birthday week: thursday

Party people! It’s Thursday! Today is extra special for a few reasons. It’s Day 1 of my Project Real Life class. Totally did not to expect to wake up with butterflies in my stomach. What the heck? And holy kindness from so many of you! Thank you for the comments I see floating around on facebook, twitter, and instagram about what you think so far. I’m so grateful that you feel good about your decision to sign up. Anyone else still interested can still totally register HERE. We haven’t closed that door yet.

But there is so much else going on today. We want to celebrate our 3rd birthday with a gift for YOU! And not just a few select winners. We want ALL of you to enjoy a little something from our team.

…..

{ free stuff }

We have given our FREE STUFF section a face lift, and we hope you enjoy the ease of browsing through and finding a few fun things that you can enjoy. Head on over and be sure to click refresh to be sure you’re seeing the latest update.

…..

{ mobile backgrounds }

Some of you know that we have offered Project Life mobile backgrounds for a while. Well guess what? We just added MORE options! Remember our Big Week of Reveals (Aug. 20 – 24 on the blog)? We have now added designs from each of those upcoming Project Life editions in our collection of mobile backgrounds! Yep. Your cell phone, iPad, whatever … can now sport a cool design that you love from any one of our Project Life editions – including the 3 Baby editions, 3 Childhood editions, the Olive Edition, and Seafoam Edition. Head on over to Free Stuff. Scroll down to the Technology section. Take your pick. Update your background. And enjoy!

…..

{ binder labels }

While you’re in the Free Stuff section of our website, be sure to notice that we do have Binder Labels for each Project Life edition. We have just added one to go with the Cherry Edition that was not there before. When all the new editions are released over the course of the next couple months, we’ll add those coordinating labels as well!

…..

{ life quote cards }

You’ll notice that we have a shiny new featured freebie on the Free Stuff page; it’s the first thing you see on that page. Our amazing designers have pulled together a collection of Project Life cards that you can print at home – or you can have outsourced with your favorite printer (our favorite is Persnickety Prints) – and place the card in your Project Life album … or use it as part of a gift tag … or stick it on the fridge … or pass it along to a friend or …

The designers of these cards are from our Creative Team, our pool of product designers, and even our own marketing director (and resident techie guru) – Kari Holt. There are several designs to choose from, a variety of generic/life quotes, and they’re all available in both vertical and horizontal format, as well as 3×4 and 4×6 sizes. Take your pick, or grab them all! They’re free. They’re fun. They’re yours.

{ more chances to win cool stuff }

Speaking of the awesome-sauce Creative Team … the birthday celebration continues with more, more, more! You guys KNOW how much I love our Creative Team – collectively and individually. I love them. These are not folks I contacted and said, “Will you please use my products and share them with your readers?” No. It didn’t work that way. They already loved and used Project Life. They already had a passion for documenting life. They have a knack for solid photography, and a unique style – each with her own flavor.

Right now, each member of our Creative Team has a brand-new blog post that features thoughts & tips that you’ll enjoy. Plus – they each share a couple of their favorite add-on products. AND … we are giving those products away! Do you know what this means? Each of the 13 blogs will have a different giveaway opportunity! That’s crazy fun! So be sure to check out each one.

I used to be a traditional scrapbooker. Over the years I spent so much money on all the fun papers and embellishments that I ended up in terrible debt. This year, I finally faced my debt head-on. Starting January 1st, I decided not to buy any unnecessary items for an entire year. I called it my “Stopping Spree.” Of course I ordered my Project Life in December, so I could continue documenting my memories all year. I just feel that Project Life is such an economical way to preserve everyday life! -Kate

It’s been said that pictures are worth a thousand words. Then how much is a picture with words worth? In my opinion, it’s worth every minute that you spend putting it all together, because for every minute you spend making a scrapbook, you get the rest of your life and your kids’ lives to enjoy it. Project Life makes it all so easy, so clean and fast, and so fun. -Kathrine

Today I celebrated my grandmother’s 96th birthday with my family. NINETY SIX. It was such a special day for my family. My grandma was SO happy, and really looked like she was on top of the world this afternoon. When I got home, I grabbed a journaling card and wrote down how special today was, and how I will never forget the look of my Grandma’s face when we were all singing ‘happy birthday’ to her. She was BEAMING. I was so thankful to have an outlet for that memory. It makes me so happy I could cry to have that down on paper. Thanks again for all the wonderful work that you guys do. I already know that I am going to cherish my 2012 album forever. -Molly

    Thanks for all the freebees!! One request: would it be possible to get the binder labels either without any text or with text that says “Project 365″? I’m “old school” and have been doing a Project 365 album ever since the very first Kit of the Month club with Creating Keepsakes! Thanks again!

    Thank you for the freebies!!
    Congratulations and Thank you for Project Life! PL has completely changed my scrapbooking experience is such a good way. I am so thankful to be doing it. I was hesitant, because my husband and I do not have children, and I thought “why bother”. I am so glad I am doing it. PL has also changed how I think about scrapbooking other things, other than everyday life. For so long I have wanted to do a heritage album. I recently decided to just get started doing it, with a PL style album. I am pretty sure this will be how I scrapbook everything from now on. I am grateful for Project Life!!

  15. Lynda says:

      BECKY, I agree…ANDROIDS do love backgrounds too. Thanks for the freebies but maybe this can happen for us in the future??? Thanks for suggesting it Lynda, I was afraid to say it because of all the goodness but those backgrounds are so awesome. Maybe we will benefit one day. I might try to do a screen shot and save it in photos and then use it. Fingers crossed.

    Gorgeous – thanks so much!!! I don’t see Elise’s blog listed, however… and her latest PL post was 9/30… is she not part of the CT? Is she considered a Designer? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

  24. Thanks so much for the freebies. A little dissapointed that international customers can’t win the blog hop prizes.

    • I know that’s disappointing – sorry. It has to be a U.S. shipping address because the products are sent directly from Amazon. We did include our international distributors in the giveaways this week and those winners will be announced Friday.
