Please bear with me as this will be another topic for another day. We’re working on a lot of product development right now. A lot. I know there are many questions on what we’re working on and when it’s going to become available. We’re super excited that you are anxious for the next round of new items.
Not only do I prefer to have more information before I share any more, but I also have been completely consumed with today’s shipment arrival and really need to get through this weekend with so much going on. I literally gave play-by-play updates as products were showing up on Amazon shelves, and I personally answered most questions that were asked on facebook, twitter, and here on my blog. As Ellie in New York stated on twitter today, I would TOTALLY wear a t-shirt saying I survived the Feb 2012 Project Life Re-stock. Ha! No kidding, sister. : )
On a similar, funny note: Dawn in Arizona said this on facebook today: “I kept checking all morning and was totally stressing out since I had to leave to go to my cardiologist appointment. My doctor even commented my blood pressure was high and I said, You have no idea… I NEED my project life stuff and I just know they are going to be out before I get home! He gave me a crazed look and I was so relieved when my phone decided to finally corporate so I could place my order. He came back to check my blood pressure a few minutes later and it had gone down. He said, Wow! That must be important stuff to stress you out that much! HA HA!!!
Trust me – we do not intend for the ordering process to be stressful. Ultimately we would love to have an insane amount of inventory for every single product so that we never run out. But right now we’re doing the best we can.

I think you did an awesome job today of keeping us all informed. I was so excited to wake up this morning and find that most of the stuff I wanted was already on the Amazon shelves. Keep up the good work because I know that all of us out here in blog/facebook/twitter land really appreciate it
Becky:
Two words……
YOU ROCK!!!
Thankds for keeping us updated. My ISP is probably wondering what was going on for me to keep refreshing so many times this afternoon.
Thanks.
Becky, Becky, Becky…you are truly the BEST there is!!! I have NEVER done business with a company where the owner is sitting their computer giving blow by blow details of the incoming shipment. You could have easily informed us that today was going to be THE day & left it at that. We’re all fully capable of gettin-r-done!! I truly thank you for the time you sacrificed from your day & family to keep ME advised on the PL products!! And MY shirt is going to say “Project LIFE is going to be the DEATH of me”….lol
I CAN NOT WAIT to get my products & get started. You would be so proud of the photos I’ve been taking while awaiting the arrival of the plastics.
I hope your weekend slows down & you’re able to truly enjoy your success! How proud you must feel
Thanks again!
Wow! I’m even more determined to get started on project life now! Obviously, these are amazing products and ideas! I am currently trying to decide between the digital project or the kit. Any suggestions??? This will be my first time with project life.
I have been stalking the site and finally scored the last of my beginning set, the 3″ X 5″ cards. They are up! Can’t wait to get started! maggieb!
Just FYI everyone – the 3×4 grid cards are showing up as available!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Becky!!! I just placed my order for the big pack of Design A (and of course I added a few other Project Life items).
I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a shipment to arrive! Thanks so much for keeping us updated!
I am SO bummed!!! Okay “bummed” doesn’t even begin to touch how I’m feeling! I just got an e-mail from Amazon saying they canceled my order for the Design A because the product wasn’t available!!! WHAT???!!!!!! I feel like crying!
That happened to me, too! Ordered on the 17th… saw people’s comments about cancelled orders, didn’t get one so I was sooo excited… THEN I got the email TODAY (23rd)! Bummer… I wanted to cry, too!
Bravo Becky!!! You obviously pour heart and soul into your company. I hope after the dust settles you can journal about “what customer service means to me” and reflect on this day. We talk a lot with our kids about “going for the A” at school, and not just getting by. Unfortunately, it seems poor service and sloppy practices with customer care are everywhere. Thank you for not only putting out high-quality, affordable products, but for also caring about OUR experience with ordering, receiving, using, and enjoying those products. You truly are offering phenomenal attention to all of us – way beyond what could be expected. Just want to say thank you! It really does matter
I hope the Higgins team can fall into bed and feel great joy with a job VERY WELL DONE! Hooray for your company and your family today! (And hooray for all of us who will be happily doing Project Life in all the weeks to come with the new packages on the way!)
