{ no. 1  |  creative team update }

We are super happy to welcome Miss Kelly Purkey to the Project Life Creative Team and we think you’ll love what she has to share with us in 2012 as she embarks on doing Project Life to document her own adventures. Get to know her HERE.

If anyone would be the master at helping others to understand how to use the digital Project Life templates that are available on JessicaSprague.com, who would that be? Uh, yeah. Jessica Sprague. Well guess what? Jessica whipped up a little video tutorial out of the goodness of her heart and I think you’ll fine it really helpful. Check it out HERE.

{ no. 3  |  photo inspiration }

I put together a little collection of personal photos to share on Shutterfly, hoping to inspire others to document the everyday. You can check that out HERE.

There are a couple other related photo collections that I think are specifically inspiring to Project Lifers:

Slice of Life: Kids Were Here… by Jessica Deane

My Life in Five Photos: Everyday Moments by Ali Edwards

{ no. 4  |  clementine additions }

Lili Niclass, the fabulous and super sweet designer behind the Clementine Edition has just released a few extra Journaling Cards that coordinate and you can check them out HERE. She also has a set of 4×6 photo collages (HERE) that I think many of you will be pretty over-the-moon excited about.

{ no. 5  |  6×12 templates + tutorial }

Most of you know that Ali Edwards creates some of the best digital templates and many of them go so perfectly as an add-on to Project Life. She recently added templates specific for the 6×12 Page Protector (currently sold out but available again in a few weeks) and also shared a video tutorial for working with the layered templates. You’ll find all of that HERE.

{ no. 6  |  inspiration for stuff to keep }

Jessica Turner (The Mom Creative) has come up with a wonderful resource and free printable that Project Lifers will love. It’s a document called 100 bits of Life and you can get it HERE.

{ no. 7  |  project life for free }

Right now there are 2 Project Life giveaways happening so be sure to go enter for a chance to win. Go to The TomKat Studio and Margie Romney-Aslett‘s blog. Both giveaways close tomorrow – Thursday night.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

    Thank you so much for all the continued inspiration and helpful links, Becky! It is so neat to see the PL community growing and supporting each other! I don’t know anyone in my “real” life that does PL, so I find this online community very, very helpful.

    Yesterday I asked about a digital form of the grid 3x4s, today I have one more question – do you have any plans to add to your Creative Team someone who is doing a digital Project Life (not the Shutterfly version)?

    Thank you,
    Maria

    I love the plastics! They are completely original hold have slots for both photos AND journaling cards. Simply amazing!

  12. Leah says:

    Thank you for all of these!

    I don’t know where to ask my questions, so I hope it is okay to ask here. Is there a place where you have addressed the process from after you take the photo to the moment you slide it into the album? Or where someone else has explained this?

    I imagine for many people, this is automatic. But I stopped scrapbooking before we got a digital camera. My photos are downloaded to our computer, but we have not even done that regularly.

    It seems like I need both a photo organizing software program on my computer and a photo sharing site on the web. I do not know which ones to get.

    My goals would be organized storage on our computer, then storage online, sharing with family and friends and maybe even printing. (Can you save and share on one site and print from another?) At this point, I will be printing photos and putting them in albums rather than making photo books, but eventually that may change.

    Thanks.

    Such great info- I’m so excited to be doing PL again. Started with original 365 but didn’t get as far as I would like. New attitude and focus this time! Love the video tutorials – thanks to Ali I was finally able to put 2 photos in 1 4×6!! Thanks to Tom Kat for give away too.

  14. CeciMami says:

    Thanks for the link to the 4×6 collages! Do you know if they can be used in Photoshop Elements? :)

  15. Mindy says:

    I have a big small-question: I noticed in one of the blog giveaways you linked that there was a stamp in her picture. I recently discovered Project Life, but was sad to find out I couldn’t get everything in one fell swoop as before. So I’ve got a WishList of products going before I buy to see which items of the previous Kit I wanted. But I haven’t seen the date stamp listed anywhere. I know it’s a small thing BUT I wanted to know…

    Does it come with the Core Kit or do I have to find my own elsewhere? And what size would I need to fit well into Project Life?

    Please let me know! I’m buying soon!

    I think I am totally going to take a leap of faith, and order the turquoise edition binder and cardstock to complete a big 50th Anniversary Disney trip that our family of 11 took last November. I really like the colors best for all of our photos. Any chance I can get you to comment on the likelihood of the turquoise core kit coming back in stock? Thanks Becky. Love your products. (Completed a year of Project 365 w/ Project Life!)

  17. Michelle B says:

    I love all the printables that are out there. I have GIMP that I used to use for doing digital scrapbooking. I’m pretty sure I could use it for these. I just don’t have a printer…lol. I was able to order some premade journaling cards on Etsy but there isn’t a huge selection. Looks like I’m going to have to work on getting a printer.

  18. Alida says:

    Hi, I’m not sure where to leave my competition entry> I totally love the Turquoise kit I have now, but think I’ll go for the Cobalt next.

  19. Sarah says:

    Thanks for the inspiration – having a blast beginning my 2012 album.

    Question I’m hoping you’ll answer in your next feedback post – the new journaling cards are a little taller than the old ones, and don’t fit perfectly in the old Design A page protectors that I have. Will the new Design A page protectors fit them better? Thanks!

  20. Katie G. says:

    I can’t WAIT to get started on this! I am an AVID scrapbooker but have not had time with work lately….this is perfect!

  21. Natasha Peters says:

    Just wondering if in the future your digital project life books could look a little more like your digital project life templates? I was going to do digital this year, but was disappointed that it seemed more like a ‘photo book’ then what I was expecting, and I guess I like the ‘traditional’ project lift look. Thanks!

  22. Jen Sloan says:

    Hi Becky I was wondering if there was a way to save the digital project life tutorial so if I had a question I could refer back to it. I love how Jessica Sprague made it very clear to understand how to use the template, but I would like to be able to refer back to it if I get stuck.

    Thanks so much! I love the designs!
