how to make $ off of project life

I can imagine some of your eyebrows went crooked. Or maybe you just sat straight up in your chair. Or maybe you have a really puzzled look on your face like – what kind of pyramid scam is Becky trying to pull here?

Nope. I’m not scheming in the slightest. Just the opposite. I’m sharing something with you that I think many of you will be very, very happy to know about. You guys know how grateful we are for the word-of-mouth growth of Project Life. You use our products for the easiest memory-keeping system ever. You love it. So you tell your friends. Your friends tell their friends. And what started as an idea of “one or two kits a year” has very quickly led to the fact that we currently have more than 80 items available and coming soon. Everything is still part of the same, ultra-simple system. We have just grown to offer more options to meet your personal style.

So fun.

Clearly this demand for solution-based scrapbooking is very real, and we are incredibly grateful to be a part of helping you get your pictures into albums with way less stress and confusion and time and even money.

We get a lot of emails with messages like “You won’t believe how many of my friends are now doing Project Life” or “I literally just told 10 people about your products” or “Now everyone at work is waiting for your products to be back in stock” or “Can I be a distributor for your products?”

In light of the fact that we are just around the corner from receiving more shipments … I wanted to share with you how you can actually monetarily benefit from spreading the word if you’re interested. This only applies to customers in the U.S.

Have you heard of Amazon Associates?

This is how it works. You create an associates account for yourself. It’s free. You add your favorite products to your “store” and you get a link for each item that has your special code in it. Let’s say you just can’t imagine scrapbooking without the Big Envelope Pages. You add this to your store and share the link on your blog (like I just did) or via email or facebook, etc.

A friend clicks on that link (that has your assigned special code) and decides to buy the Big Envelope Pages. She pays the regular Amazon price. Everything is normal on her end. You don’t have to do a thing, but guess what? When she purchased those, you just got a little commission off of those Big Envelope Pages – and anything else she may have purchased at the same time! You win. They win.

I’ll let you read up on this so you can understand more about the program if you’re interested. Since so many of you are sharing your favorite products with friends & family already, I just figured you might like to know about this. I personally am asked on a regular basis about my favorite this or that … so guess what? I have an Amazon store where some of my favorite products (available on Amazon, of course) are all categorized. That’s no secret.

So when someone says “I’m tired of my kids’ goggles fall apart after one season” … I can simply share this link with my friend instead of trying to describe them or remember the brand of our favorites. It doesn’t cost my friend a penny more by having my little code in that link vs. doing a search for it on Amazon. But Amazon shares a small percentage with me. We are using these commissions to help fund our kids’ college funds.

Make sense? Amazon is smart, aren’t they?

[Disclaimer: Any questions about the program must be directed to Amazon Associates. I don't work for Amazon and we are unable to address any specific inquiries.]

…..

Regarding the product that is “right around the corner” – we finally have an appointment from Amazon that tells us our NEW inventory of plastics will arrive Wednesday.

This includes everything outlined in this video. As for the Core Kits and Organizational Trays? That delivery time as not yet been confirmed but we’re working on it and it will likely happen right after the plastics arrive (the next day? a couple days? we don’t know yet). As for all the Textured Cardstock (Bazzill cards), White Cards, and Grid Cards … we are hoping to see those by the end of the month but I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you for explaining how this works in a simple, easy-to-understand way! (especially for my currently sleep-deprived brain) :) I’ll definitely be looking into this. I buy so much from Amazon now, why not get a little back? :)

That’s great — thank you! Have you ever thought about eventually having consultants? That would be so awesome!

  6. Nicole says:

Also, I know you said to direct questions to Amazon, but, since you have an account, do you get money back on items that you purchase yourself from items posted in your store, or is it only from the purchases of others? Thanks so much! And, it’s been about a month since I’ve said it, so, I’m due — You’re Awesome!!! :)

      Hi Nicole,

I was just reading the Associates Program Participation Requirements on the Amazon site and came across the following that will answer your question…

      29. You will not purchase any Product(s) through Special Links for use by you or for resale or commercial use of any kind. Similarly, you will not request or encourage any of your friends, relatives, or associates to purchase any Product(s) through Special Links for use by you or them or for resale or commercial use of any kind. Further, you will not offer any Products on your site for resale or commercial use of any kind.

The person clicking through to Amazon from your Amazon store also has to buy the product you are recommending within 24 hours! for you to get a commission.
