introducing : the Baby Editions

I just had to do a video for this next big reveal because instead of just showing you the product, I’m taking you on a tour – page by page – of the actual baby album I’m working on for our son Crew (who is nearly 4 now) – using the cards from the Baby Edition for Him. I’m going to let the video do all the talking now.

…..

{ worth noting }

1. Designer. The amazing (and holy beautiful) Lili Niclass is the graphic designer behind all 3 Baby Editions. Recognize her name? She designed the wildly popular Clementine Edition of Project Life also. We adore Lili and collaborating with her on projects is a joy. I asked Lili to skip any temptation to add cutesy baby bottles and diaper pins into the designs, keeping the designs very fresh and modern – and yet classic. She nailed it.

2. Versatility. As with everything else we do, this product is designed with flexibility and versatility in mind. Every single card is double-sided. Perhaps a title card with horizontal orientation doesn’t fit well with an occasional layout (or all of the layouts!) because you’re using something other than Design A Photo Pocket Pages. No problem. Flip it over for the Vertical art. Perhaps you just don’t have much to say on a particular layout so you’re not interested in filling all the 3×4 pockets with Journaling Cards? No problem. Flip those over once in a while for gorgeous “filler” art that will complete your page.

3. Adoption, etc. The Baby Edition Core Kit works well for documenting Baby’s first year (or the earliest part of their life). In the context of the Project Life Core Kit, babies are babies are babies. In other words, whether they come to you via birth or adoption, whether they were welcomed into a traditional family or not, whether you’re working on a more recent baby album or you going back and getting this done for your “baby” that’s now in college, or maybe even doing your own baby book … the product is versatile. Even if there are a few cards that you feel don’t “apply” to the story you’re telling, there are plenty extras to make up for the un-used cards. You won’t run out of cards.

4. Plenty to spare. Because you will undoubtedly have extra cards, even after completing a full album for Baby, you will love having these on hand as little notes for baby gifts or other baby projects.

5. Best gift ever. Speaking of gifts, there truly was never a better baby gift available until now. (Okay, so I’m biased.) I mean, seriously – think of it. Any mother who welcomes a new child into her family is undoubtedly going to be taking loads of pictures and she is going to want to do something with them. Let’s help new moms NOT feel guilty, or feel like she has to do elaborate, time-consuming, “creative” scrapbooks. This is the easiest system ever for getting a scrapbook done – and seriously, so fun. So truly fun to slip photos + Title Cards + Journaling Cards into pockets with ever touching a pair of scissors or adhesive. Best thing since sliced bread.

6. We thought of everything. I can’t possibly show every card design in this blog post, but know this: There are designated First Page + Last Page cards, as with all other Project Life Core Kits. The Baby Edition includes 25 unique 4×6 Pre-labeled Title Cards with topics I recommend you include in Baby’s album, as well as 35 additional Blank Title Cards for whatever topics you want to include. There are 40 4×6 Prompt Cards and 80 3×4 Prompt Cards, offering suggested things to write about. Bi-fold cards for longer journaling? Check. Blank Journaling cards with ample room to write about anything and add captions to your pictures? Check. There are 400 of those. Half of them offer the horizontal version on the back of the card and half of them simply have a filler design, as mentioned earlier.

All of this to say … this is not not NOT your average cutesy baby-themed scrapbooking product. The amount of time, thought, design work, conceptual work (all with a heavy emphasis on organization) that went into the Baby Editions will be clear as day as you flip through the cards and see how solution-based this is. Plus, the actual graphic designs and color palettes are just so stinking cool – no matter if you’re doing this For Him, For Her, or going with the neutral set.

How about I stop writing, and just fill the rest of this post with pictures?

…..

…..

Right now we anticipate these baby products by the end of this year – hopefully November. As with all of our products, you will always see the most updated timing on individual items as they’re listed on our Products page. And yes – we’re working on loading ALL of this week’s newly-revealed products to that page right now. Coming very soon.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! What an awesome way to capture all the specific memories. Love the prompt cards- way more indepth than traditional baby books. Unfortunately it is 11 years to late for me. I have long ago completed a traditional baby album. Back then no digital prints and I don’t know if I even have the negatives or where to look for them. But I believe this is the BEST baby gift and will use it as such! Thanks for an awesome product

BRAVO!! All I can say is that I am blown away and it makes me want to go back to the scrapbook pages from 16 years ago and pull the pics off those pages and start over. Maybe I will use the photos that were weeded out back then to create albums. I just don’t know that I can pass up the baby edition. Truly wonderful.

  18. Jacqueline R says:

  19. Tania says:

    Hi Becky

Each day this week so far has been almost torture …. with the waiting, knowing we are so so so close to the exciting news. These are simply gorgeous…..
A couple of quick questions …. arel other countries going to have cards “unique” to their country? For example – I live in Australia and we do not have Mom – we have Mum ….. Seems such a small thing but significant for some of us Mums :)
and secondly …. will there be matching albums?

Thank you for all your hard work. It is greatly appreciated.

  20. Theresa says:

These are beautiful!!! All three kits are just perfection!!!

  21. Joanne B says:

Oooh I love it such an awesome Idea! I’m such a PL junkie and convert now! Thanks Becky for a great idea and great products! Love them!

  23. i have been waiting all week for this! I.AM.ECSTATIC! I have three boys and only one has his first year complete. The other two have random layouts completed of their first year. THIS is going to make it so easy to complete their baby albums! THIS is definitely a solution for busy (and not so busy) people! I can’t wait to see the CHILDHOOD EDITIONS!!! I’m holding my breath in anticipation… thank you.

