It is with great delight that I announce to you that we have teamed up with American Crafts so that Project Life can now be available in stores nationwide, and all over the world. We have already had a lot of fun working together since entering into an agreement and I have to say - very exciting things are in the works. More Project Life, more possibilities, more visibility, and more availability.
American Crafts has been one of my very favorite scrapbooking companies since my earliest days of being a part of this industry (about 15 years ago), and there is so much awesomeness to come out of combining our strengths with theirs. As with any big announcement, I am sure there are questions. Please understand that with a little time, we will be equipped to share more information and more details. For now, these are the main points you should know:
CONSUMERS: Yes, our products are still currently on Amazon – and we will continue to keep Project Life available direct-to-consumer. Now you’ll also have the option of walking into your local craft or scrapbooking store and finding Project Life right there on the shelf so you can check it out in person. If you want your local store to carry our products, tell them to contact American Crafts.
RETAILERS: So many of you have been asking to sell Project Life the past few years and we were never equipped to handle a wholesale portion of the business in our infancy. This partnership with American Crafts now makes it possible, as they have the team, the resources, and the infrastructure to make it happen (hallelujah). If you are interested in carrying our products in your store, contact an American Crafts sales representative at 800-879-5185, sales@americancrafts.com, or fill out the form here.
Speaking of retailers, everyone outside of the U.S. who has ordered our products knows how much we love Craft House (out of New Zealand) and Scrapbooker’s Inner Circle (out of Canada) and Scraplicious (out of SE Asia), as they have made it possible for Project Life to be available worldwide from the beginning. I’m pleased to tell you that these existing distributors will continue to offer Project Life.
EVERYONE: I haven’t set foot on a trade show floor in years, and I’m pleased to announce that this partnership is putting me back in the CHA scene in January. If you are planning to attend that show in Anaheim, I would be honored if you stopped by the Becky Higgins/Project Life booth #2628. Yes, I am still overseeing the design and development of all Project Life products. In fact – thanks to this partnership, I’ll now be able to develop MORE (so, so, so many ideas that I want to see come into fruition). Project Life will continue on as the simple, solution-based system we all love.
TIMING: It is anticipated retail-ready product will begin shipping in April 2013. Click HERE to download the official news release PDF.

Oh, but that’s not all. Oh no. We have another big announcement tomorrow! And the fun won’t stop there either. Check in each day this week. So much good stuff. Please know that while we’re so excited about this week on the blog, we are very aware of what’s looming in the eastern U.S. Hurricane Sandy is undoubtedly going to affect so many of you reading this, and I want you to know I’m praying for your safety.

So exciting!! Congrats on your new partnership!!
I am so excited for you!! Well and for us! I love American Crafts and know that you wouldn’t trust Project Life to just anyone. I love too that it will be available both ways for those who may not have craft stores near them!! Thank you! Can’t wait to hear the rest of the news this week!
Congratulations!
Yipee! Becky, so, so, sooo happy for your continued successes! With so many scrapbook-related companies going out of business over the past several years, it’s so fantastic to see yours not only “making it” but thriving! I’m so excited over the increased options that you are offering us. All I can say is good for you (which is really good for us!) can’t wait to hear what else is in store. Off to do my happy dance this morning…
Sounds great. Sometimes as consumers you DO like to see it in real life, touch feel, to decide which one you want. I really HOPE this is not going to UP the prices???
That is fantastic, Becky!
Congratulations on the partnership and I am so excited to find Project Life products in stores soon
Awesome, awesome announcement.
Wow!! This is wonderful! The PL brand is a fabulous idea, and I am so happy for all of your success in the scrapbook area! I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us tomorrow!
SUPER Excited about your new partnership with AC!!! And Congratulations on this! Very excited to see what’s to come, AND that we will be able to run out and get products closer to home! I like Amazon too, but some times just want to have a look through things first:) Super, Super news & THANKS for all your hard work! (I should add that I had not tried PL until now, with PRL through Big Picture, but am VERY excited to start a 2013 Project Life album next year! In the meantime, getting caught up on PRL today, in fact!) Lovin’ it!
Oh! This is great! I hope the LSS I work at in Norway will stock your products
This is very exciting!!! Congrats on your new partnership!
Very cool news. So glad your business is growing. Good luck with this transition.
Congrats Becky!!!!!! Good things come to good people
Will the binders still be We R Memory Keepers?