Woo-hoo! Can’t wait! Just ordered mine and it says it will be here early next week! Thanks for letting us know… So excited!! Hope you have a restful weekend!
thank you sooooo much!!!!!!! i’ve been waiting for this day. I just ordered my project life supplies and i cannot wait for them to arrive. i am excited to slip the last few weeks of my project life photos and journaling cards into my new page protectors and see the completed pages! this project has truly changed the way i photograph my family and my life and is giving me the best kind of everyday memories to keep forever. thank you for sharing project life with the world! and for the updates today!!!
So bummed the F pages were not restocked. Wish you would have told us that ahead of time since I was attempting to do one order so waiting for them to be available. The other updates were great.
Gwen, the blog post before this did list the items that would be arriving. You can find that here: http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2012/02/restocking-products/ While it does stink to have to wait, but I think Becky has done a phenominale job trying to keep informed. I believe she mentioned April-ish for the other products.
I am really impressed. How many other businesses–small or large–would have done what you did in the way of informing customers of what was happening? Odds are, there is no one out there who has the volume that you do that would stay in contact with a mega fulfillment house like Amazon to update their customers.
I believe in supporting independent businesses who have integrity. I will be supporting yours!
Everything is great! Products are back and we as a scrapbooking community could not be happier! Thanks for all the up-dates and if you design those shirts I bet they sell out also:)! Thanks to your family as well, what a great support system. Debbie
Woot woot! I got all my page protectors ordered & the dividers. I should have came to the blog first & used the links here as they are all over the place on Amazon. LOL! It’s all good though…I conquered Amazon & got all my big variety packs ordered.
Life is Good!
I was able to get the rest of my Project Life 2012 items yesterday and I was so thankful for your updates as I only wanted 3 specific things that I wasn’t able to get last time. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your hard work and I love your products. Thank you Becky!
Becky,
First off, let me tell you that you and your whole team is fabulous! Your products are great, of course, but your personality and your love of documenting life is so evident that it is contagious.
I wanted to put in a small request, would you maybe consider a large pack of design D like you have for design A? I know you have a million things on your mind and are catching up on everything else but I thought I would put it out there.
Reading your blog and those of your creative team is one of the highlights of my day. I always look forward to your posts. Thank you for being you, and sharing so much of you with us.
Life as an business owner…luckily you get to work at home.
Cant wait for turq core kit—-March or April?
Is the big pack of Design A really sold out already? Or is it just a minor glitch? I’m afriad I may have missed out again, please say it isn’t so!!!
It already sold out, in less than 24 hours. Obviously not enough were not ordered. While Becky is great at communicating, there are issues with supply and demand!
A4PR
I’m also bummed that i missed the big pack of design A pages. Wasn’t home yesterday so wasn’t able to order them.
Will there be more coming in April? Just going to have to figure out something else until then.
I ordered the Big Variety Pack 2, it has 40 of the Design A and 20 of the Design D
http://www.amazon.com/Photo-Pocket-Pages-Variety-Pack/dp/B006VOUJUU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1329667108&sr=8-2
I also logged into amazon too late. Those desigh A were already sold out. I need those so bad!
Oh I am so glad I went digital. I’d be going crazy waiting to order the stuff on Amazon. Do you all remember the nightmare of the very first Project 365 on New Year’s Day, 2009? Becky, you have been through that and I know that is why you are working so hard to make it work as well as possible. You are so amazing!!! I have never seen anyone so devoted to customer service. Even though I’m going digital, I still thank you for all your efforts in getting out product. I don’t suppose you have any doubt about whether this is a popular item????
Take a breath. You’re doing fantastic.
Hugs
So bummed that while I was waiting for page protectors to place the rest of my order (to avoid double shipping charges)…OTHER things that were not included in that big shipment have sold out. April or May? That’s half the year gone. sigh.
