birthday week: friday

It’s here. The end of our big birthday week. (sniff sniff)

Thank you sooooo much for celebrating with us as you shared the Project Life love, did some shopping, supported us with your kind words, downloaded our freebie gifts, “liked” or “re-tweeted” or “pinned” what you saw around social media, and showered us with birthday wishes + testimonials + genuine gratitude. You have reminded us over + over this week why we do this. I feel grateful every day for a lot of things in my life. Mostly my family and my faith and my health. This little gig we’re doing is also a very special part of our life. You are a big part of our life.

To wrap up the birthday week we will announce lots of lucky of winners – but first – some news, my friends.

…..

{ don’t fall off your chair }

I have joined Pinterest. You can see my pinboards HERE.

True story. I KNOW, right?? I resisted for soooo long. I really held out. I stayed strong. I stayed away. I made a very intentional choice to not “go there” because it’s so up my ally (images and ideas + organizing them all), that I feared I would be “sucked in” and there just isn’t time for more stuff in my life right now. You know? However … I knew all along that it would probably be a matter of time before it just made sense to bite the bullet and do it.

So I did it.

I’m there. I’m on Pinterest. I’m pinning. At least I’m trying to figure out how it all works. There’s not much yet, mind you. I’m JUST beginning – today, in fact – and you’ll see there are just a few things in there. But I will build upon this and hope that you enjoy this avenue of continued inspiration. Those of you have recommended I do this: You will be the excited ones about this news. And then … there will be a few of you who will undoubtedly say – What’s Pinterest?  : )

Project life allowed me to tell the little, everyday stories that never would have made it into my traditional family album! -Amy Beatty

I was feeling so guilty that I had fallen behind on scrapbooking the events in my new daughter’s life. I felt overwhelmed and sad that I didn’t have the energy or desire to document some of her firsts. Then, my scrapbooking life changed when a friend directed me to your website. I was in love at first sight and ordered a kit to document my daughter’s birth story. Now, I have a personal baby book done “Project Life style” that I was able to complete quickly. I know my daughter will cherish it forever. -Jenny

Project Life has changed the way that I approach my scrapbooking. I was always a traditional paper and glue scrapbooker … but after completing my very first entirely digital Project Life book… I must say that I am hooked. This is easy, fast, and beautiful. This works for me and my busy lifestyle. I am still preserving my memories via stories and pictures. My only wish is that I had Project Life years ago when I had my first child! -Rosa Nissenbaum

Happy Weekend!

Congrats to all the winners and happy birthday Project Life! This is my second year doing it and it changed the way I took pictures and the way I scrapbook. It even changed the way I look at my life! I’m a housewife and at the beginning I thought my life is too boring to take a picture every, single day. Boy, was I wrong. Now I have proof that something (no matter how small and insignificant) happens every day! Thank you for this amazing product, Becky. I think you’re a genius! I’m busy uploading my pictures to my blog of last year’s album. I only use black and white photos and I print on my journalling cards because I don’t like my handwriting. 13. Susan says:

Wow!!! Happy Birthday Project Life. I am a random Scrapbooker, meaning I print off a bunch of pictures a few times a year then arrange them into grouping for pages, with my last bunch I ordered from Persnickety prints, with the rounded corners, Love them!!. Now I had a problem too many portrait orientated photos and less landscape like my pages are designed for :( So thank goodness for Design D photo pocket pages!! just order 2 packs, now just waiting for them to come. Thanks Becky for thinking of everything to make my life and scrapbooking easier!!! <3

  14. Ang says:

  15. Jenn Hen says:

Oh Becky – you are gonna love Pinterest… so much fun, but I understand your hesitation. It’s very easy to get “sucked in” pin, pin, and pin some more until its midnight and wondering if you made the kids brush their teeth before bed :) Welcome to the Pinterest family! And once again ~ Happy Birthday PL!!! I hope that it is everything and more that you dreamed it would be

  16. Angie W says:

A Pinterest tip: Set a timer and shut it down when it goes off, otherwise you will be sucked into the Pinterest time warp zone ;)

Happy Birthday to Project Life and Happy Birthday to you, Becky!
i am just one of the many many Project Life fans out there, i want to thank you for creating this amazing system. i have started using Project LIfe to document my everyday life since may this year, and i have to say i am loving it! we have a 14 months old toddler at home, as a new mother, it’s almost impossible for me to sit down and do fancy scrapbooking as much as i wanted to, but with PL, i can put together our weekly photos and journals in a fun and stress-free approach. And the outcome is so beautiful and meaningful! now the first thing our little boy does when he comes into my craft room is to flip through my PL album, pointing to people and things he knows and says them out loud! i have never thought he would be able to enjoy the album at this young age, but he does! :)
i am so thankful for the continuous hard work you and your team has put into bringing us awesome products time after time. thank you and i love you all.
i have been blogging about PL in chinese (we live in Hong Kong) for the last few months and i have got many readers and friends asking about it! i know you won’t be able to read the words in details, but at least you can take a look at the photos when you have time.

It feels great to be successful doesn’t it? Personally, I’m soooo very happy & thankful to be able to say you’ve been inspiring me since your CK days. Now I’m SUPER inspired with Project Real Life! This has been a SUPER FUN week, and THANK YOU for being so generous in your celebrations! Congrats & Happy Birthday!
