We still have a house-full of family and we’re having a truly beautiful and blessed Christmas. Of course I wish the same for you. Just wanted to pop in and say hello and let you know that I appreciate your patience as I’m not able to be as quick to answer questions as I usually am. This is family time.
There are still a couple of things I’m planning to share this week – my last video to wrap up the 12 Videos of Christmas series, and a post about scrapbook organization … big picture kind of stuff that will hopefully help a lot of you think about your own scrapbooking “system” as we head into 2012.
In the meantime, the Christmas decorations will soon be coming down but this is what will remain for possibly a couple more months.
We always have our Christmas Card Wall linger longer. Here we get to see many of our friends and family that we dearly love. I feel so blessed that we are associated with and connected to these amazing people. So we’ll have them stick around a while. ; ) Here’s a fun sequence that shows how this space evolved in the past month.

I saw a neat idea on pinterest. It suggested taking a picture, with your cell phone, of the photo on the photo cards you get and them in your contacts.
I just pushed purchase on Clementine Project Life. Can’t wait for page protectors to be back in stock so I can get started with the new year. Hope the wait isn’t too long!
I LOVE it! We have ours taped to our pantry door and ours tends to linger a bit longer than the Christmas decorations too!
Thanks for sharing … that’s great! What did you use to post them on the wall? My mom used to use regular scotch tape, but I rent & that’s not always a wise choice.
Just want to say thank you for being a special part of our Christmas Becky – without even knowing us personally! I quickly loaded my PL wallpaper onto my new iphone and love it! And spent this afternoon with my daughters setting up PL albums we all want to do. And we gave out Pretzel Hugs to all the neighbors this year from your recipe a few years back (love the search function on your blog). Anyway, thank you for enriching our family’s celebration with the products, free downloads, recipes and encouragement! We are grateful for YOU! Merry Christmas!
Sad to say I didn’t get many xmas cards this year, I myself have fallen off the card giving several years ago. I sent xmas photo cards of the boys and now there grown up. I am thinking life is pretty busy for the folks I know and this wasn’t a priority this year. Your wall makes me miss my photo door which held my xmas cards every year.
I would also love to know what you used to post them to the wall without damaging the wall/paint! Love it!
Our “card walls” are still up from the last three years. (We don’t get anywhere near the amount that you do.) I figure that I only get to see some of these people once a year on their card, so why not keep them up all the time. That way I get to see them everyday. And it’s fun to see how the kids change from year to year.
Have a great new year!
We do the same thing! And it makes me so sad to take them down. I love seeing all our friends as I pass by!
I too want to know how you got them to stick! I tried to do this a few weeks ago & mine all fell down. boo!!!! Course I was using removable pop dots bc I have years’ past card & would like to put all in a scrapbook (just have them in a box & heard a great idea for a 2 page spread with a few showing & a pocket for the rest).
I use painters tape. Works great and is gentle.
I love receiving Christmas card pictures. For many years I didn’t know what to do with them, but hated to throw them away at the end of the year. Now I keep them in our family devotional area. We have a family of the week that we pray for. We pull out the card as a family and offer a prayer for their safety, their walk with the Lord and any specific needs we know about. It’s been a neat way to re-use the cards.
I LOVE this idea. Great for the kids to be involved too.
I just have to ask, do you send out that many cards/family pic cards as well? Or do you send out more or less?
thanks,
Marcia
P.S. I got some money from my mom and my in-laws for Christmas, I can’t wait to order my PL stuff for the coming year, and for some past years!!!
P.P.S. Merry Christmas to the Higgins family, from the Froese family in Mission BC Canada!!!!
P.P.S.S Do you remember having all these “P.S’s” when you wrote notes to friends in Jr and Senior High? I am sure my hubby would be rolling his eyes at me by now! ; )
Does anyone know what the wall color is in Becky’s hall? It is the exact color I have been looking for.
Thanks
Her wall color is “castle path” by Behr
Becky, Just wanted to wish you a belated Merry Christmas. I have been a scrapbooker since I was 12 and have taught scrapbooking for the last 20 years. I’m making some changes in my life this year and I have decided to join Project Life and a new approach to scrapbooking! Am excited for this new adventure in scrapbooking.
What a special way to remember your friends and family through the year while teaching your children to pray for others. LOVE this idea!
WOW… I love the wall of Christmas cards, but I’m surprised by the number of digital photo cards. Being in the scrapbooking industry I expended to see a majority of hand made cards.
I have been making my own cards for 12 years now, and I unfortunately I find myself trying to “out do” my cards from the previous year. I know I bring this stress on myself, but I just can’t seem to stop it. This year it was all just too much and I didn’t make any cards. but I have to admit that I feel guilty about not sending out cards
OMG… love the christas card wall, but seriously? how big is your christmas tree????????????????? LUV IT!
Love the Christmas card wall! Am putting that in the calendar for next year!
I have a question…do you know when the 12×12 design a page protectors will be back in stock at amazon or is there another place to purchase them? I ordered my core kit and my cardstock! Have never done PL before, but I am very excited to find a fast, efficient and beautiful way to preserve my photos and memories! Your intro video really inspired me!
Thanks so much and Happy New Year!
I did this this year but taped them up in the hallway. I love that I can see them all but they aren’t cluttering up and falling over on a table or mantle. They add colour and interest, temporairly, to the hallway.
Wow! (that’s all I can say)
I love your card display!
Please share where you got your teal ottoman – I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
