Monica McNeill shows how she printed the labels on a textured cardstock, trimmed to the exact size, and adhered the design to the folded piece that comes in every binder. Note: You can just discard that folded piece that comes with the binder if you want to eliminate thickness.

Hi! Could someone please tell me if the 4×6 cards seen here http://www.paperclipping.com/project-life-week-1-the-now-i-get-it-post/are included in the core kit please? I have the 2011 PL edition and there were only bi-fold cards. I’m wondering if maybe they were printed with the digital kit on sale on JessicaSprague.com. Thank you!

I’m using a different version…but I think those are the bi-fold cards just not folded. And yes….there are bi-folded cards in the core kits.

Thank you Theresa, but as you can see there is no crease on the card and there isn’t any rounded top. I think the lack of this would decide me to buy the new PL, I didn’t quite know what to do with the previous bi-folded cards.

Hi!! I’m still thinking those might be the bi-folded cards. The new ones don’t have the rounded tops and the crease in the middle (in my kit anyway) are not that noticable. In older versions I simply cut the rounded tops off. I have the Cobalt kit this year and love it! What edition are you using from last year?
Sorry if I mislead you. But I do think that’s them! Another think I did was just use a regular index card (4×6) and dressed it up a little with the matching card stock from the kit! If I were you…and this is only my opinion…use the edition you have now! You’ll love the completed album and it’s such a good feeling when you use up products you already have.

I forgot to mention…I cut some of the bi-folded cards and used them as single journaling cards in my PL…It was nice to have even that many more journaling cards to choose from.

Sooo excited! I just bought 6. Yep, that’s right, I’m contributing to the problem of you selling out quickly. I am loving the idea of using white for Project Life “i.e. the blank slate waiting to be filled” and black for my son’s baby albums that I have done using PL kits. Thanks for the labels too! Will look much better than my handmade ones.

I can’t wait for my binder to arrive. I’m almost done documenting week 1! But, I have found one thing that I’m not super happy about. I understand that people are going to be using the “A” style page protectors. I bought the multi pack. I used a style “B” page for the 2nd half of my layout. I went to my core kit to get a journaling card, only to find that all of the cute designed ones are really designed to only go vertically. I know I can use the white grid cards, but I don’t want to use that for all of the horizontal spots. So bummed….it can’t just be me! lol

Thank you so much for the labels, they are so cute (and versatile – I’ve printed the Cobalt label to put on my Clemetine binder, and it looks gorgeous). And I love that I was able to print on the label using my photo editing software, and didn’t need to hand-write on them. Thank you again

I’m new to PL and am wondering how I could start because I use 8.5×11 and 8×8 albums? The 12×12 are too heavy for me to lift. I’m a paper and hybrid scrapper.

I brought mine into Storybook Creator by Creative Memories and added a text box. Now I want some for my other albums. I’m sure you could do this in PSE, but I have never been able to figure out the program.

Alice, just keep taking pictures and jotting down notes (handwritten or computer or with an app or whatever your preference). Keep it all organized on your computer in one place … or print your pictures and keep them together. When the product is in your hands, you’ll be able to catch up so quickly!
This is my first year to do PL. Loving it so far. It is making me think outside the box in the pictures I take. Absolutely love the binder labels. Now I need some for all my other WRMK albums. Any chance we could get some that are changeable? I would even pay for them.
Is there a link to Monica McNeill’s instructions for sizing the label correctly? When I print the labels, they are too large for the binder. It’s probably simple, but I’m not sure how to do it. Thanks!
