinking about the new dividers (haven’t rec’d them yet) but was wondering if we could stamp on them with Staz-on Ink or something in different stamp patterns we have on hand (flowers, flourishes, etc) to match our own sets? Maybe Becky or others can suggest ideas for the dividers. Thanks so much! Love reading the comments.

    • 1. See answer to this same question just above your comment. I am so excited to see what creative things people will do with the Scrapbook Dividers!

      2. Yes, there are amazing Project Life albums out there in cyber world from real-life people with their real-life pictures and memories. I will soon be announcing some exciting ways you’ll be seeing more from them aside from an occasional link on facebook/twitter.

  41. Skye says:

Okay one other question. I swear I read on the blog in someones comments that you will also offer the binders in solid colors. Any hints as to what solid colors will be offered? So don’t ever remember seeing that you said anything but others chatting about it so I am confused.

    • The sampling of our Signature Binders has taken longer than we had hoped. We will be offering a Black Signature Binder and a White Signature Binder and they should be coming in December. Pictures + information coming soon.

  42. Stephanie S. says:

Becky has said there will be a Black binder and a White binder. I don’t remember if she mentioned when those are coming.

  43. Marisa G says:

Wahoo! So excited about the digital / hybrid options through JS.com. Can’t wait for the core kits to come in! Going to view the plastics now…

  44. Deborah says:

What should I order if I wanta get ready for the school kits as far as the plastics go?

  45. DonnaD says:

Placed my order!!! I am so excited!!!

  46. Sharon Holesh says:

I really want to do a school album for my daughter who is already a Senior. Will school products be available- both paper and digital in the first half of 2012 or more likely toward end of 2012? Not sure what to start. I have grade one finished but realized I would never complete a standard scrapbook by the time she graduates. Becki, What should I do?

    • Sharon, what a great gift for your daughter. I had hopes to release school/childhood products early 2012 but to be honest – there is so much getting in the way of making that happen that soon. I am doing my best, but I can’t promise a date yet. You may want to just move forward by getting a Core Kit (the edition that best compliments your daughter’s personal style).

  47. Nicky Hurt says:

I love these and will definitely go shopping! I just wanted to throw out another idea for the dividers. For those of us military families, we don’t measure our lives by what year it is, what grade we were in, etc, but by where we live. So I plan to use a divider for each of our bases- this section will be when we lived in England, the next will be Alaska, and so on. Just an idea. :)
    Nicky

  48. Melissa W says:

Late last night I placed my order for my “plastics”: pocket pages, my big package of Design A and pack of Design D. Kind of bummed that the dividers weren’t there. No worries, I tried this morning and saw the dividers and placed another order. Oh, I’m going to have fun getting the separate packages in the mail! I can’t wait for the cobalt binder. Just loving your PL idea. My Mom enjoyed looking at both my albums (2010 and 2011) when she came over. I am so sold and loving this concept. Thank you. Keep the new stuff coming. :)

  49. Natalie says:

Can I just say I am beyond thrilled with the digital announcment. 2 of my favorite scrapbookers together. I can’t think of a better partnership that could benefit my scrapbooking. THANK YOU!!!!

  50. Oh for the love!!! After dealing with two kids with Hand, foot, mouth disease all week (and basically ready to hit the I-10 to LA and never come back!), the hubs let me “sleep in” till 8 :-) I checked my FB before getting out of bed, saw the announcement and thanks to my Amazon app, I placed my order before I even got out of bed!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! Seriously….Have NO IDEA how we lived without this ability. So, after a very crappy week, I woke up to a big pile of JOY this morning :-) Those kiddos? Still sick, but I’m still doing my happy dance :-)

And, remember how last time I asked about the original red version in real components? Well, one of your amazing PLifers in Ohio, Janita, had a spare core kit and graciously sent me them :-) This community is THE. BEST.

Thank you for inspiring us, sharing the JOY with us, and making this world and community a better place…one package of page protectors at a time ;-)

    Mandy Bopp