  24. Heike says:

    Many thanks

  26. Jenny says:

I can’t wait for this to be available! I’m currently documenting my 16 month old daughter’s year of 2011 using Clementine. I had just started her “baby” book with the Amber edition but longed for something a little more pink and girly for that album. I am so excited for this to be available! I can’t wait to see the matching binders!!!! Yay Becky!!!!

  27. Lori says:

Gorgeous! Beautiful! CAN’T WAIT!!! I am due with my third child on 10/11/12 and for the first time not stressed about how I will document his/her little baby life! All 3 editions are perfect and will be wonderfully solution-based for containing all the memories and memorabilia that surround my little one!

Hopefully they’ll show up at Amazon soon!
    Thanks, Becky and team!!!

  28. Kirsten L Merrild says:

So lovely I love the idea about different themes history about the family to start with… Would never have thought about that myself – but I truly really love that idea :)

  29. EmmaJ says:

    So beautiful and perfect!

  30. Cindy M. says:

These are so awesome! I’ll need 2 girls and 1 boy kit… and maybe a duplicate set of all 3 so I can make albums for my kids and one for me!

  31. Chrystal says:

Wow these are gorgeous! I am currently using you “original” sweet baby kit but this makes me want another baby. Lol

  32. Mendi M says:

LOVE! I can’t wait to order!

  33. Irene says:

Giddy, absolutely GIDDY! The thought that my precious 6 year old will FINALLY have a baby book makes me joyous. I want to preorder NOW. Totally AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My only frustration is waiting for Amazon to have them in stock. Thank you, thank you for doing this!!!!!!

  34. Chrystal says:

I was so excited I forgot to ask – are they going to be available digitally?

  35. Kristin A. says:

Oh my goodness, Becky. We have been anticipating the arrival of these products for what seems like such a long time and it shows that these has been a labor of love for you and Lili. The thought and care you put into these editions is absolutely wonderful. From one mama to another, thank you. Crew’s album is coming along so fantastically. Have you showed him the work in progress? My middle daughter who is 3 3/4 just delights in looking at our family albums and her first year album, which is probably 3/4 done. I bet your kids will be so thrilled to see this album!

Can you pretty please (either in a short video or just pictures) show more of the basics in the baby editions. I remember a video of you fanning through the 12×12 Clementine and Cobalt patterned papers or even the with the new Seafoam and Olive editions how you have shoots of all the card spread out on a table. Can you do something like that with all three baby editions? I am having a hard time getting a sense of the color and patterns as displayed here in this post with all the white everywhere. Please and thank you!

  36. So excited about these! Hope you are ordering a boatload… sign me up for 3!!

  37. thearthurz says:

    These are fantastic!

  38. Tara says:

These are absolutely amazing!!! Cannot wait for the digital versions to be up at Jessica Sprague!!!!

  39. Love it! Now,as usual, after watching your video,I am feeling inspired!!! Also, love that Persnickety prints pics with rounded corners!!!

  40. Nicol says:

    These are gorgeous!

  41. Stacy says:

So excited about this product!! You thought of everything! My babies are in school now and don’t have their scrapbooks together…but that’s about to change. Thanks Becky!! I heart Project Life!!

  42. Kristen says:

    AAA. MAZ. ING!!! Love it!

  43. Beth says:

I am blown away by these editions!! I wasn’t planning on redoing my daughters’ first years, but it looks like the bulk of the cards can be used any time. I’m going to order at least a girl edition and thinking about a boy as well just because I love the colors! Incredibly excited about the childhood edition coming tomorrow!

  44. Libby says:

I cannot wait to start on my kids’ albums!! Wish it was NOW not November. :-) Also wish I would have taken a few of the photos you have, darn it. Oh well, no going back in time 7 years now is there? Really love these kits, thank you for creating them!

  45. Angela says:

Ok…I told myself I wasn’t going to go back and mess with baby albums…my kids are 5&10…but now that I see them..I am going to…cannot wait for the childhood album…I need to start saving now!

  46. Elizabeth D says:

Thank you for coming out with this awesome baby project life design. Love what you have done and I can’t wait to order up a few of each for future kids. Pleas do put in a large order because these are going to fly out of Amazon before you know it. By the way watchin the video of crews album gave me lots of inspiration to finish my daughters album who is 2 now. I might leave some space so when the baby kit comes available I can add in super cute journaling prompts. Thanks again and I can’t wait to order the boy and girl kit.

  47. Heather says:

WOW! The minute the digital versions are available…I will be buying all 3. Simply fantastic and the video was so helpful to highlight the many ways to use the cards in a cohesive manner to tell the story. AWESOME!

  48. Marci M. says:

    So very excited….I’ll take 2.

  49. Fiona says:

These kits are just so beautiful! What a great job, and such a low stress way to get that first year recorded. I still haven’t done any of my 3 kids yet. That footprint card makes me wish I’d had the kit when they were first born! Such an excellent baby gift too. Well done!

  50. Katie D. says:

AMAZING!! I cannot wait to get my hands on these. I have embarrassingly little scrapped of my girls as babies – in fact, until I discovered PL, I had little scrapped of them at all! I am just loving all of the new products. I’m scared for tomorrow’s reveal. I already have to up my PL budget for next year SIGNIFICANTLY to accomodate the new Olive kit and 2 baby girl kits. I know I am going to want the childhood kit as well! Eek!

