what’s showing up after christmas

Obviously we wanted these products to show up well before Christmas and it’s just as disappointing to us as it is to some of you … but due to several factors, the following products are taking a little longer to make their way to Amazon. We were expecting late December, as indicated for quite some time now on our Products page, but as it turns out they need a couple more weeks (because of the holidays) to actually arrive and get on the shelves and in the system. So now we’re expecting the following early- to mid-January. No, we don’t have an exact day. Yes, we will absolutely keep you posted as we get closer and as we hear more.

Olive Edition

Seafoam Edition

Childhood Editions

Big Packs of Photo Pocket Pages (currently sold out)

Mini Albums (all 5 colors)

…..

Great!!! I’m just curious, will there be a restock of the Cherry binder? I can’t wait to start PL 2013!

    • No, sorry. The reason it wasn’t listed in my post is because Cherry Binders are already sold out – they’re not currently in stock anyway.

      • Amy Myers says:

Ok. Thanks! I’ll just get some plain red binders from WRMK.

On a side note, I told one of my student’s parents about a note he wrote me into PL. She was so intrigued and wants to start her own PL album now! :)

  2. April says:

I so am not the only one who would appreciate to know what the list prices are for these items. I am sure that the list price is determined before they show up on Amazon. Why is it you never answer questions about list prices?

I find this frustrating for those of us who want/need to budget. Especially if some of the items will be arriving after xmas and we want to give people a gift certificate for something we dont know the price of!

    • Actually, that’s not always the case. Sometimes we do list them ahead of time – as long as we know them. And when we don’t? It’s usually because we don’t know until literally right before (when you run your own manufacturing business, you start understanding the “why” behind these type of things).

I’m happy to share any prices that we know. For example, the Mini Albums will be $19.99. The Core Kits will be $29.99.

  3. Hannah C. says:

Liiiiiiiiitle frustrating to not have the “official” (seafoam) kit to start from for 2013, but I have already purchased the digital version to print out in case this happened! So, I have absolutely no worries about the arrival times and will wait patiently for their arrival, and I thank you for keeping up updated!! :)

  4. Linda says:

I am really disappointed that you are discontinuing the binders/cards/papers to go along with the original editions. I just got the clementine edition and am beginning it in 2013 and didn’t have a chance to get the matching papers or textured cards because they were sold out & I know I would probably like to have additional binders in the future. I too am on a budget and don’t want to have to buy a ton of products I don’t yet need, plus many of the ones I want were sold out before I even got my core kit.

I understand the idea of bringing in new products, but you only introduced two new regular lines [I don't have children so the baby/childhood editions aren't really what I'm looking for] and to be honest, the two new ones are some of my least favorites of the editions! [They are still cute, but I just really love some of the other editions!!] I hope that you come out with some new products in the future but that you will think of a way for them to coordinate with what I already have… I want my scrapbooks to be a continuation over time that flows together rather than always having to have the new thing.

Sorry for a disappointing comment because I really love your products & your whole concept and you seem like an amazing person, I am just really disappointed in this.

    • I wish I could say something that would help you feel less disappointed. If I could sit side-by-side with you for 20 minutes and explain everything we’ve been through, how we’re moving forward, and WHY we’re moving forward that way, I know that you would totally get it.

    • Angela Moore says:

      Linda—
I have an almost entire set of Clementine 12×12 paper I’m not planning on using. Would you like to buy it from me for $5 plus shipping? Email me if you’re interested.

    • AmyJed says:

      Hi Linda!

Have you thought about purchasing the digital kits of the editions you are interested in from jessicasprague.com? That way you could print out the papers to your heart’s content and never have to worry about them being discontinued! Just a thought :)

      Merry Christmas!
      AmyJed

    • Anne-Marie Cox says:

Buy the digital versions… Then you can print what you want whenever you want.

  5. keianna says:

I am very frustrated that the baby editions released before the kits required to start the new year. I have done PL for 2 years. The thought of starting the year off behind is enough to make me not want to do it in 2013 at all. There are other products that fit the bill and are currently available. I planned to purchase Seafoam, but now may rethink that. Becky, please consider working on the yearly editions earlier than in the past, so they will be available at the start of December.

    • I’m sorry you’re disappointed. If only you knew what hoops we went through to try to get the Olive & Seafoam kits here first. There is so much that can’t be understood from a customer standpoint so I understand why you might feel frustrated – but honestly comments like this make my heart sink because we tried so, so, so hard to make the timing better than it turned out to be and I see no reason to put Project Life out of your mind for documenting 2013 just because Seafoam shows up a week or two late.

On a much happier note, 2013 will be the year of no more delays like we’ve seen this year and in the past.