I was also waiting to place all of my order at the same time. I want the Clementine Core Kit, but now that I can get the pocket pages, I can no longer get the kit! Yikes! If I don’t get started soon, it’ll never happen! Do you think these will be back in stock soon??
I also missed out on the big pack of design A page protectors. I checked Amazon and this blog several times on Feb 17th for updates and then life got in the way. On my way to bed I mentioned to my dh that I didn’t get a chance to check that night to see if the page protectors had arrived yet. I went to bed hopeful that all would be fine since you mentioned that your shipment was a large one. My dd had a tap lesson the next morning and after that, when I checked your blog and Amazon I was so crushed
It looked as though Design A was sold out. AGAIN!! I had waited for that shipment since the holidays and I’ve been anxious to set up my PL album. What was I going to do now? (Somebody please pass the blood pressure cuff!) My dh told the kids that I was stessed out and having issues. He tried to cheer me up, which I thought was sweet. Fast forward to this morning. I woke up thinking about PL and decided I’d order the Big Variety Pack 2 and make it work. I didn’t really care for the vertical page protectors, but I figured I could turn my album sideways and still insert my photos horizontally. Not too big a deal. I considered ordering other pocket page protectors for my PL album, but they wouldn’t have been as nice as yours, which are designed with your journaling cards in mind. I love PL and was not willing to wait until almost mid-year for another chance at the Design A page protectors. So, if you’re reading this and you didn’t score the Design A page protectors, just go ahead and order the set that I ordered and make it work. There are 40 Design A sheets in that set and only 20 of the vertical sheets. It’s all good. I’m guessing Becky had no idea how popular the Design A set was going to be. I can’t wait for my order to arrive and I’m happy and excited again. Becky, for the record, if it wasn’t for the Big Variety Pack 2, I might of had a PL spaz attack. Seriously!! LOL!!
Please please please can you post the video you said you had made about how to prepare for the upcoming school kits? I’ve been waiting for the school products for 2 years (this sounds ridiculous even to me!) and around christmas time you mentioned the video would be up soon so we could start capturing stuff even though the physical product is a few months away. I have been stalking your blog since then and was just wondering whether this post is still scheduled or you’ve forgotten about it? Thanks so much for PL, I am a Huge Fan.
I was so delighted to have gotten a chance to order Design A during the very short time they were available, but only because the ones I really have used and love will not be available for a while – Design F. For me, the ‘F’ pages do exactly what works in my life and for my use. I also have wound up using pages with 6 horizontal 4×6′s whereby I can insert two 3×4′s side by side. Those pages are also available locally and are much less expensive. I can also make a background of 4×6 and tape on my two 3×4 cards or even cards a little smaller so the background shows through. Looks very nice and is efficient. But I’m really waiting for ‘F’ pages.
Thanks for all the preparation and ideas
I am just sick! Just about everything I wanted is now sold out! This is so frustrating!

I am somewhat frustrated. I got the paper kit for Christmas and having been waiting to use it because there were no page protectors available. I’ve been watching your blog and waiting for the order to arrive at Amazon. I placed my order on Sat. the 18 and got my confirmation notice at 8:50 am that morning for everything I ordered. Then today I got an e-mail from amazon saying that they could not ship me the big pack design A page protectors due to lack of availabilty from the suppliers. It’s very disappointing not being able to start Project Life because there are no page protectors available. Is there a way for when the next shipment comes in those of us who ordered them and then got the notification that we can’t get them afterall can get them when the next shipment comes in? Thanks for making such an awesome product that clearly everyone wants!
Stacy, I was not able to get the design A pages when I got my Cobalt kit, either. I wanted to start Project Life at the beginning of the year, so I started using pages with 6 horizontal 4×6 slots, thinking I would order the design A pages when they became available. I’ve found that I actually like using the pages I have now – I can put 2 3×4 cards in each of the middle slots or put in 4×6 pictures or cards if I’d rather. They’re actually more versatile than the design A pages, and I can buy them at a local store and don’t have to play the waiting game for the specialized pages. You might want to try them and see if they’ll work for you.