**Becky mentioned that Persnickety Prints does rounded corners, which is like a dream come true, but I didn’t see anything mentioning it on the PP site. Does anyone have info on this?

  51. Lauren says:

My hubby and I are hoping to get pregnant with our first baby in the next year and I just know this will be the first thing I buy once I see that positive sign! I can’t think of anything better to document welcoming our first baby into the world!

  52. Andi says:

I’m super excited, I sorta kinda did this with my son’s baby book, there are a mix of different page protectors (yours of course) that I did but I didn’t get to add all the stuff that i wanted. I did PL for my son’s first year but that book stays here, it will be nice to get some of the PL pictures into his baby book. Thanks for doing this. I’m also SUUUPPPPPER excited for the Seafoam edition for next year, I can’t wait to get my hands on that for next year.

Just out of curiosity, did you happen to incorporate some holiday stuff in the baby editions i.e. first Christmas, first Halloween, etc. Just wondering…maybe next time :-)

Thanks again for all you do and keeping us updated, your products are awesome and I feel so accomplished with my scrapbooking because of you.

p.s. – my son was born New Year’s day in England, he was the first baby born in our hospital in Oxford. Can’t wait to tell that story in his book. :-)

  53. This turned out amazing, Becky and Lili!

  54. Kendra says:

Love this concept especially the prompt cards! Makes me wish I hadn’t done my kids’ first year yet :) I hope this video will be in the video section of your blog. I got my sister into Project Life more by showing her the video than the actual product itself. When people see how easy this process is they are all for it! So…..maybe if and when I give the album and kit as a baby gift….I’ll include a link to this video as well.

    Can’t wait for tomorrow’s reveal!

  55. Karina says:

I knew it !!! I knew this was gonna be beautiful !!! Maybe I don’t have that many pics ( like grandparents pictures ) but because of the versatility of PL definitely this IS the best way to document my two girls’ first year of life. Thanks Becky and all the people behind this. I can’t say more than that .

  56. Heather S. in VT. says:

SOOOOO very excited for this!!!! LOVE IT! The baby editions are AMAZING! Thank you Becky and everyone behind the scenes! I am finally going to get baby books done for both my kids!!! THANK YOU!! LOVE IT!!! YEAH!!!

  57. Carrie Alexander says:

    I. Die. Watching your video, I realized that I want to do this for both of my kids, even though my older son HAS those layouts in his book already, LOL! I am excited to capture Delilah’s 1st year in must as much detail as I did my son (when I had more time to scrap). I know you hear this A LOT, but I just love how EASY this makes remembering! I will probably still do some “traditional” layouts (I think sometimes designing a page lets me convey my emotions better than with a grid), but I love that this is a way for me to quickly capture the memories so I have time to browse through later and do the more in depth layouts. Just like with my daily Project Life, I see these products as my “notes” that lead to my deeper layouts. Thank you again for making a product that is what you make it to be! YAY BABY EDITION!!!! My baby is 7 months old, so perfect timing…my son starts Kinder this year, so perfect timing on the school kit too…Did you time this just for me or what?!?!? :-)

  58. Cindy Daversa says:

So beautiful! I have made just one scrap book for my daughter when she turned 21. That was 6 years ago. I have put it off because I felt daunted by the thought of making 2 more, for my sons. Now I can make them for my sons, as well as for myself and my hubby! I just love PL! Thanks Becky and lili for making this gorgeous line!

  59. Jill says:

Becky (and Lili) – these are AMAZING! I will be sharing these kits with all of my mom friends!!! Now the challenge will be to keep myself from redoing my son’s baby album! I actually used the Original/Cherry Edition when I made his album 2 years ago so it really is in pretty good shape. Lots of great pictures and journaling. But oh how I would have loved to have those prompt cards at the time. Its one thing that I felt was missing when I was creating the album. I tried to include that stuff but was not a thorough as I would have liked. I’m thinking that the digital versions of the cards would be great to just use select prompt cards to add to my son’s current album. I’m super excited to give his album a small makeover and spread this awesome solution to baby albums to everyone I know. :)

  60. Aggie says:

How can November not come any faster?!

  61. Amy says:

While all of the new products (2013 collections and baby) are nice, they are all very ‘pretty.’ I miss the bold looks of Cobalt and Turquoise. Just my two cents!

  62. Dawn says:

My husband and I are hoping to have our first baby in 2013 so this couldn’t have come at a better time! Is it bad that I’m impatient and want to order both versions as soon as they come out so that I have it, ready to go? lol beautiful job, as always!

  63. Joanna says:

Oh Becky, these are absolutely stunning. I had 3 kids in 3 years, and I’m so behind on their albums. The designs are gorgeous and I love how versatile everything is. Remembering everything I want to write is often the hardest part!

Thank you for working so hard and creating such an amazing product. By the way, if you need to add someone on your creative team for baby albums, I’m always available! *hint, hint*

  64. Chris says:

well I have 4 months to get a box and start to gather all of the pics and memorabilia for each of my kids, so when I order I am ready to rock. Beautiful kits!

  65. kris says:

Very nice kits….would also like to see a bold version in 2014. hope you have ordered enough now that you have history on qtys ordered.

  66. Brooke says:

EEEWWWKKK!! So excited! Can’t wait to order!

  67. Leslie M. says:

Becky, thank you!! We had twins in 2006 and lost all of the pictures from their first few months of life. I was heartbroken and thought that those months were lost and there was nothing I could do to replace those pictures. I just realized that isn’t true! I can get a few pictures from grandparents and fill out those beautiful cards with all of our thoughts and memories from that amazing year.

