feedback friday

If you missed it last week, I am going to do a Feedback Friday blog post on (most) Fridays. This is one way I can try to catch up on the comments + questions that float around here on my blog, my facebook page, twitter, emails, etc.

…..

Can we see Project Life used as a baby album?

This request was part of last week’s Feedback Friday and I’m happy to share a few submissions that came in after that. So grateful for those who shared!

Layout by Juliet in Singapore.

…..

Pages by Jill in Pennsylvania.

Jill writes: I have been doing this for my daughter Reagan since she was born on March 1. I love how easy it is to use the journaling cards to jot down her milestones – when her teeth come in, when she tries new foods, when she rolls over and the list goes on and on. Also love that I can slip in bits of life into the pockets – clothing tags, receipts, pieces of baby cards, and the list goes on and on (again!).

Note: Jill is using the Original Edition of Project Life that she got at the beginning of 2010. And since I know someone will ask … Yes, it is possible that we could bring this edition back again.

…..

Pages by Emily in Washington, D.C.

Emily writes: Here is how I am using Project Life: My first baby, Parker, was born 6 months ago, and I had my Project Life album all ready to go. Instead of chronicling week by week (which was a bit overwhelming for me, not to mention there was no way I could limit myself to just seven pictures!), I decided to do a monthly account of my son’s life as he grows. It has proven very rewarding and successful – I add in bits in pieces over the month when I have a spare minute! Each month starts with photos by mama (in the same chair with the same stuffed animal) and his stats if he had a doctor’s appointment each month – and I keep track of all the new things he’s doing as well as our family’s experiences with him throughout the month. Throughout the month, I write down little bits in a notebook that I transfer to journaling cards. To be clear, I’m doing a month-by-month of his first year, after which I’ll probably switch to a family PL album.

…..

How do you move past a creative block that has been lasting for months??

Assuming you’re referring to scrapbooking, I don’t feel the need to have that self-inflicted pressure in my life. I don’t feel like I have to be creative about how I preserve my family’s memories. That’s what is so liberating about putting my pictures + stories together with Project Life. I just add my pictures to the already-designed products that our graphic designers created and my work is done. I gave up the “I need to be creative” mentality a long time ago and highly recommend that for anyone who is putting too much pressure on themselves. There are far too many other important things in life.

…..

I was wondering if there are plans to make a chocolate or navy version of the Signature Binder?

We are starting with Black and White and we’ll see how those do. If everyone loves our Signature Binder as much as we do, we would love to expand the line to include more colors.

…..

Are we going to be seeing any Project Life related stamps?

Not anytime soon, but never say never.

…..

I have been wondering if there will ever be a list of all of your Cultivate a Good Life quotes put out in one place? Pretty please!?

I’m pleased that you’re enjoying those posts. I am collecting them every time I post one, but I haven’t yet had an epiphany as to how I might share the full collection in the most effective way. I thought of a set of 3×4 cards, a calendar (one for each day in the year), but honestly – nothing feels like the “it” idea just yet. Open to ideas. For anyone who may not know what we’re talking about, I share something on facebook + twitter almost daily and it says “Part of cultivating a good life is …” and then I share something that’s on my mind or based on my experience or whatever.

…..

Are there any plans to offer the Scrapbook Dividers with designs on them?

First of all, yes we are reprinting more as I write this since they sold out so fast. We should have more available in January. Secondly, we made the Scrapbook Dividers completely simple and neutral so that they could be used in any Project Life book or scrapbook. I am a big fan of versatility. Having said that, I know some of you would like to see designs printed on the dividers. It’s hard to know how much interest there is but feel free to add your comment. How would you feel if we offer designer stickers that coordinate with each Project Life edition, and you would place those on the dividers?

…..

I know you don’t know for sure, but any idea when school-related Project Life products will be ready?

