Tis the season to start thinking about those holiday cards! I did a little poll on facebook recently and asked “Okay, tell me your vote. Are you content if we re-share the holiday card free templates from last year? Or would you really love new designs? Think this through. Because every time I add something to my plate, that stalls the development of … say, the school + childhood products.”
The response was overwhelmingly – Focus on new products!
So we have brought back the holiday card templates from last year and the year before – ten designs to choose from. And they’re FREE. Gotta love that.
But wait. There’s more!
We did go ahead and create one brand-new design for 2011, thanks to a great suggestion. (See? We’re good listeners!) The idea was to have a card design that allowed for 12 pictures. This is great for highlighting say, one picture to represent each month of the year. Super fun! You can certainly use the 12 spaces in a variety of ways.
Thank you Jessica Turner for the wonderful idea!
Thank you Lori Whitlock for designing the card!
Thank you Deb Duty for creating the sample!
Head on over to the beloved FREE STUFF page and find the design that best suits your style + your pictures this year. Now – if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to start playing Christmas music.

Can you use these cards with iPhoto or so ibhave to have another type of editing software.
iPhoto won’t work for this purpose. Full instructions + loads of tips are on the FREE STUFF page. : )

Thank you!!!! I am becoming addicted to stalking your blog!
Thank you. One more thing that will be checked off my to do list.
Thank you Becky!! Does anyone have advice for where to print these 4×6 on cardstock-like paper inexpensively? I found envelopes on Amazon, just wondering how to get the cards printed up easily and affordably. Thanks in advance!
I am wondering the same information.
This isn’t exactly what you asked but I’m planning to upload mine to Shutterfly and have them printed there.
mpix.com will print on cardstock with alot of options – go into products then choose cards – you can choose to print on cardstock, linen paper or pearl, Flat card or one that opens.
Wow these are so cute!! I have a question, may be a dumb one! I usually go the Costco route for cards but was wondering if I made my own with these and saved them could I send the imgae to Costco to get printed out? Thanks for any advice!
You can do this! I usually use shutterfly, but you can send them anywhere and print them as a 4×6 or 5×7 photo.
Yep! I did that last year. They have a “blank” card where you can upload your own card design and then you get the envelopes to go with the cards. They came out beautifully!
Thanks so much you guys!!! So excited now!
Thanks for posting the the multi photo one this year. Awesome.
Thank you so much! I already filled in my multi photo card
. So great!
Becky, I have a couple of questions about project life, are the new products for the 2012 year?
Will there be a 2012 Project Life?
Hi Becky!! I am almost ashamed to ask (because you already do so much for us!!), but are you planning on doing the 12 days of Christmas again? It got me SOOO in the mood for the hoildays last year!! Thank you!!
Yes!!! I was wondering the exact same thing. I re-watched a few of your holiday videos throughout this past year as well. Thank you for the lovelies!
Thank you!
LOVE the new card design. Can’t wait to get my card made and sent out
Thank you Becky. This is a lovely gift!
In case anyone is wondering … I did a quick test print to see how the smaller images would look on the 12-picture card in a 4×6 format. The answer is … awesome!!! Am also considering putting four larger pictures there instead. Love this. Thanks again!
I promptly downloaded all of them, and used the 12 picture one for ours! I still have to take pictures in November and December, but the rest of the year is done. I made another one using just one picture of my grandson in the skiff floating down the river taken in July and it is awesome! I may just use this format every year – it is a great way to show everyone what we did all year without the newsletter. Thanks a bunch! Now for the new PL kits!
Ok, please don’t laugh, but can someone PLEASE tell me how to get the pictures into these cards??? I downloaded the template (the one with 12) and I have my photos in iPhoto already edited, but how do I get them from iPhoto to the card? I know it’s probably very easy, but I’m just a little computer-illiterate.
Thanks so much for your help (after you stop laughing!)
Lisa
Thanks for the cards! These were awesome last year when I first discovered them and I’ve picked a different design for this year.
I use the free editing software aviary.com to layer my picture in. Under ‘advanced suite’ you can choose ‘image editor’ which allows you to put in layers. I uploaded the card image and then my picture image. Moved (click and drag) the layers around to how I wanted and viola! our holiday card is ready! I am not familiar with the program or image editing in general, but I was able to do it. Yay! Now, I’ll upload to Costco and have them print them and get them ready to mail well before the holiday rush!
Thank you, i grabbed the whole lot, they are wonderful.
Thank you! I picked one, used a great pic of the kids I had and ta-da…my Christmas cards are ready for upload and printing! What a load off my mind already! Thank you! Thank you!
HELP!!! I just tried to load my photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and there isn’t any multi layers for me to put the photos into. Does it not support the new Elements?
Becky, I know this is off the subject but I just ordered the Turquoise (sp??) core kit along with some of the new “plastics” and I am super duper excited to get them next week!!! Insert squeal here!!!
I am absolutely in love with these – THANK YOU B Higgs!!!
I would love to use one of these again this year. Is there anyone that might be intersted in any kind of a trade (I have lots of designer fabrics if you’re into that sort of thing:)) or doing a card for me for a small fee? I’m basically computer illiterate:) I don’t have adobe or any photoshop. One of your lovely readers (THANK YOU NATALIE!!!) ever so kindly made the adorable green striped one for me last year. (Even with a crappy home pic I took. This year I actually have a professional photo on a cd with rights to reuse that will hopefully make it look lots better:))
If there is anyone interested or able to do a little swap with me I’d LOVE to use one of these templates again. you can email me jmierandco (at) gmail (Dot) com