I am in tears realizing that I can make this happen! I am thrilled! Thank you for all of your time and efforts! We love you (and so will my twins!)!

  68. Erin says:

Uh Uh!!! These are so CUTE! I could hardly read through the post fast enough to get to the kits. These are going to be great baby gifts and I don’t know how I am going to wait until fall to get my hands on them for my own baby girl.

  69. MaryRuth says:

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merry Christmas to me!

  70. LauraP says:

Perfect. That’s all I have to say!

Well, maybe I have more…My mom was not very good at doing the whole baby book-thing when my sister and I were little. We know some of what we were like growing up, but, unfortunately, my mom passed away about 7 years ago, before she really got to tell us a lot. And, now that I have kids (and my sister is due with her first in March) I am finding that I knew more about the little stuff from when I was little. I am striving to do better with my kids, and this kit will be perfect for that!

And, guess what my sister will be getting for her baby shower gift!! :)

  71. Kristin BT says:

The kits look great! Quick question, do the “Boy” and “Girl” kits have specific pronouns (“him” “her” etc) or can the “Boy” kit be used for a baby girl?

  72. Debbie says:

LOVE IT!!! Can’t wait to purchase. Love the colors for each. And the graphics…. Well done!

  73. Megan says:

Love these – The video helped a lot to see how it all comes together. I will definitely be ordering 2 for each of my boys in November! Thanks!

  74. Ang says:

Fantastic job!! Congrats to everyone involved for creating such a wonderful product!

My DD is 13 now. I have photo albums done for her, most of a baby book filled in AND a separate keepsake box filled with stuff from those first days. The albums are tucked away in one closet, the baby book is somewhere else & I’m not exactly sure where the keepsake box is right now. I’m just realzing that I don’t know if my daughter has even seen the stuff in that box! How sad is that?

Watching your video has me seriously thinking of re-doing her first year so that I can combine the three things & put it where it can ALL be looked at and enjoyed. Until today I rarely even thought about the baby book or the keepsake box. I’m sitting here typing & imagining what I could easily create for her with the help of the baby girl core kit. I’m also thinking about how tricky 13 can be and that working on this project could be fun to do together. And even if she doesn’t want to do it with me I know she would love to go through all the stuff & hear the stories. Dedicating the time to do this will be a great way to show her how much I love her. Of course I tell her I love her, but sometimes actions speak louder than words. I’m actually tearing up (in a good way) just thinking about it! :)

  75. Dianna says:

    Beautiful!!!

  76. Christine says:

    Wow Becky!
This baby edition is a home run.
I love the Clementine design and using it currently for my PL.
So naturally I love the graphics in this design.
Smart idea to leave out the cutesy baby graphics. I couldn’t agree more.
Can’t wait to see how the school edition will come together.
    Congrats!!

  77. laura says:

Great job girls! Love this kit! The designs & prompts are beautiful! Can’t wait to see the childhood kit!

  78. Kristy says:

This product totally makes me think that I should have another baby! My youngest is three and I’m pretty sure that I didn’t write down even half of the facts that I would have liked, but I still have his pictures waiting to be documented. Sign me up for the boy version!

  79. Thelma says:

I’m preggy with my second child and can’t wait to get my hands on that baby girl edition!!! For my first child I made your digital shutterfly CK Becky Higgins baby photo book and get so many complements on it. I absolutely LOVE everything you come up with!
Thank you for making it eaiser for us to perserve our most precious memories of our life/loved ones…we love you Becky Higgins!!! ;0)

  80. Anna Vollmer says:

    I am so EXCITED!
My husband and I just found out 2 weeks ago that we are expecting our first, the timing of this coming out could not be more perfect! I love it! And we should be finding out the sex of the baby in late October/early November…..just in time to buy it when it comes out! Thank you so much! I can’t wait!

  81. shannon j. says:

Just out of curiosity, will any of these new kits be available as digital Shutterfly books?

  82. miranda says:

It is 2am in Australia.. and when my son woke up I was excited because I knew this post would be up! Yay I am beyond excited!! :) you are a genius Becky. Thankyou to you and your team for all your hard work. And Thankyou for providing us busy mums with such an easy and gorgeous system to document our kids lives & for helping us be free of the mother guilt :) Xx

  83. Danielle P says:

I am in love with the girl core kit. Oh my goodness!~

  84. KathleenB says:

I CANNOT wait for November! My son is 27 years old and though I have done a lot of 12×12 scrapbook pages for him, I love this approach! I have been sorting and going through his memento boxes in anticipation of Baby Project Life. I cannot wait to order this and get going on doing his first year of life!

  85. Keri says:

I’m beyond thrilled to see how incredible the new kits are. I’ve been holding off doing my son’s album (he’s almost 4 also) & am so excited to get started. Thank you for creating such awesome products that simplify our lives and let us document our most precious memories. Will these come with coordinating binders as well?

  86. Leslie says:

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Becky, you have outdone yourself. These are gorgeous. Wanted to tell you that I am going to a 3 day scrapbook retreat this weekend and I am taking my new Cherry Edition Project Life with me to use for the first time. I am so excited to get caught up on my scrapbooking and have my albums look amazing and NO STRESS about being so behind. Thank you for developing these products, you have set me free!

  87. Val Irwin says:

I’m assuming there will be a digital version as well? Love this product, wish I knew someone who was pregnant right now so I could gift it to them. I think it would be the most amazing present that you could give a new Mom….Now I to decide whether I will do a digital or paper version for my two boys!!