I sooo know that many of you are anxious for this to come. Me too. There are a lot of reasons why it has been pushed back + pushed back some more. But we are working on it. I want it to be completely brilliant. I want these products to truly be a solution for all of you that want to get your kids’ scrapbooks done. It takes time and I have a lot of cookers going in my life – much more than just what you see here on my blog. Thank you for being patient. I don’t have a date, but it’s possible (if I had to guess) that we’re looking at Summer 2012.

Here’s the good news (since being patient can be hard): I have been working on a very detailed + informative video that will walk you through the process of getting organized with all of your kids’ stuff (papers, art, school work, pictures). Even though school-specific products aren’t available yet, I think anyone can get started right this minute with a little inspiration. I plan to share the video this month.

…..

I was wondering if you have ever considered doing a monthly themed Project Life kit? I use my PL to do a “month in review” (it feels like less of commitment and more do-able that way) and I was hoping to see a monthly themed set that would incorporate the seasons/holidays throughout each month.

We have thought about that, yes. I seriously wish we could move forward with every idea all at the same time, because there is so much potential! I just wanted to remind everyone that we do love when you share your ideas for what you’d like to see. You have great ideas and we’re pretty good listeners. If you have product input to share, email projectlife@beckyhiggins.com any time.

…..

Will the Project Life Binders and the Signature Binders fit the school days kits from a few years ago? I’m going to order for my 3 kids if they will work!

All of our binders are totally the standard 12×12 size so they’ll fit anything of that standard size. Yes, those old kits will fit. Order away.  : )

…..

Do your new binders hold any more pages than the ones from last year?

No. Same thickness as last year’s. If any of you have a We R Memory Keepers 12×12 3-ring binder, it’s the exact same dimensions as that.

…..

Can you please post some tutorials on how to use the Digital Project Life elements?

JessicaSprague.com offers a class called Up + Running with Photoshop that goes over all the basics to use digital products, such as our Project Life elements. It would be a wonderful skill to know some core concepts for so many different uses. I highly recommend it, based on everything that I’ve heard … and in fact, I’ll be taking the class myself soon. Anyone else care to join me? The class is 20% off right now!

Spotlighting a favorite comment on facebook.

Terrie said: Ok, don’t know WHERE I’ve been, but I just discovered your products and I’m SO excited! I love to create scrapbooks for my photos, but due to life being so busy, I’ve not been able to “get around to it” for many years now. Thanks to you, I’m going to be getting back to my fav hobby. Thank you Becky for creating this system and making it so easy to keep up with preserving my precious memories!!!

  1. I am SO excited that the school PL may come out this Summer. I have twin boys entering Kindergarten in the FALL! YAY! I plan to do the school project for the classroom also. Thanks for so much inspiration.

Last week I wanted to comment but my commenting times are limited to when one of my 3 kids aren’t needing me, in other words, VERY limited….anyways, this is the only place I read about PL so I LOVE you sharing updates and info through your blog. I really don’t have time to follow on twitter right now and I am not on facebook. So keep up the good work.

  2. Jennifer P says:

I just wanted to make sure you knew I also have an interest in a “monthly” Project Life card kit incorporating holidays, birthdays and seasons. Maybe just a single “events” packet to supplement the bigger, more neutral kits. I’d actually get both (original kit, plus supplemental events packet) as my albums have turned into an events of the month type album. I may have 7 photos all dedicated to a band competition or a birthday party instead of a photo a day. Right now I go out and buy pattern papers related to the topic for those weeks and cut them down.

    Also still have an interest in cd/dvd holders for your 3 ring binders. I’ve got 6 DVD’s waiting to go into my project life albums when they arrive. (;

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

    • Holly says:

@ Jennifer, there is currently one of the new page protectors that has 4 square pockets, and would probably be perfect to slip cd’s/dvds into…and there are also the large pocket pages that would hold something like that as well. I have both and they are awesome. Check them out on the new products! :-)

      • Melissa says:

I missed that page protector size, I don’t know why. That’s brilliant for holding my photo backup dvds! Just ordered some up :)

      • Courtney says:

You are a genius! I was planning on decking out the paper photo sleeves and trying to figure out a way to get whole punches in them! I plan to back up my photos from the whole year and put it in my album, so it’s all in one spot!! I already have that size (purchased a few weeks ago)…. GREAT idea Holly!!!!