I am wondering the same thing as soon as I read about the new partnership.
This is my question too! As much as i love American Crafts and i think that their cardstock and paper products are top notch, their albums and protecters are cheap and awful! I only use We R Memory Keepers and i have been so excited that they were making Becky’s albums. Please don’t sacrifice quality for availability! I have faith in you Becky!
I was wondering the same thing. I totally agree with you Christy on the AC products. I’m going to stick to my WRMK albums no matter what.
I agree! The AC divided page protectors are awful. I’d classify them as unusable, honestly. I gave away the AC ones I bought.
This is a total godsend to us here in Australia, we have had to get everything from New Zealand, I am an online store owner and I can only say YES, fantastic partnership, match made in heaven and the future of PL is bright and accessible to all, Thank you Becky, awesome news, very much welcomed.
I am so excited about this, I just squealed when I read it. I don’t squeal, but I just did!! haha I love Project Life! Great news, can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us this week!!
Wow, this is amazing. Can’t wait to buy it at my local store. Congrats and good luck!
Congrats and God Bless!!!
Totally awesome! Am totally thrilled for you and for us!!!
How EXCITING! All of your hard work is so evident with this great news. Working on/for Project Life and American Crafts in ANY sense would be my dream job. Congratulations!
Wonderful news Becky! xxx
How wonderful and cool! American Crafts has ALWAYS been my favorite! So happy for you and Project Life, Becky! Hugs!!
Yay Becky! That is awesome news!! Congrats!
Super excited! What wonderful news!
Congrats! I’m so thrilled to hear this!
Wonderful and exciting news! This is fabulous!
OHHH this is super awesome!
Way to Go, Becky. Much success!!!
Can’t wait to put my hands on Project Life products.
Congrats on your partnership!
That is so awesome!!! Can’t wait to be able to just run down to XYStore and pick up a pack of plastics on a whim!!! Congratulations Higgins family!!!!!
YaY! Hoping that this means the quality of the products will be the same as when ordering from Amazon…Will the binders still be made by We R Memory? AND hoping that the prices will not go up…very excited for this launch! Congratulations.
Wow! That IS exciting news. Congratulations to both Becky Higgins & AC companies!
Congratulations, Becky! So excited for you and what’s to come!
Glad to hear you are keeping it on Amazon……thats been working just great.
[...] If you haven’t heard Becky’s news yet this morning, be sure to check out her blog post here [...]
AMAZING NEWS!! I love this!!
Congratulations.. I’m excited for you but scared all together!! I love American Crafts product but I hope this doesn’t effect the availability!!
Awesome, Becky! I’ve already contacted our local scrapbook store to let them know!
Congrats to you. Not sure how this is a big plus for us who are happy with Amazon?
Those of us on the entire Eastern coast of the US are bracing for a hurricane that is predicted to knock out power to millions, so your “tease” of a little bit of news each day is tough for us.
That is awesome news!!!! Can’t wait for the rest of the weeks announcements.
congrats!
will everything still be made in the USA?
Fantastic news!!! Congratulations!!!!
WOOOHOOO!!! SO EXCITED!! I just emailed Hobby Lobby and begged them to carry Project Life products!! I hope a million other Project Life scrapbookers will do the same with all of their local retailers, so they know how in-demand your amazing products are and be quick to jump on board. I can’t wait! I can’t wait to be busting down the doors next Spring to see all of your beautiful products perfectly displayed on shelves ready to buy!! I will probably take a picture… and put it in my Project Life album. ;D
This is huge, wonderful news! I love seeing the collaborations in the scrapbooking industry.
Love, love, love American Crafts. This makes me happy!!
Congrats to you and David, this is very exciting!! Can’t wait to see/hear what else you have in store for us the rest of the week!
Thank you for your prayers, I am in PA.
I just about peed my pants. And I know that’s TMI, but I am REALLY excited (as a retailer). Great news!!!
So excited for you and so many others that will now have the opportunity to get their hands on PL!
Whoohoo! Availability is soooo thrilling! That had been a struggle in the past as PL was gaining popularity in an unexpected (but expected
) way for you and the team as product would fly out the door faster than you all could keep up with it! However in the most recent months it seems like stock has been there, but this will be even more fantastic! I am so excited for you! This will reach even more people I think!
Yay!!! That is such exciting news congratulations!!!! Great news on a dark, stormy windy day here in MA!