  88. Jan says:

AWESOME!!! Absolutely wonderful. You thought of everything. Almost makes me want to have another, just so I can use the kit. I’ll have to make friends with pregnant people so I can buy the albums and put them together for them ;-) Now I’m even more excited about the upcoming school kits!!

  89. Katy says:

SO in love with this!!! My daughter is turning 1 on October 28 and I plan on going back and doing a a separate baby edition Project LIFE book for her. I also already have a Picture a Day book that I started on January 1, 2012 that I have been able to keep up with so far – I just need to get the pictures printed! Most of the 2012 Project LIFE book is pictures of her, but I will really enjoy going back to the months of November and December of 2011 to get those ‘scrapped” as well. Thank you Becky and your team for designing such wonderful and easy to use products!!!!

YEAH! So EXCITED!!! I think I might even get the baby girl version AND the neutral version to mix and match in her book. WOOT! :-)

:) Love the products! Truly can’t wait to have these in my hands! I started a “baby book” but I get so frazzled and can’t think of what to write. Love the prompt cards! & the filler cards! & THE DESIGN!!! Thank you for not including baby bottles!

  91. Amy Mize says:

I used your original baby kit for my first son, and I will definitely be getting one of the new kits to make an album for my new 5 week old son. Thank you!

  92. Angela says:

Becky and Lili—The hundreds if not thousands of hours you both put into this are evident. I began working my my now 16 month old’s baby album very early on, but then found out that Becky was working on a baby kit. I continued to take lots of photos and document lots of things on my blog and now I can hardly wait to put it all together. I think I’ll have to purchase both the neutral and boy kit and mix and match and then use the rest of the applicable journaling cards in my Project Life album next year. I LOVE everything about this…the style and design are spot on!!! Thank you so much for not making it full of bunnies and chicks!!!

  93. Steph H says:

So very excited to finally see these. Thanks for taking care of my go to baby shower gift from here on out. I will be ordering two boys sets for myself to record the 1st year memories of my two little guys (1 just had his 3rd birthday, and the new little guy just arrived in May). I love the color scheme that you chose for the boy kit and actually think it could also work for a gender neutral kit. A little bummed that the box says “for him” though, since that will force me to order the true gender neutral kit for friends who don’t know what sex they’re having.

  94. Katie says:

LOVE! I want to buy a kit for my husband’s baby pictures (in a box) and put it together and ask his mom to help with the journaling. She has been hinting at wanting help with scrabooking his pictures so this is perfect!

Also want to do the same for my baby pictures (also in a box) and ask my mom to help me journal.

Last of all thanks for making the kit versatile and considering families who adopt! My husband and I are starting the adoption journey!

  95. Sara says:

I love how closely this mirror’s the baby kit you made with Creating Keepsakes. I started my daughter’s baby book with that kit and then it sort of morphed into a project life book after the first 10 layouts were done. I very much prefer PL, especially since I won’t have baby-free time before this one arrives to do big, traditional layouts. I’m so excited that you took your very well-thought out ideas from before and made them work with Project Life. And all three kits are beautiful! I can’t wait to get my hands on them, both for me & my new baby & for gifts! Thank you!!!

  96. Marissa P says:

I love that it’s not so “babyish.” I will most definitely be buying some kits so I can catch up on my kids’ baby books (er..I mean start on them.) Also, I love the heritage section! I have been mulling over the idea of doing a family history type scrapbook with photos and stories of ancestors. This will give me a great place to start while I collect older photos and such from relatives. Thanks! Any chance there might a “heritage” edition in the future? ;)

  97. Yvonne Gronau says:

I really appreciate all the work and organization you put into these kits Becky. They are above and beyond what I expected and I love that they are not your typical “baby” designs.
Both of our hard drives that contain both our kids baby photos, have semi-crashed and we are hoping and praying that someone can recover them for us. Going through an experience like this makes me realize, even more, the importance of taking photos and then actually doing something with them. When our photos get recovered(I’m choosing optimism) I will definitely be ordering one “For Him” kit and one “For Her” kit. Thank you for producing such an incredible product.
    Yvonne

  98. Wendy says:

A MAZ ING!!!!!! I love all 3!!! And the new core box design, who would think of that? YOU, because you ROCK!! Thank you Becky and all the designers of all of the new kits you have revealed this week. They are ALL beautiful!! You all of done an amzing job! It will be tough choosing which ones to get:)

  99. Tammy says:

I absolutely love the new baby kits and the video highlighting it all. I can’t wait to do one for my 7 year old son and just incorporate the very few tradiitonal pages I did complete. Also I’m thinking of doing one for my 10 year old daughter and incorporate her traditional layouts. It just seems like you thought of everything! The possibilities are endless!

  100. Kelly Fergie says:

    Wow!
Its currently 4:30 here in Melbourne Australia and I don’t dare watch the video incase I wake up the baby despite her waking me up!!!

They r all so gorgeous!! I Have a goal to get my big girls (5 and almost3) photos into albums before their grandparents arrive in December from the uk. I’ve been using the sweet baby lot for both of those plus lots of grid cards and the celementine edition so I cant wait to get my hands on this to get baby girl #3 into her own album too!

I can’t pick a fave out of any of the designs you have created because I really do love them all. They all have a place in our family!

