Love the news about Shuttefly! I’ve been with Shutterfly at least since 2005 and make plenty of photo books with them now. This is the BEST news. Will the other colors be coming later on? I’m talking about Cobalt especially…?? SO EXCITED!!!

Super fun! I do have to giggle (a smidge) that you said anything over 5 minutes gets a little long and your video is 6 minutes. Although I giggle, your video isn’t too long. As usual, it’s just perfect.

Even though this is a digital blog post, I had to share I just ordered my plastics through amazon. This is my first attempt at PL and I am sooo excited! I have always used Creative Memories products and I love them, but it was time to try something new. Am anxious to give this a whirl! Can I do it???

Having digitally scrapbooked via Becky’s Ziblio partnership and with Shutterfly I have to say that the quality with Ziblio is far superior to Shutterfly. (But then again, the price is substantially more). That said, with five kids, I will be using Shutterfly to do my 2011 year in review. Congrats Becky…this will be huge for you too, I’m sure.

Becky- Just a few questions, I’m still a little confused. Will Shutterfly be handling the printing of the digital books and Jessica Sprague setting up the digital templates? Also, will we be able to access the old digital styles on Shutterfly? Since I am new to PL this year, I would like to catch up past years with other designs like Amber and Original, as well as the newest ones. Also, I HAVE to know where you got your beautiful, turquoise vases that were on your table for the Fall Decorations post and also that cute pillow with yellow circles that was on your couch in the video today. As I said, I am new to PL this year and your blog is always such a treat. You’re beautiful, your house is beautiful, and you always leave me with great ideas. In addition, the digital Project Life is amazing! It has simplified my life in a HUGE way. I can’t wait to give my kids their “yearbooks” for Christmas. This wouldn’t have been possible this year without Project Life. Thanks for all you do!!

Just another person who pre-orderd via Ziblio and have not started my projects. I pre-orderd 4 codes for Christmas presents that I was going to create in December.
I love this, the digital version of Project Life wasn’t as user friendly for me as my Shutterfly experiences. I absolutely love Shutterfly, I did their picture books before I started project life so this is a wonderful, wonderful combination! Love this!

I have ordered two Ziblio books and to me the quality of the cover and binding just haven’t held up compared to my Shutterfly books, so I am very excited about the change! Also happy about the possibly of having larger books; as it was such a bummer to go to all that work and have the pictures seem fairly small. Really hoping with this change it means we can do the 12×12 format. Thanks Becky for always looking for new and better solutions to PL!
Just a quick question. I see at the top that there will be two editions of PL on shutterfly those are turquoise and clementine. Will cobalt and amber also be available at some point ?

Another super excited person I am like Shutterfly’s biggest fan in Canada – I have done tons of books even finished one last night in fact for my parent’s vacation – I loved you before, now even more – kind of like a great marriage eh the longer it is the more you love them!! I do sort of agree with Jazzy, I do like Becky over the last few months I have become disappoointed. I learned that several of the designs werent hers. Now many hire graphic designers but it makes me wonder how much of her work is not original that we have seen in the past. What about all those sketch books. While I will still follow the blog. It is frustrating to see her be able to travel so often and hear about it while many of us are barely able to pay our bills. i was a tad put off with the request to have others do videos as it is beckys blog, I am not here to see others videos. She was like either do the new products or spend time working on the videos. My initial thought was maybe dont travel so much and maybe you would have time.
So dont put down Jazzy for having an opinion as we all are allowed to!

Becky, did you have these steps laid out in your original business plan before creating your LLC? Or are these new opportunities? Things that you implemented in response to customer requests?
You inspire me. I hope to find the courage to take a step towards creating something new that I can be passionate about.
I have made a book in Ziblio and Shutterfly. I have found the Shutterfly template easy to work in. The Ziblio does not have an “undo” function which makes it difficult to fix mistakes or if you want to change something. As far as quality is concerned Ziblio employs a sewn binding whereas Shutterfly uses glue. A sewn binding is superior to the glue binding. I wish that Ziblio would work to improve their their platform for creating books because their finished products are stunning. At this point I’m happy about the switch to Shutterfly because of the easy factor. I do wish that Ziblio would step up their efforts to make their product more user friendly IMHO.
SO very happy about this! Ziblio turned out a very nice digital book (I have 4 so far – and one in the works). I think the transition to Shutterfly will be great. I keep an archive of my very best photos at Shutterfly and I like the quality of their prints too. Looking forward to creating books with Shutterfly. I have never ordered books with them before…. very exciting.
I think this is super fun! I’m leaning towards going digital cuz I just can’t keep up with it… who knows if that will help me!

I am excited about the possibility of PL on Shutterfly, but have a question. There is a 100 pg. maximum on their photo books. A completed PL album would have more pages than that, right?