  3. Thea says:

Hi Becky. I am astounded that I have kept up with PL as an entry a day throughout the year – only a few days missed journaling & a couple of photos. I have ordered the Cobalt kit for next year, still waiting for it all to arrive in Australia. Personally I would love to have decorated monthly dividers, whether the same style as this year’s or with stickers (although my abilities to apply stickers without making a mess will be sorely tested). I am thinking I might do a monthly approach rather than weekly so I don’t end up with 3 or 4 folders again. The extra layering in the album with the decorated dividers is so pretty. I am enjoying using your products.

    • Thea says:

Oh yes – portrait orientated 5×7 page protectors!

      • Lucia says:

I agree wholeheartedly about the need for portrait 5×7!!! These are nearly impossible to find. I have searched high and low numerous times, thought I found some, but they aren’t archival, so they are a no go. :/ I know I can sew and make my own 5×7 pockets, but it would be SO NICE to have ready-made ones.

  4. Wendy Galanty says:

I think using PL for a baby’s album is AWESOME!!! So wish I had PL when when daughter was younger. I can not stress how much I LOVE project life! I want to get my now 15 yr. old daughter into helping me with it. I have been seriously thinking of buying two complete kits for 2 of my nieces who are having babies next February, but I’m just not sure if they would use them. I’m thinking I am going to share this post with them, see what they say:) Thanks for the pics Becky ( and ladies who shared)!!

  5. Amy says:

I have been planning to use the PL kit for a baby book as well. I am happy to see some examples to give me the confidence to do it…they are awesome. Also want to say that I love the idea of coordinating stickers for the dividers. What a great way to keep them versatile, but allow people to make them match the kit if they want to! I can’t wait to see the school kits!

  6. Jaime says:

YAY! YAY! SO happy to hear that the binders will fit the school kit from a few years ago! i have the kits and want to go ahead and start getting them in binders. I love how it’s no pressure–5 pages at the end of each school year and DONE! I have the original Project Life, started it, and moved cross country mid way through it (and how I wish I could have kept up with it through all of that, but 3 kids under 6+moving it just didn’t happen). So now I I’m thinking of going back and “catching up” the years 2006–2011. My two youngest are starting to wonder why their older sister is the only one in all the scrapbook pictures!
Thanks as always for inspiration…..I have been a fan since your “Creative lettering” days!!

  7. Holly says:

Love feedback Friday, very informative! I’m missing the designed/coordinated monthly dividers, too. And stickers I’m not a fan of…just not as nice as the ones that were part of PJL the original year, or the Turquoise and Amber editions…I know there are the more neutral ones, but they just aren’t as special for some reason. Thanks for always being open to comments, Becky & Co! You guys rock!

    • I agree 100%! Without the designs, I am choosing to skip the dividers this year. I would be thrilled if you would release coordinating dividers.

Thanks so much for Feedback Friday! LOVING it!

      • Yvonne Gronau says:

Would love having the designs back on the dividers again as well. Thanks Becky!

        • SH says:

I love PL. One of the things I loved most about it was the designed monthly dividers. I’m really hoping they will be brought back…..please….please…..pretty please!! The designed dividers are what gives it that sophisticated, unique look that comes along with the BH Project Life line. I have to say that the designed dividers were my favorite part of the project and that is why I chose the Becky Higgins line versus anything else. I’m really hoping they will be brought back.

          • Kristy says:

            Perfectly said everyone!!!

I’m so glad to know that I wasn’t alone when I emailed Becky asking if there was any chance the co-ordinating dividers would be brought back.

They were also one of my favorite elements of the first 3 editions and while I can totally appreciate the versatility of the new ones, they just aren’t as special.

          • Kristy says:

I forgot to say that I would REALLY prefer the designs to be printed right on the dividers (just like the first 3 editions) rather than stickers I would have to adhere myself.