Will it be possible to shop on Amazon for international customers as well? I am hoping for a possibility of shipping to Sweden. Love your products!
Wonderful! That’s HUGE! BIG TIME BECKY!
Becky – I am so excited for the developments in your business! It is going to be so wonderful to be able to walk into a store to purchase your products! I do appreciate your prayers – as we are awaiting the once in a lifetime impact of Hurricane Sandy here in New Jersey!!
Couldn’t think of a better company to partner with!!
Can’t wait to see the products in real life! I’ve been interested in trying Project Life for several months now, but have hesitated in purchasing products online. I like to see and feel what I buying, and the hassle of having to ship something back if I don’t like it, has detoured me from investing in Project Life. Hopefully this new venture will help me get started!
This is great news!! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! That is awesome news. I can’t wait!!
I echo others – excited but scared at the same time. Love what you’ve been able to accomplish with this fabulous method of recording the everyday. Appreciate as PL increases in popularity you need to find different ways to support the growth. Hope the quality remains the same. Change can be hard – but I’m excited for you and to see what comes next.
Congratulations! I would like to see more digital Project Life kits — would love to see all of them digital. I’d be interested in digital holiday Project Life kits — Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Forth of July, etc. and seasonal (fall, winter, spring, summer), then stages of life — elementary school, back to school, high school – graduation, marriage and on and on and on!
Congratulations! How EXCITING!
Wow! I bought it at Target this weekend. They have 12×12 & 8×8 books, pages and some journal cards and tags. I thought I was cheating on Project Life, feels so much better knowing it’s the ‘real’ thing. Thanks!
I don’t think you got PL as it won’t be available until Spring 2013 in retail stores — must be knock offs.
Target now carries a line of We R Memory Keepers products.
It just keeps getting better and better!
Exciting, BUT….AND THIS IS A BIG ONE! QUALITY!! Becky, you’ve strived to make your products the best quality out there. I enjoy American Crafts designs, but to be honest, I would not consider the quality to be top-notch. There page protectors are frankly-crap. There albums, while the designs are awesome, again, the quality is so-so. Embelllishments-well, we all love Thickers, but adhesion is still an issue with some of them.
so, that said, (sorry to sound so negative), if the quality suffers, I’ll be looking elsewhere. I’m hoping to pick up some PL stuff from Amazon prior to the switch.
“Their” page protectors (dorky, i know, but need to use the correct grammar!)
Excited for more availability, but concerned about the quality too. I love your page protectors and hope that the quality doesn’t get sacrificed. I have used AC pp in the past and “they aren’t my favorite” so to speak. Also just got another smaller album from AC and comparing it to the Simple Stories page protectors the AC pp are not as good. Hope that helps to get some feedback like this. But truly I am really excited for you!
Hoping this means that Project Life will finally be available in a 8.5×11 format…? I always feel so restricted without the option since me and 12×1 aren’t friends, we’ve tried but we just don’t get along
Does this mean we might get our arrow stickers back? I was hoping you might have those in the works to coordinate with all the new kits coming out. Congrats on you good news!
Such exciting news for you & David. Congratulations! Already sent a fb message to my lls to find out if they will carry your products.
Will Canadians be able to buy it at places that sell other American Craft products? Or will stores and individuals need to order them from Scrapbooker’s Inner Circle?
Congratulations on the big announcement. I’ve like AC for a long time; however, I’m in Central NJ and don’t have a local scrapbook store. I buy all of your products on Amazon, so I’m hopeful that partnership remains intact going forward. I also hope that AC doesn’t ultimately take over Project Life because I think you’ve done a great job so far.
Congratulations on your new adventure. You’re a very smart lady Becky! Love what you do and what you stand for. Wishing you all the success in the world and a little rest. Sure been a busy year for you.
That is wonderful news and even more wonderful that David and Mary will continue to stock PL here in New Zealand. Congratulations, we will look forward to some of those wonderful ideas you are planning to come to fruition.
Congratulations! I hope this will take a lot of stress of you and free you up to handle more of the FUN stuff. XOXO
This is great to hear, but I’m not happy that people in Australia have to buy our products from New Zealand, and wait forever for them to get new stock in, surely someone could become an agent here?? I tried to order product from Amazon, but for some reason there are only a few items that can be shipped here. I live in a very rural area, most of our scrap booking supplies has to be order online, it’s frustrating that we over here have to wait so long for new products, any one would think it comes via a sail boat!! I know the shipping isn’t your area but please look into either Amazon shipping every thing to here or an affordable Australian Company becoming an agent. For example Printblocks. Thanks for listening I’m a long time follower and on my 3rd year of POD.