Keep up the amazing work and please thank all your amazing designers and the team for their hard work they really have made life easy for so many of us xx

  101. Love these and so so happy for Lili! I was on her digital creative team. She did such a fantastic job with these! :)

  102. Cheryl P says:

I love this product and I love that it follows the format of your earlier baby kit. Now, I can take what I DID complete for my son’s album with the earlier kit and put it in the front of the baby book and use the new kit to finish up with the month to month pictures, which is where I stopped. And I stopped because, even though it was a kit, it was still time consuming to think about where to put pictures and glue them in and add embelishments! This makes life so much easier and I can’t wait to get the baby albums for my kid’s finished!

  103. Pam K says:

I just love these kits — I have 3 children; my baby is now 18!

I wish I had these kits when they were babies; my memories are fading … However, these kits will help me organize all those pictures that I’ve kept in boxes just waiting to be “scrapbooked”. Thanks for including so many prompts on the journaling cards. We now have our first grandchild & I’m sure I can use the kit to document her first year with us.
    Thank you, Becky!

  104. I love the baby kits for Project Life. Makes me wish I had a little one just so I could use it. But I am thinking it would be a great gift to make for a new grandchild, or niece or nephew. Love it!

  105. Sandy says:

I am not having another baby just so I can use these gorgeous products!!!

    • julie says:

      im with you
i was thinking ooooh i love them but i dont think ill go back and do ds who is 5 and dd who is 2 but they are AWESOME… but no dont have another baby for a PL kit!!!

  106. Irene says:

Are there plans to make the baby edidtions digital???

    • Brandi@Beckyhiggins LLC says:

Yes – all of Becky’s new kits will be avaialble digitally around the same time the physical kits make their debut. Late November.

  107. Speechless! ♥ it all!

  108. Lindsay says:

I love all of them! I have the original baby kit (KOTM) & I gotta admit that I never started working on my daughter’s album (she’s turning 3 in January). this is just perfect! Makes me wanna have another baby! Thanks Becky!

  109. Nicole says:

I just want to say that all of these kits are absolutely incredible and I love all of the details that you have decided to include. I did have one suggestion though, have you thought of including two of the mom or two of the dad cards so the kit would work for gay and lesbian families also? That would be really nice to have.

  110. Minnie says:

For every minute hour days weeks and months you have worked on creating these kits I say a great big thank you Becky. I love love love them!!!!!

  111. kYLIE d says:

Just BEAUTIFUL! AND yes CLASSYand YES SHE NAILED IT!!!!

  112. Emily says:

Becky, these baby kits are, without a doubt, the COOLEST products you’ve ever put together. I used project life for my baby’s first year (May 2011-May 2012) and am happy to have it completed but a bit sad that I didn’t have THIS option a year ago ;) Baby #2 will get the spoils for sure – I LOVE the prompts. Just so cool. You thought of everything.

  113. Amanda says:

I love these baby kits! I don’t have any kids yet but plan on trying within the year and love that these will be available!!! I know you mentioned before that you might do a wedding edition of PL. Do you have any idea of when that might happen? I’ve been married for a couple of years and still haven’t finished a wedding album.

  114. libbywilko says:

<3 all three editions ! Thank you Lili and Becky.

  115. Melinda Higgins says:

Becky!! Ok, WOW! This is amazing! Congrats to you and David (and Lili and all)– so proud of you guys!! And excited to see child hood products tomorrow, I know what to tell Dustin I want for Christmas this year, hands down! :D . the prompts are perfect, designs perfect, just perfect!! I hope you can feel so good about the massive time and effort you put into all this– it’s obviously do worth it, benefitting and blessing soo many, incl. me, once I get my memory keeping act together. ;)

Love you, soo proud of you!!

PS: how funny to see Dustin & I in the video, feel privileged to be included in Crew’s album. Missouri is a happy place for us, but we find ourselves missing our Higgins family quite a bit, esp sharing those special occasions… Samuel’s blessing is in a couple weeks and the circle will be so small…

  116. Marianne says:

    Amazing, amazing, amazing!!

Can’t wait to start working on my girls’ baby albums (now aged 3 & 6)! I’m so very excited and so thankful that you have spent so many hours designing this product!

    Thanks Becky!!! :)

  117. Denise says:

Question: I know it is called “boy” album and “girl” album… But do any of the journalist cards/prompts specifically refer to the gender? Example: if I had a friend who had a girl but hates pink and loves blue… Could I gift the “boy” kit? (I know the gender neutral option is available).

    • Brandi@Beckyhiggins LLC says:

Excellent question Denise. Yes, you absoluetely could git the boy kit to someone having a girl. None of the cards are gender specific – boy/girl being in the wording.

  118. Christina Youngberg says:

You are so awesome! I’m very excited! Thank you!

  119. Kim says:

These kits are fantastic. You’ve found some AWESOME designers also who’ve created works of art. That’s how I feel anyway.

  120. Leslie says:

I am just beyond excited! These kits look great and I can’t wait to get started with one for my now three year old. I hope you are getting lots and lots of these in stock because I have a feeling these will be your best seller yet!

  121. Crystal Rodner says:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these baby editions of Project Life!!! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and thought you put into this, you nailed it! It’s exactly what busy mom’s need who want to record the special little things of their children’s lives for them. Even though I’ve been staying pretty up to date since my kids have been born (3YO and 18months) with a Project Life/365 style album I still plan on ordering these (I’ve got a boy and a girl) to make special albums just for them. I really love how you included things to record heritage/family at the beginning of the album. What an amazing product, I just can’t wait to order them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  122. Laurie says:

I have a question. Are the cards in the sets gender specific? I prefer the “Him” edition but have a girl. Thanks.