Hi Becky,
Just as others have said…Disappointed about the Big Pack Design A situation. Just for your FYI…I actually didn’t get delayed till the 18th to place my order ….my order WAS placed on the 17th. I actually kept checking and when I went to place my order I wobbled about getting the other Big Variety Pack 1…didn’t really want to spend that much at once, but glad I did because even though Amazon took my order for both Big Packs…JUST this morning they sent me an email,
“Due to a lack of availability from our suppliers, we will not be able to obtain
the following item(s) from your order:
“Photo Pocket Pages – Big Pack of Design A (60 Pages)”
They had already taken the order (as of the 17th) AND charged my credit card. Now they say it will be several days to credit my account.
Thought you’d like some details. It’d be one thing if it showed sold out from the get go but to take the order as if they had them and then to wait three days and then learn my order was cancelled…not the best.
Hope it all gets figured out soon…thanks.
Kathi
I read through my comment and others from this day and the next posting and wanted to make sure I had not come across as being bitchy, etc as that was definitely NOT my intent at all. I only wanted Becky (et al) to know about the issues with my ordering process which appeared to have gone through (including my credit card being charged) only to find out 3 days later that my order was cancelled. It appears now from other comments that this happened to many others.
)
Being a long time Amazon customer I have never had that happen before.
It’s clear that Becky is doing somersaults to try and make everyone happy and keep everyone updated. It’s also clear you all cannot control what Amazon does, however my purpose in posting my comment(s) was it is important for a business owner to know what the company is doing…that is the singular source for their product.
Hang in there ( I will ).
Kathi
I have ‘enough’ and will wait for the next shipment and will probably get the digital kit and combine that with what I already have.
Thanks for listening and
Hi Becky!
As you are think about designing a Baby Kit, I wanted to suggest keeping in mind those people who adopt children into their family! I don’t know how your kits will be themed and I am sure some journeling and title cards would be universal….Thank you for how you read the comments and even reply to them!
I just wanted to echo my thoughts to those that are disappointed and upset that they missed out on the Design A protectors before they sold out and say the solutions that others are offering are great! This is my 4th year of doing Project Life, and for the first 2 years all I used was the 6 4×6 page protector, and I set it up the same way as Design A, just put my 2 2-3 journaling cards in the middle section, it didnt matter if it was divided or not. There are plenty of ways to make it work, and no need to put it off until April or May or whenever the next shipment comes in. Just make a start, and in years to come, it won’t matter that you didn’t have the exact supplies you wanted, you’ll just be glad that you have recorded this time in your life! Have fun everyone, and have a blessed day!
Just wondering if we could get a more detailed feel for the arrival of the turq core kit other than March or April?
Thanks
Hi Becky,
Will the Clementine core kit be back in stock? Hope I didn’t miss out??
becky-i love that this video was posted on the same day that i received my daughters packet of information to register her for kindergarten. as i was emotional about her growing up and starting that new phase i quickly became excited seeing what you have done with your kids school stuff. now i can’t wait for her to get off the bus that first day with the first thing that will go in her album!
for those that are upset about missing getting the products they need….i sometimes go a month w/out actually putting my pictures and other ‘stuff’ in the album. by keeping dated folders on your computer and a physical folder can keep you super organized. plus i have so much fun putting ‘weeks’ together that i sometimes like having more than one to do at the same time.
thank you becky for creating something that we are all very passionate about (some more than others!!)
liz
I got my sheet protectors the other day and I was so excited to get started on my project life again! Now I’m very frustrated and disappointed… I go to use my design A, D, and G and they are just barely too small where the picture doesn’t fit. The pictures hang out the top about 1/4 of an inch, and they are too narrow so the pictures curl. The plastic also seems more flimsy than the sheet protectors I got in December? Is anyone else experiencing this?