      • Keianna says:

Becky, thank you for responding. I am one of those people that like to have all their ducks in a row before starting a project. I know I can wing it for a week or two, but my initial response was irritation. I apologize if my response was more harsh versus constructive criticism. I do believe that you honestly tried to get everything in as soon as possible.

  6. Kimberley D says:

    Hi there,

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping us in the loop! I am starting Project Life for the first time in January and I am so excited I can barely wait!!

Also, I am due to have a new baby girl any day now and I have purchased the Baby for her core kit. I am grateful that this kit has arrived before she did!! LOL!! I bought it the moment you announced it was available on Amazon!!

When reading other unfavorable comments, please try to take it as a compliment. Sounds odd I know, but remember that reason people seem frustrated is that they enjoy this product so much that they can’t wait to get their hands on it and any delay is irritating.

We know you do all you can to provide great product and service in a timely manner. I am sure if people thought about it a little longer they would realize that with any type o manufacturing that involves multiple parties, there are nearly always unforeseen circumstances/ events that cause delays.

Thanks again for being curteous enough to give us the updates as soon as you have them.

    Merry Christmas!!!

    • I’ve already addressed several of the “disappointed” comments before seeing yours – so thank you very, very much Kimberley. I seriously appreciate your thoughts very much.

  7. Lindsay N says:

Thanks for the update, Becky. This year was the first time I did Project Life & I love it (used Cobalt by the way). I originally planned on using Turquoise next year, but I took advantage of the 20% discount & bought the Clementine Core Kit & all coordinating products. When I received them, I fell in love with it and decided to use Clementine next year instead. I will save Turquoise for 2014, in case I don’t like the new editions (after Seafoam & Olive). I have the Baby Edition for Her on my Christmas wish list & if hubby doesn’t get me that, I will buy it right away on the 26th! LOL. I don’t mind if the CHildhood Edition is late because I still have to work on my 3yr old daughter’s baby album. I do have a question, though… are you giving us brand-spanking new products on CHA?? do we get to see sneak peaks?? Again, thank you so much for all you do & for creating Project Life. I wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas & prosperous New Year.

  8. Carol Tate says:

Thank you for the updates, Becky. I understand that the timing of things arriving on Amazon is out of your control. If there was any way they could be been there sooner I’m confident you would make it happen. Where is that magic wand when you need it?!

    Merry Christmas!

    • Christmas magic … rather, Christmas MIRACLES would be nice right about now. Sometimes I wish everything WAS in our control, then nothing would ever be late. Thanks for understanding that there is so much we don’t control.

  9. Kerry says:

I agree, hate that olive and seafoam wont even be here by Jaan 1 not less for Christmas. Better planning for 2014 hopefully, more lead time/travel time for the shipping as it has been the same story each year.

    • We hate it too, Kerry – and would you believe the plan was actually to get them on Amazon by October? Yep. Just goes to show that when other people don’t do what they’re supposed to do, how they’re supposed to do it … a total domino effect happens and ultimately it leaves all of us bummed. : (

I’m confidant that 2013 will be a different story. You’ll see.

  10. kate says:

Cant believe my seafoam and more importantlymy sisters gift of olive wont be here to unwrap. No, not interested in a gift certificate. I’ll have to get her another PL type for under the tree, I want her to unwrap a gift….and not even here for Jan 1 to start the new year of 2013. Setting it all up the week between christmas and new years is what I do ………..????????????

    • I’m sorry Kate. I really am.

    • Seriously says:

20 children were killed less than a week ago and you’re pouting because you don’t want to give a gift certificate? Seriously??

Maybe time for a reality check.

      • Melissa says:

I’m sure Becky and David sat around the table plotting how to ruin you and your sister’s Christmas this year. So sad to not have a gift to unwrap? Is your sister 8??

      • Saved by Him says:

I’m so sadden that you would mention the 20 children being killed. Have you no clue that more than 20 children are killed, sold, stolen, tormented and put in horrible places every single day around the world? Precious children, just as those in CT.

But like many, all the hype with these new Project Life kits being released and Christmas season upon us, I am disappointed as well. And I might not understand it from a “customer point of view”, but it’s hard to understand why the design team and Asia have received the new kits already? So many people I know that do PL really look up to these design team members for inspiration weekly and when you don’t have your physical kit in hand it causes frustration and can be overwhelming knowing you’re behind. And what if the kit sells out before you can make your purchase? You have to wait even longer now if you want a certain edition of the kit, falling further behind.

And honestly, why are there SO many design team members this year? I thought Becky was asking for clean, sharp, SIMPLE pages, layouts and photos. I haven’t had the time to sit down and go through all of them, but the ones I did see weren’t “inspiring”. NOT impressed by over exposed images or by their pages…they aren’t anything to ooooohhh and ahhhh over. I think this whole Project Life thing has gotten out of control and people should really step back and think about what really matters most when documenting their day to day. Keep it simple. Keep it real. Keep it YOU.