  123. Jennie says:

These are SO wonderful! I am so thankful to you for creating these Becky! :) Scrapbooking is now possible again for us busy moms! SO excited to use these! Thank you!!!

  124. Jen says:

Awesome job, again! Almost wants me to have a kid, but not quite! LOL! But it’s really nice, and I can’t wait for the next baby shower so I could get this as a gift!

  125. Carmel says:

These really are lovely – Congratulations to everyone involved in their design and production. Just wondering if by chance the reverse of all the journalling cards realting to things about MOM happens to have the alternate spelling of MUM????

    • Brandi@Beckyhiggins LLC says:

No, the reverse side does not say “mum.” Great suggestion though. I will be happy to add this to Becky’s list of products suggestions, for her consideration. Thanks!

      • Maria says:

These kits are just so beautiful. Makes me a little bit sad that my kids are 14 and 16 years old and not tiny anymore. Many of the prompts on some of the cards are for details now long forgotten unfortunately, but never-the-less, a kit will still be coming to my place so I can make them each a very long overdue baby book. And a big, big yes please to the word “MUM” on the reverse side of the cards. Over here in New Zealand we are called mum, not mom :-)

      • Kelly says:

This would be a really great option for future releases – it’s a simple thing, but something that would put me off buying an otherwise lovely design. I got the KOTM school kit all those years ago, and it had “Grade” whatever we=hen we use “Year” here. That, I decided, could be worked with…. but Mom instead of “Mum” – that is I couldn’t work around. Would really appreciate the either/or being available.

I think this is my favourite design revealed so far.

      • Karen (NZ) says:

Yes, another from “downunder” for whom Mom does not work. PLEASE give us alternate spelling

    • Janine Rutherford says:

Hi Becky – YES I LOVE these designs!! Thank you so much for including them in your product list :-)
As another one from ‘Downunder’, I too would really appreciate an alternative spelling for MOM to MUM, and also, FAVOURITE instead of FAVORITE.
      Thanks for listening.
      Janine – New Zealandnr23

  126. Laura says:

If only it would be ready sooner! I was so hoping to give this to my sister-in-law at her baby shower. Can’t wait!

  127. Debbie says:

WOW! Thank you for providing this. My children are grown but I will be having my first grandchild soon. What a great way to document so many details of a childs life. The prompting of the cards with the questions and lists will be so helpful to mothers in making a very wonderful book. Beautiful!

  128. Christine says:

Love the baby boy kit! Thank you for sharing Crew’s baby book. Did you only use the baby boy kit for the book? I am seriously considering ordering two baby boy kits – one for my 14 year old DD and one for my 12 year old DS.

  129. Tina McNamara says:

Becky, this is GREAT. You thought of everything. Right now I am trying to do my wedding album from 30yrs. ago. Next will be my 2 baby albums for my 23 & 21 yr olds. Better late than never, right?!? Because it’s been a while since I actually had babies these prompting cards will come in very handy. Well worth the wait.

  130. Cara says:

Love all three but agree with Carmel’s comment about ‘mom’. All of us outside of the US see that as a distictly american word and we usually avoid using products with that word in as we don’t relate to it. I’m not sure how you can solve that problem for the rest of the world!

  131. Amber says:

I LOVE THESE KITS! I want to get multiple ones and mix and match. Is there anything that makes the pink for girls and blue for boys besides the color? I didn’t see any cards that say, “his first Christmas” or “her first steps” etc. But want to check. Also do grid cards come with these core kits? I’m thinking any extra cards I have can go in the regular project life, they look really versatile to me! Also as some one with a newborn I don’t want to wait! :) Wish I had that footprint card right now!

    • Brandi@Beckyhiggins LLC says:

Great questions Amber. The actual card wording is not gender specific. Also, the kit does not include Becky’s white grid journaling cards.

  132. Sam F says:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the neutral Baby Edition!!! The other two are really great too, I just love the colors in the neutral kit and so happy that they don’t include super cutesy images like baby bottles and diaper pins, etc.

  133. Michelle S says:

Just wondering if there will be specific albums for these?

  134. Stephanie says:

I love the kits! It will be hard deciding which one (or ones!) to get. I am so thankful for all of the effort and time that went into these. I knew it was going to be worth the wait and it is!

I do have one question, would it be possible in the next couple of weeks when the reveals slow down a bit to show a picture of the three kits side by side? I like elements of all three and am contemplating getting them all but I can’t tell if the green and the orange in the boy edition will coordinate with the green and the orange in the girl edition. Also, the neutral seems to be more gray and the others more warm/brown, but wanted to see if they would mix well together too. It would just help to have a photo of the real product on a table together – if it is not too much trouble. I know you are all very busy. Thanks!

  135. Sara N says:

Are there any cards in the boy/girl kit that specifically say boy/girl anywhere? I think I like the boy colors better, even if this baby turns out to be a girl. If the only place it says for “him” is on the box, I think I could live with that! (Though, I’m sure I could just bypass the boy specific cards if there aren’t many.)

Oh, and thanks for omitting the chicks & bunnies & baby bottles, etc!

  136. Nicky from Canada says:

    These are lovely – congrats

  137. Paula Oamen says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! the prompts are exactly what I need, my daughter is 2 and i am way behind! but have journaling on computer i did her first year and TONS of photos..I can see it coming all together! Can it get any more amazing!! it is like you read our minds! a busy mom too..so excited for your school kit reveal as I have a 7 yr old and only have preschool years done! So happy for your success and this amazing product

  138. Donna B. says:

I have been waiting SO LONG for these baby editions! My daughter is 5 and I WILL go back and do a baby’s first year album using these products! Now that she is starting school, I am also on the edge of my seat waiting for the school editions also! LOVE all the new products and can’t wait to get my hands on them!