Seems to be a lot of support for the printed dividers, I wonder what the odds are we could get them for Cobalt & Clementine? Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top! Then I wouldn’t have any years without the printed dividers.

    • Robyn says:

In agreement, we need decorated dividers. No to stickers..not a good look! I was disappointed when I saw them as plain!
      Thanks

P.S. I asked this a few months ago and still hoping for a reply…what brand on the white chairs you have in your office? Thanks!

    • Diane Drysdale says:

I agree – I really miss the printed dividers! Please bring them back – they really made the album feel complete.

But I also want the blank ones when back in stock because I remember somewhere you telling up to stock up on them for the school kits.

    • Courtney says:

I also would LOVE to see coordinated dividers or stickers!!! I was actually kind of sad to see them go!! I was thinking alcohol inks and stamps may do the trick for now (or maybe a little traditional scrapbooking on both sides), but having coordinated stickers/dividers would be SOOOOOOO much better! Thanks :)

  8. Juli says:

Loving Project Life Becky!!!!! This is my first year. I am doing a Family Project Life album which I have been keeping up on for the most part…I am a weekely customer at the Walmart photo center!!!! I am also doing a Project Life album for our 5 year old son. I think the school PL albums would be great but I am incorporating that into his album already. For his I am taking a monthly approach. Since starting PL in January I have come across so many wonderful blogs that chronicle the use of PL…like Michelle Wooderson’s blog Mish Mash and Cherish Everyday by MaryAnn Perry. I have gotten so many wonderful ideas there! I love it that I can do PL and that it’s easy and quick yet I still incorporate “traditional scrapbooking” into my albums. Love the new additions you have introduced to PL like the 12×12 pages and the pocket pages for storing, say, some art projects from school.
I look forward to continuing Project Life in 2012!!!!!!

  9. Tamikko says:

I’m one of those few that don’t really like either of the 2 new designs and wishes you didn’t take away the one that I do love. Although I must note that I also wish the original was available. I would really love the original and Turquoise (not available in Canada) to come back.
    re: cultivate a good life
idea – how about a frame with a clip in the middle, with all the quotes on cards that can change daily or when that quote is resonating or needed.
re: the chocolate brown binder – I 2nd that (or perhaps 100th it)!!!
I like the idea of stickers that are clear on the dividers.
I very much appreciate the video coming. I can’t wait for the school/kid related set. I really think getting it out in the Summer is important as the majority will be able to take that extra time to set it up and know it’s in place for the start of school.
thanks for everything you do :)

  10. Rebekah says:

I was wondering the very same thing about your “Cultivate” series. I’m leaning towards that as my 2012 OLW and would love to include some of your quotes through out my year long album project with Ali! All signed up with Jessica’s course plus a few others! :)

  11. Kerry says:

I love the dividers–would love to see differnt types. Id love to see a free tutorial on how to use the pl journaling cards. Just a quick one on how to print text on cards.

I dont care for “culitivate ideas” – too preachy for me on what we should be doing.

    • Jessica says:

Liz Tamanaha on the creative team has instructions on printing onto pl cards on her blog, Paislee Press. She also has a free template for it. I love her style!

  12. kris says:

I would also like to see a quick free tutorial on how to print on 3×4 PL digital journal cards for hybrid scrapbooking. Id love to pop those in my PL book. $38.00 for class? ouch.

  13. Terri G says:

I am really llooking forward to your video about organizing school stuff.

I would be interested in decorative binder dividers. I like your sticker idea. I also thought about just adhering some paper on them. Or what if you designed some dividers that have pockets that you can slip your choice of paper in them?

  14. Deneigh says:

I like the idea of using your “cultivate a good life” thoughts as a desk calendar where you tear one off a day…could be super cute!

  15. Stephanie says:

Looking forward to the tutorial about organzing school stuff for kiddos until the School Version becomes available. Wondering when an official baby version will be out? I know I can use and modify the current offerings but hoping that baby specific PL may be coming soon?