I find the service and deliver from Craft House in New Zealand to be so quick and efficient – I could not wish for better service.
Congratulations Becky. I am a fan of the concept of PL but have been unable to get started as your distributor for Australia seems to be unable to reply to email queries. Hopefully the partnership with American Crafts will make it easier for us to get what we need.
Hi Jo….our Customer Service team don’t have a record of any emails from you….please email me on mary@crafthouse.co.nz if you have any queries and I will be happy to answer you directly.
I will second that… don’t know what happened Jo but the CraftHouse cousins across the ditch have done a great job.
Very excited for you! Hoping the quality Ive been spoiled with remains the same! Good luck and Ill keep buying!
It would seem that anyone with access to a Spotlight store will have access to PL – nobody thought of the struggling scrapbooking stores both bricks & mortar and online only – sadly not everyone is impressed with Spotlight and worse how on earth can the little local scrapbooking stores compete???
Thank you Becky, this news makes me so, so happy. As a retailer in Australia I have been waiting so long to be able to carry your products in my store and as an American Crafts customer I’m so much more happier. Keep up your brilliant work.
Please stay on amazon for all of us who aren’t anywhere near a LSS……
How very exciting! What a great partnership!
Excited about the possibilities of Project Life products being more accessible to us overseas. Congrats!!
So glad we will be able to buy at our local stores here in Canada instead of paying huge shipping charges!
wooooot!!! excited for the collaboration and for this whole week!
Congratulations on your new partnership. Very exciting news!
Congratulations! How exciting for your and your new partnership. I’ll be watching for sure!8
Hurray!!! hopefully joann’s or archiver’s will be carrying PL!!!
am keeping the people affected by that awful storm in my prayers!! May God keep them safe!!
YEAH!!! congrats..looking forward to it coming to my local canadian scrapbooking store?!! will be checking into it locally this weekend to ask them to order!!!
Happy for your new chapter
Exciting! I’m in Australia and have to say though that I am surprised at some comments. I am in a rural area and have only experienced great customer service with Craft House. Being able to pre order has meant we often receive items faster than US customers. Becky, I hope this has secured your family’s future because you deserve that. I will be interested to see about a collaboration with Studio Calico too! I love the ‘old’ PL but something so popular had to expand so best wishes for a successful future of PL
Agree 100%, Emma. Crafthouse have been a brilliant company to work with, couldn’t speak more highly of their customer service.
ditto and ditto
THANK YOU Becky and Congratulations on your new partnership !! I am so excited (here in UK) to hear your news and can’t wait for PL to become more easily accessible. I wish you astounding success way beyond your wildest dreams xxxx
[...] « a new partnership [...]
Hi Becky…
I have followed you for many years and have always felt a personal connnecton to you. As a fellow memory keeper, your family values and work ethic have been something that I have admired and looked up to.
When you began your product line, I could already see how this would help me and so many others keep our memories alive, make it fun and do-able, and oh! so exciting.
Something new on the PL horizon? I was all over it, super excited, and I knew that I was sharing this excitement with all of the original and “elite” supporters and followers that had been with you since the early CK days.
Now that you have chosen to go corporate, I am happy for you, for your family and for your business. I am sure that you will “bloom and grow” with all of your ideas and with the amazing staff that you have gathered to make it all come together.
And me? Well, I will move on and now be motivated to live without PL.
What a strange comment… so you don’t approve and won’t be buying any more PL? Sorry, curiosity always gets the better of me…
I agree with you Kathy L. I wish Becky all the best but am disapointed in the direction of PL and the business. I was hoping you were just adding support help to the current PL growing business. This corporate direction is just is not for me. I understand the benefits this gives you and your family. But I just don’t care for this…What happened to the simple and the prosaic?
A match made in Heaven. Awesome news!
I too am concerned about the quality issues. I have been pleased with the durability of the PL albums this year, and the clear plastic for the page protectors. My American Crafts albums look very worn compared to my PL albums by We R Memory Keepers, and the plastic is definitely not as see-through. I do not understand switching to American Crafts for these products.
Carmen.
