Thank you, Becky, for remembering our Veterans today! My husband is in Afghanistan so he’s absent from Project Life this year. Just think… when he comes home he’ll be able to see everything we’ve done in his absence ~ down to the smallest details. That’s pretty neat, huh? Well, gotta go put the flag out… AND… take a picture of it, of course :o )

I’m amazed at how many Americans are not thankful for the life that we all have (I’ve heard to much complaining today) – - I feel the “choices” people make calculate into their life – - we have so many women and men serving and saving lives and saving our Freedom on a daily basis – - servicemen and women aren’t enjoying crabs at the nearby pub or shopping at the local malls – - they are not sleeping in comfy cozy beds, or running to the kitchen every 5 minutes to grab a snack. NO what they are experiencing is – a good fight for our lives, they are leaving their loved ones at home to take care of EVERYTHING -something we take so much advantage of – -

God has blessed us with Freedom – - HE has blessed us with men and women willing to serve this country to make it better for us and generations to come – - so for those of us who truly are thankful – - may we remember those here and lost on this beautiful day and thanks to all the servicemen and women for their call of duty – - and bless those families who have to endure the pain of days, months and even years of their loved ones being away from them to continue to perform their duty each day to make a better place for US.

Cyber hugs to those who just want to grab one – :)

Amen! I try and teach the children I care for to appreciate the “little things” in life. And, each night, I say my prayers of gratitude. It helps to keep me grounded and balanced.

Love your tribute today – I am a UN Peacekeeping Veteran and today 11-11-11 was proud to be Marching in our local Parade. I am a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer but worked in Kosovo for 10 months as a War Crime Murder Investigator and learned that we are lucky here in North America for sure..most of the time we had no power, no running hot water and being away from my husband for 10 months was difficult.

I wish I had done a project life that year (2002) with a picture per day because even though it was was one of the hardest of my life it was certainly the most rewarding! Thanks to all those that continue to fight for our Freedom ! Lest We Forget.

    Hi Becky,
Just saw my name in the winners list – OMG. I’ve never won anything anywhere… I’m beyond thrilled to receive a copy of Somerset Memories, so I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much!

  7. [...] Eric has made many other videos and it just felt appropriate to share one other that he did. He said, I believe with great conviction in the importance of taking care of our troops over here. Whatever side of the fence one might fall on, these are our sons and daughters and they are a long, long way from the ones they love this Christmas. I did this in Iraq a couple years back, and the message still hits home in a major way this holiday season. I was looking through the rest of your blog and was truly encouraged to see your veterans day post! [...]