  16. Janet White says:

I’d love to see a vertical 5×7 page protector. I’ve nearly used up all of them from the discontinued Pink Paisley pack, and while I can cut down a 6×12, I love the 5×7 choice for a quick layout or to hold things that are already sized 5×7 (like the front cover from a DVD case).

  17. Jacqueline R says:

LOVE the idea of having coordination stickers for the dividers!

  18. Stephanie S. says:

I would love it if the printed dividers returned. I think I could handle stickers…would they have repositionable adhesive ;) I have the dividers for the original kit but not for my Turquiose and I really miss them. I keep trying to tell myself I don’t “need” them but I do really love the look.

  19. Kristen says:

Thanks for the opportunity to chime in! I LOVE the idea of patterned or “themed” dividers. I’m anxiously awaiting the school kit and would be thrilled to see dividers with Pre-12 lettering and themes, as I don’t plan to use the large pockets for papers and memorabilia, but rather put those in page protectors as well. I’m not really big on stickers, but definitely would consider. I recently sold three of your previous school kits. They were great, but I felt like I could keep up with the PL method much easier. I’m planning to dig out a LOT of old pics soon and do a “10 year” album. You featured a reader who had done the same recently and I love that idea. Would love to have the dividers with labeled years for that. Thanks for all you do Becky!

  20. Corri Garza says:

I found you thought Lori Whitlock. I am in love with your products and am dying to try them out. This is something that I think I could manage….I am so far behind on my children’s photo albums that I know I could never complete them with traditional scrapbooking.

  21. April says:

    I agree, with this comment

chocolate brown binder – I 2nd that (or perhaps 100th it)!!!

    I will be #3 or perhaps #101 =-)

  22. Jean Kinney says:

Wow, i just love Cleetus! I had no idea such an enthusiastic scrapper existed. I am thinking of drying one of my famous Chocolate Chip Cookies at Their Best cookies for one of my pages but I would be afraid it might suffer the same fate as Cleetus’s vintage venison jerky!

I think using PL as a baby album is one of its best uses. Too bad I am “just” a grandma! Still, I have 10 albums already and am filling them with past and current pictures. I bought the original full kit in the digital version (along with Cobalt and Clementine – couldn’t stand the wait until the “hard” version is available!), but am wondering if you will be reviving the original album. Just want to have it to match!

Thanks for wuch great scrapping stuff, and, of course, Cleetus.

    Jean

  23. Melissa says:

I don’t know if anyone has ever mentioned it but I think it would be awesome to have a set of page protectors that fit the 4×4 Instagram photos. A lot of people use Instagram and printing the photos to fit in the 4×6 slots leaves you with having to mat the photo onto something. The protector could have 6 total 4×4 photos (3 down each side) with a column for four journaling cards in the middle.

    :)

    • Jessica says:

      I second that!

      • Lucia says:

We R Memory Keepers makes 12×12 pages with 4″x4″ slots. :)

        • Joanna says:

Thanks, Lucia. I’ve been wondering about this issue. I take all my photos with my iPhone 4, and a lot of them are the Hipstamatic prints, which are square.

Does anybody have advice on printing these??

          Thanks so much!
          Joana

          • Kari w/ BeckyHiggins.com says:

            @Joanna-
I have A LOT of Instagram prints as well, and just learned of a company called PostalPix – you can download the app from the App Store on your phone. You can easily order prints directly through the app in a variety of sizes … two of which are 4×4 or 5×5 (as well as normal 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10 options)! I have not placed my first order yet, but I have read reviews and I’ve heard the quality is great. I definitely plan to order from them and think it will be a GREAT way to get my prints for my Project Life album without having to worry about downloading, ordering from somewhere, and having to pick them up since they will be delivered in my mailbox!

        • Melissa says:

oooh! Thanks for the heads up!!!

