It is an honor to introduce you to our other new graphic designer – the one and only Heather Bailey!
Some of you may be brand-new to Heather’s brand, but I have a feeling most of you have used – or at least seen – her charming designs somewhere. Perhaps you have some of her sewing patterns, or maybe you’ve picked up one of her newly-introduced-to-the-shelves-at-Target day planners or notebooks. Heather is no stranger to graphic design. She’s done everything from fabric to housewares. There is a reason so many of us are drawn to her vibrantly gorgeous designs – and we are beyond thrilled she agreed to join the Project Life family of designers. Introducing … the OLIVE EDITION of Project Life!
Heather had a chance to play with her own Project Life cards in her first-ever Project Life pages. What do you guys think? I’m thinking the Bailey family just may want to keep going with their Project Life album, because this is pretty amazing. : ) Oh, and by the way – Heather’s super talented photographer husband Isaac took the following photos. His coloring is much better than mine (above).

Brenda, I’m so glad to hear it. I haven’t scrapbooked in several years and have purchased the pages to start PL. I have signed up for Becky’s class too. Now, I just need the core kits and the binder and I’m ready to go. I can’t wait to see the binders for these new designs. I hope I can keep up and truly start making photo albums again. Oh now I can’t decide. But definitely hoping for the full-on kits in digital format on Jessica Sprague again. I’m also hoping there are plenty of horizonal journaling cards in the digital kits. This year I have done my digital book totally with the vertical pictures and horizontal journaling cards. Basically most everyone else’s book – turned sideways. I am loving it.

Decisions, decisions. It just keeps on getting harder to decide! So many kits to love. I am thinking that since I am doing the digital version next year to see how I like that vs. paper kits that I will mix designs within the album. I already have three kits but have a feeling I might be buying the rest. And then there’s still the baby and school days coming later this week….
It is apparent that you have a great eye for designers that will be a perfect fit!

OMG!!! I have committed to Project Life with the page protectors and the ideals, but have not bought a kit, yet. I have been waiting to get the Amber collection, but may need to wait for this one. I AM IN LOVE!!! This one is so more my style than the Amber (though still lovely!).

When I first looked at this kit I felt it was too feminine for my all boy family. But I’m working on two kits every year: one current and one backdated (I’ve been doing the almost daily photo’s for a while). Then I realized that this kit is so perfect for the time when my boys were toddlers, and life was soft and colourful, and we lived at the coast in a house with some walls that exact green. The patterns capture for me the emotion of that time. Thanks, so excited to start w/ that year!

Love this! I love how Heather is documenting an event instead the traditional Project Life week by week layout. One of the many things I love about Project Life, you make it work for you! You don’t always have to do it week by week.Great designs from Heather Bailey as always.

I love the Olive edition, simply love it! I have been thinking about beginning a project life album since I haven’t jumped on the PL train yet. When I saw Project Real Life class at Big Pictures I decided I would take the class and have been looking for an edition I like. Well let me tell you I’m wowed with Olive and can’t wait for the class and November for the Olive edition. Thanks Becky and your designers for your incredible ideas and products.

YUMMY!!!!! You had me at the teal/turquoise color…my favorite color right now! This year I’ve combined two kits…trying to figure out what to combine this kit with…Seafoam? Clementine? Decisions decisions!!!
They are both really great! I always end up with both editions so that I can mix and match with seasons/clothing, etc. I know. I know. Silly. I do wish that one of the kits had more of the earth tone colors, though. I’m always searching for the navy, burgundy, sage – type colors to match the majority of my pictures. I’ll have to just keep combining all of the kits along the way, maybe.

Becky, to be honest, I was not super excited about the Seafoam Edition yesterday. It’s fine, but I like some of the other ones you have already put out much better. But let me tell you, I love, love, love this Olive Edition. It is just so beautiful. But this is the nice thing about all of the different sets you have – for all the people who loved the Seafoam set yesterday, they have a wonderful option for themselves. And for those of us just in love with the Olive set, like myself, we have that now too. So, kudos to you for appealing to so many different people’s tastes! Keep up the great work! Looking foward to seeing the reveal of the baby sets later this week. Thanks for all of the wonderful memory keeping solutions you have put out over the years. You’ve always been one of my favorites!

Hmm. Both of the new designs for 2013 are pretty, but they really don’t speak to me. When I saw the seafoam yesterday, I figured the other edition would be a brighter, more contrast-y, more hip clor scheme. Nope. The 2 are seem to be almost the same color pallet. And both are more along the lines of shabby chic, which I dislike. Now I guess I can circle back and use on of the other editions from the past that is more to my tastes.
I have so many extra cards from the 3 past years of PL. I was going to just use what I have for next year. YOU have AGAIN provided an awesome design. OLIVE! I may vote for that name for my first grand daughter. What a beautiful design. I am sold! Thank you for your lovely product.

Quick question for readers of the blog: I got a turquoise edition when I was just starting out but I’m finding that I enjoy using the digital files than I thought I would. Is there some sort of website where I could offer my physical kit for sale? I would hate to just have it sitting around collecting dust when so many people want one. I don’t tend to hang out on a lot of crafty boards or whatever so I’m not sure for the best avenue to do this.
Others have mentioned in the past that they’ve found kits on eBay.
Not sure which country you’re in, but here in Australia we can buy/sell excess Project Life supplies on Facebook via the Project Life Australia Garage Sale group.
I’m in the US, but I’ll check to see if there’s a similar group. Thanks!

I LOVE this! I have actually been waiting/hoping for something like this! I am super feminine but I agree that men are also part of our Project Life so we have to keep them in mind. This caters to both sexes. I have 3 girls and love the florals for pictures of them, but if my husband and his boy activities are in the photos it’s awesome to have the geometric patters! I do my Project Life digitally, I hope Olive will be offered through Shutterfly?

I am so excited to see that Heather Bailey has designed a PL kit! I have never ordered a PL kit in the past due to financial/time constraints. But now, I’m making sure that I have this in my budget this year and will make time next year to do this project. I was considering getting one for my mom for Christmas last year but thought the designs would not really be to her liking. I am certain that she is going to love this! So now I’m looking forward to being able to work on PL with a loved one and capturing moments in time. Thanks Heather and Becky!
