You say you are holding strong against pinterest. I had the same attitude because I didn't want to waste time on it. A friend finally convinced me to sign up. It has helped me to stay much more organized on my computer, better able to find links that I had saved and I print less things such as recipes because I can pull them up much faster from my boards than digging around in a file of printed papers. I still make a personal choice to not surf around on pinterest, that is where I can waste too much time but in other aspects, it saves time and resources for me.

Love this idea! The filler cards are perfect for this! Because I likethings matching, I'd probably print the digital versions for the backs, and then you could have a different back for each different card game you create.

Fun idea! Thanks for sharing. I love the thought of using family pics rather than a commercially bought game.

Becky I just wanted to share with you that in the last couple of days my 5yr old has started asking me to photograph everything then asks "Can that go in your album??" LOL Melts my heart. I guess I am influencing him :) Made me smile to think it is one way I am positively teaching him by example as he is becoming more observant about things happening around him and aware of the importance of preserving memories.
My favorite example is from Easter...he begged me to photograph his chocolate bunny from every angle before he would eat it so he could remember what it looked like LOL. It was adorable...he had already nibbled the ears so spent ages adjusting the foil wrapper to make the ears look like they were sticking up again and I wondered what he was doing then he asked me to take a picture, and then another hehe. Love my little man :)