  24. Jean Kinney says:

After reading all the comments, I have to add my support for dividers and stickers. My PL albums are not really organized by month, and customizable dividers would be great! As for journaling cards, I would also love suggestions on how to print a full 12×12 sheet of lined paper in WordPerfect or Word! Which could be cut into 12 joirnaling cards.

  25. Melissa S. says:

I would also love to see the coordinating scrapbook dividers. It would be nice if they would come printed to coordinate with the different sets, but if not, stickers would work, too. I just started purchasing some of the PL products recently for myself and my 14 year old daughter. I will be using mine starting Jan 1 as a family album. My daughter plans to use hers to scrapbook her first year of high school as she is a freshman this year. We are both so excited!! Thanks for creating such awesome products, Becky! :)

  26. Lucia says:

I think you’ve mentioned possibly doing this (maybe), but I love the idea of having a very neutral PL core kit. Think kraft paper, notebook/journal/graph paper designs, numbers, whites, off whites, light greys, simple shapes, some weathered elements, old paper, etc. Almost documentary/historical/ancestral in style. It might appear very masculine, but anyone could get it and add their own accents papers and colors to make it their own. Maybe that’s too out of the box for most, but I think it would work. I guess you could even offer bonus elements to go along with it (like a feminine or masculine or child packs)

  27. Judy says:

I want to weigh in on the printed scrapbook dividers. I LOVED having the designs match my book. Please consider putting those back in your line. I would SETTLE for clear stickers to adorn the plain ones. :-(

So patiently waiting for my new core kit to arrive from Black Friday sale!

  28. Shel says:

I would LOVE to see stickers so we can make our scrapbook dividers pretty and coordinate! So jealous of those who got them with older kits.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

  29. Lori Barrow says:

    Love feedback friday. Great idea!

    Lori

  30. Sonya says:

I wouldn’t mind seeing stickers for the page dividers. I think the plain ones are great, but I do kind of like some kind of design on them too.

  31. Lynn M says:

I have to add my vote for the printed dividers. I’m not sure I like the idea of stickers. One of the nice things about the previous kits was everything matched. No thinking, no mess. Neutral is fine for some things, but I’m so used to the color coordination of the other PL kits, that 2012 will look “funny” without the printed designs.

I also love the idea of more divided page protectors. A 5×7 portrait size would be wonderful. So excited reading all the great ideas. Your going to need to expand your “staff” soon.

    • Sabrina says:

I totally agree about the dividers. I have been using PL since Day 1. I liked it when everything matched. I really don’t like that everything is separate now. And everything is coming out at different times – I feel lilke I’m constantly checking to see when the “next” part will be available.

  32. kristin says:

Love Feedback Friday! Request…until you come up with the “it” idea for all your great “Cultivate a Good Life” quotes, would you mind either consolidating them under a “tab” on your blog or add a new blog category for these gems. I love the idea of being able to quickly reference these gems. They are such good reminders for me (and probably many of us). Many thanks for your consideration!! Best wishes and thanks for all you do!

  33. Dianna Noeth says:

VERY, VERY Happy to hear that you are re-printing the dividers with designs..I will purchasing those for sure. Yes, I would buy stickers to use with the plain ones BUT I prefer the ones with the print on them. They look so much nicer than a sticker, in my opinion. Thank you for bringing those back!

  34. Betsy McDonald says:

I would also LOVE for dividers to either have coordinating stickers or the design be printed on them. I’ve been doing Project Life from te start and really miss the coordinating dividers. I opted not to order the plain ones for my 2012 book, but I would definitely order printed ones should y’all decide to make them!

Thank you Becky for your cultivate a good life quotes. I enjoy reading them a d look forward to a compilation of some kind. They are things we all know, but wonderful reminders when we see them in print to do the things we should be doing daily. :)

  35. Irene says:

I love that the dividers are neutral and am sad that I missed out on getting them the first round (I am holding out for Tangarine and was planning to get everything at once). Thanks for making it neutral because I missed out on the kit for Project 365 and did my own thing (with you generous assistance of providing the journaling cards PDF). I won’t wait next time they are available. Please remember that you can’t please everyone and continue to go with your fantastic gut. Everything you have put out there so far has been FANTASTIC. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us. Now, I think I am going to go watch that video again and get a good laugh to get me through the rest of my afternoon!