  139. Super excited about the baby kits! But why Orange and Pink, can’t we possibly go for a Purple and Pink one day? That would be amazing! I cannot wait to see the childhood!!

  140. Annette says:

I think I ditto what others are saying. I really wish I had this when my daughter was born. I had tried to do a simple version or so I thought but my daughter never napped for more than 30 – 45 minutes at a time when I was home on maternity leave. I was able to write in my journal I made for her, but the big scrapbook was just too much. Then I went back to work and two and a half years later the status has not changed. I love how you designed these with prompts, the designs are fresh yet timeless, I am just so happy to see these and I cannot wait to get working on her first year album again!! Thank you for doing the video. It was awesome and I’m stoked Persnickety rounds the corners too!

  141. Sharon Holesh says:

What do the binders look like to match these baby kits?

  142. Kaitlin says:

Becky, I used your earlier Baby Kit for my first kiddo and though time consuming, I loved it and was overwhelmed at the thought of doing it again (of course with my first it was done before she was even born and now little sister does not have anything yet because I was waiting for this kit!) But I really like that the prompts are very similar, so both albums will cover the same thing, but in different ways. Also I love that the kits, even though say boy/girl – I am kinda eyeing the boy kit for my little girl, very great colors, designs, etc. Yet again – these kits always amaze me. Now it is hard when multiple kits come out though because I want them all – it is so hard to choose! Do you think you will come out with multiple kits every year and how long do you plan on keeping the older kits available? Thank you so much for your passion, time, and talent! What a blessing to so many!

  143. Marie-Pierre says:

My baby just turned 2. I took notes every month on note sheets I printed myself. I didn’t do her baby book yet. Did a page here and there, but nothing about her monthly successes….I guess I was waiting for this. :) Thanks for making it happen! :)

  144. Loved ♥ Your Blog!! Thanks for Sharing…

  145. Anne says:

  148. Beth P says:

Love all these baby kits – absolutely awesome designing !! Also would love the word Mum as an alternative for us that use Mum or Mummy :) . Love the new childhood kits too and the new release core kits for 2013 – I have a feeling I will be using the boy baby kit mixed in with the Seafoam and Clementine kits and the Mayfield childhood kit. Think they all will coordinate really well together…love them all though :) . Thanks Becky and your amazing design team (and family)…you have produced some stunning products that will make many people get their precious memories documented. Thank you xxx

  149. Beth P says:

Oh and other point I forgot – thank you so much for avoiding the diaper pins and bottles on the designs – that’s so 1970′s !!! And frankly tacky…so thank you for the really cool funky designs on the papers :)

  150. Pheeebzzz says:

If I looked carefully no one has yet asked the question : will these new products be available for digiscrappers ? Hope they will, they’re just gorgeous :) .

i’m excited for these baby kits! i have 2 1/2 year old twin boys and haven’t even started a baby book (i do have all their stuff tucked neatly away in a box though). i’m a little bummed with the colors, not my fav… can’t please everyone though. i’ll still probably buy them, i need to get their books done.

Everything is so amazing. I have decided to go digital because it works with my lifestyle now. I’m totally ok with that because you have helped me be that way. I have the original baby kits but I am going with these. Everything you do is brilliant. You rock!!!!! Thank you for reminding me how awesome scrapbooking is again. No guilt!

  156. Alison says:

Thank you so much for considering those of us who are adoptive mums. It means so much…really. The kits are beautiful, congratulations. It is also so helpful to see your album and how it all fits together. Thank you for sharing. Alison, Aus.

  157. Shelly Lambert says:

Ok, I think I’m a little lost. What binder are we using for the baby editions? I love the concept but I want the kit to coordinate with a binder. Do these editions not have binders?
    Thanks!

    • Amanda says:

“Q: Will there be a coordinating binder for all your new designs?
A: We will have coordinating binders for the Seafoam + Olive Editions (the images weren’t ready in time for last week’s reveal. I’ll share pictures when we have those). However, we will not likely have “designer” binders for the Baby and Childhood editions. Instead we plan to offer classic, solid-colored We R Memory Keepers binders that coordinate beautifully.”

  158. J3SS1C4 says:

These are amazing! I can’t wait until me or someone I know has a baby now, so that I can play around with these! They really are super cute and versatile, and watching the video, it looks like you guys have covered so much with them!

  159. Kelli-Anne says:

    Hi,

Just wondering if the “him” baby edition can be used for a girl? Or do the cards refer specifically to a boy? Only asking cause I prefer the colours :-)

    Thanks

    • Amanda says:

Q: I want to order multiple Baby kits to mix and match. Is there anything that makes the pink for girls and blue for boys besides the color?
A: It’s really just a color change. Maybe the word “girl” or “boy” pops up like once on one of the cards in the respective editions, but these 3 baby editions are all the same graphic designs but different COLORS between edition. There’s also a pattern or two that changes between the editions, but that’s it. Example – we included a damask/feminine pattern in the “For Her” edition and a zig zag/chevron pattern in the “For Him”. They’re ALL yummy – and mixing + matching the editions could be a really fun idea!

Hi! I’m getting ready to order and I have rewatched the video several times because I just LOVE it! However, can you estimate how many of the design page packs we need to complete the album? I am sure it all depends on how many pictures we use, but roughly I don’t even know how many to order?