  36. Alycia S. says:

Thanks for all you do, Becky, to make scrapbooking our lives so much easier! I really like the idea of having coordinating stickers for each PL design that could be used on the dividers (or in other ways). Great idea!

  37. Christina says:

Becky, Thank you for your informative posts. With all the new info and new product available, I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with all the choices and what is “best” for my family. I’m an all or nothing kind of girl, and right now I’m doing nothing to preserve my family’s memories because I don’t know which direction to go. Should I do PL for each of my kiddos’ first year and then an album a year after that for each of them? Should I just do a family album after their first year album? If I do an album for each kid, do I do a regular PL AND a school kit? When they reach the age of going to school, should I just do a school kit? I’m pretty overwhelmed! I feel very motivated to get organized and go through the piles of paperwork/ephemera in the upcoming year–especially since my five-year-old is so inquisitive about his family history. If you could answer in a Friday post or direct me to a post you’ve done in the past where you give suggestions on how to best tackle/organize documenting a family’s life I’d sure appreciate it! I really want to get my hands on more of your product, but I’m just at stand still until I know what simplified approach I should take. Thanks for all you do!

  38. Charity says:

I would DEFINITELY love to have the matching dividers back (or stickers to go on the plain ones)!

  39. kris says:

5×7 Vertical Pages would be fantastic!

Thank you sooo much for showing the baby pages examples. I was trying to order your old “Sweet Baby” kit so that my baby girl (due in April) would have the same setup as her big brother (if it ever gets finished – HA!) but honestly, I feel like I could do the same thing with PL without it being so labor intensive (and hence the reason his is still not finished!).

On another note, I would also be interested in dividers with designs on them that are customizable with stickers for dates/other notes. Or even the themed stickers would be great too.

Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication Becky!!

I love your “Cultivate a good life” quotes. I don’t have ideas for it, but I would love a product for them!

  42. Joanna says:

Lucia, I like this style a lot, too. Have you seen this website?

    Thank you for Feedback Friday!

I’ve touched on this before and looks like Christina has in the comments … I’d like some ideas, suggestions, examples, debate about multiple albums. For example … I have completed your old Sweet Baby Kit for my 18 month old son. I’m now waiting on my new PL kits to arrive and will be making a family album with it. But! That’s kind of “my” album, so what do I give to my son when he leaves home? And … What about subsequent children?! :) Only serious memory keepers have these dilemmas! I’ve gathered that some people make multiple physical albums for each child but that sounds too hard to me. Could you address this, please Becky, and/or gather how others tackle this? Thank you.

Patterned dividers get my vote. So each core kits includes the matching dividers. Each design includes dividers in the suite.

Can you please use month concepts when saying, for example, that the School Kits might be out by Summer 2012? Living in Australia, we are in summer now and I started getting overly excited!!

And an oldie … I’d love a punch that punches things to the same size as your journal card size.

And! I’d love matching things … Like a possible travel design, etc. I loved your old Sweet Baby Kit so much, how everything all totally matched. I will be in love with all my new PL stuff as soon as it arrives, too! People think I’m an ambassador for you because I rave so much about you!

Ok, that’s enough! Thanks Becky and co!

love the baby book examples. Do any of the ladies featured have a blog that we can check out to see more of their PL work?

  45. Tara McAlpine says:

Here are some things I would LOVE to see:

    chocolate brown binder
    5×7 page protectors
Patterned dividers that match each core kit. I really do not like to sticker idea
tutorial on how to print on journaling cards

Thank you SO SO much…I cant wait to get started!

I am so excited about ordering my Project Life for 2012! I can finally say that I am caught up with one year -2011~

My sister is due with her first baby any day now and I am trying to convince her that PL is the only way to go!

Thank you Becky, for your creativeness and insight to create such a wonderful product!

i, for one, would LOVE to see the dividers w/ designs on them come back. i like having dividers that correspond with my pages, but, in order to make them neutral, you could not include month names or numbers on them, but include stickers to enable people to customize them. i appreciate the customizable aspect of the new dividers, but i find them to be incredibly boring, as opposed to the previous ones which were beautiful and coordinated with the rest of the kit.

  48. Sheryl says:

DESIGNED DIVIDERS!!!! One vote for that please. I love mine from the Amber edition, and get comments on how fun they are every time friends leaf through my book. :) Thanks for bringing this up after my question on Facebook.

  49. Susan says:

Hi Becky – I have been looking in your archives to past posts and I can’t see a lot of the pictures or videos!! Is there something wrong with my computer, or can we no longer access these things? Thanks!!!

    • Brandi@beckyhiggins says:

I just checked it out on my computer, and I am able to see everything. You might need to check your “compatability view” or enable your “cookies” GL

To the Question:Are there any plans to offer the Scrapbook Dividers with designs on them?
    In your reponse:
How would you feel if we offer designer stickers that coordinate with each Project Life edition, and you would place those on the dividers?

My response: Yes!!! Yes! Yes! I love that idea! Pretty Please do it!!

P.S. I am so thankful that I discovered you and Project Life via Michelle Wooderson on her blog when she strated doing it and just loved the whole concept!

  51. Oh WOW I just love it ! Can’t wait to get started …. Is there a way to get the stuff I love shipped to Holland? Ik tried to order it but it seems impossible to sent it abroard :( (

  52. Megan says:

I like the dividers with designs but stickers would work too.

  53. Susanne says:

i, too, miss the designed dividers. i feel like the new ones are so boring and plain–so i just decided to not even purchase dividers this time. at the very least, clear stickers that coordinated with each kit would be good. but i would much prefer that each set of dividers were designed to go with that collection.
also add me to the list that would LOVE a punch for the journal slots!
love the concept of project life–i tell everyone about it. i’m about ready to put all of my other scrapbook supplies on craigslist. project life is all i need!!

Hi Becky – I am new-ish to PL and I have a question I am hoping you might address on another Feedback Friday. I have seen this mentioned on your FB page as well. Do you have any plans or would you consider designing a punch for the (roughly) 3″x4″ photo pockets? I’m guessing it would sell like hotcakes!

    Thanks!

So many wonderful ideas here and it must be hard not to get excited with creating new product. But please Becky could you put your mind to the school products that have been dangled in front of us tantalisingly for sooo long now. Way back in April on your blog you announced that they would be available around August-ish 2011; then when all the product was announced in August we were encouraged to go ahead and order photo pockets and big envelope pages etc with an appearance date of early 2012. So I went ahead and pre-ordered (being overseas) and pre-paid! and I have my product (you and the supplier have my money) and still nothing. Now I hear I have to wait until July 2012 (your summer). Yes I could go ahead and do my own thing but I was hoping to buy a school kit. Please fulfil the earlier promises before any new ideas appear.

  56. Cathy says:

I have a question I would love to have answered. I’m trying to decide whether to go with the Cobalt binder or the white/black one. The orderly person in me wants to stick with one color…i.e. the black or white…but I love the fun colors of Cobalt, which is the core kit I will be ordering. The question is…Will there be new, different binders each year?

I’m going to post this on FB as well, so that my question is more likely to be seen and answered, hopefully!

    TIA

Oh my word Becky!! (ha, ha – that’s like a rap song, girlfriend;)) ANyway!! I only got thru half this post to the Cultivate a Good Life question and I have another question for you!! I don’t do facebook or twitter but I am so trying to Cultivate my life right now – any possible way we could sign up to have those daily quotes or inspiration emailed? Pretty please!!!?? Or better yet text;) I could so use a good dose of inspiration every morning – I think I am dealing with a bit of SAD this winter season here in WA state – not enough light around here:(