      • mia says:

Dont politicize this issue by putting my town of Newtown’s children at this issue of her lack of planning or working with vendors, whatever the secret problem was. If people are upset about timing thats one thing but our Newtown children have nothing to do with this and shouldnt be related to it

  11. HaleyW says:

It would be nice to have release dates for the digital versions, too.

  12. Heatherle says:

Are there photos of the inside pages of the mini albums?

  13. Heatherle says:

and you know, all you complainers, that you can use the plastics, put in your photos and use some white cards for the week that you might be living prior to getting the product, then change it out for decorated stuff. Or draw out the layout with notes on a piece of paper. Or start a file on your computer. God bless you if this is the biggest crisis in your life and you can’t figure out a work around for a week or two.

    • Christine says:

      Amen!

    • alexa says:

Not the biggest thing, but not the best planning again. People/customers should be allowed to express their feelings either way without being called haters. Be open minded this holiday season.

      • Keianna says:

Letting a business know that you are frustrated with delays that happen each year is not complaining. Companies, regardless of the size or product sold, need feedback both positive and negative. I enjoy Becky, her products and her BPC class, but I am not happy about starting the year behind on such a large project.

        • I agree with Heatherle. Make notes to yourself and stick those in the pockets while you wait for the “official” product to come in. You can still take pictures and get those developed. Maybe it hit me harder than others (I’m a 1st grade teacher), but after all the horror in CT, little worries, complaints, and problems seem so insignificant. It’s not wrong to voice frustration, but I think there’s a way to do it without it sounding so nasty and pompous. Unless you’ve just started learning about PL, I think most of us know that at this point, Becky and her husband are the team behind all this. They have designers and some help, but from what Becky’s said in the past it sound like they do most everything themselves. Hopefully the move to American Crafts will help with the product being more readily available, but in the end, I’m grateful this product is out there in the first place!

          • Heatherle, I really appreciate the tip you shared because it’s exactly how someone can be A-OK starting 2013 without a brand-new kit for a week or two.

To everyone else – yes, I agree that you have every right to share your feedback. Of course. Trust me – we are super unhappy about this as well. Yes, David and I do a LOT but we do have a whole slew of people that make it happen and this year some things happen that really screwed up a lot on timing, etc. So we did everything possible to make those kits arrive before Christmas. We are highly disappointed in where things fell through the cracks and we are confidant this won’t happen again.

Keep in mind that this business grew way bigger than we can handle. This is part of the reason we have partnered up with American Crafts. There are other things we are putting in place to be more accurate with quantities ordered, timing on everything, etc. So so so much to look forward to in 2013.

In the meantime, please feel free to share your input. We appreciate it. We also appreciate kindness.

  14. michelle says:

    Planning is key.

    • If you saw our plan you would see that October was when Olive & Seafoam were supposed to arrive. I’ve already left lots of comments so I won’t go on and on, but I really can not have my customers thinking that I’m not a planner. I’m 100% a planner and that’s what kills me about these delays. They were out of our hands.

  15. Katrina H says:

Thanks for keeping us updated! I really appreciate being kept in loop, whether it be good news or not-so-good news. You are really the only company that I am aware of that does that. There have been times when I have stalked websites and stores for a really long time, just waiting for the things I have wanted to buy to become available. It’s nice to know when to expect products. And it’s really nice to know in advance when things will be discontinued, which you let us know quite some time ago. I wish all companies were as considerate as you are!

Don’t worry about products being a few weeks later than expected. You can only do what you can do, and things happen that you can’t control. I’m sorry there are some people out there who just can’t understand that, and have to complain. I’ll just keep doing the same thing I have done for the past four years that I have done Project Life (and Project 365) which is taking pictures and making notes on a calendar, so I can record my life. That is the most important thing after all. I’ll put my album together whenever I get it, and I will be grateful no matter when that is. Thank you so much for developing these products! I have always tried – and failed – to keep a journal, but I always let it slide after a few weeks. Project Life has changed that for me, and I really can’t thank you enough!

I hope you don’t let the negative comments get you down. I think sometimes people forget you are a person with feelings, instead of a faceless corporation. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!! Thanks again!

    • Thank you so much Katrina. This means so much to me right now, and I know that you represent so many customers with this perspective and patience. Of course there will be valid concerns and that’s okay.

  16. Amanda Susan says:

Total fail with the new kits. Honestly with every announcement I get more and more frustrated with Becky Higgins products. As much a I love the Seafoam kit I will probably use up the rest of my current kit then use elements other companies have come out with. The way I see it is the Becky isn’t the only person making products that meet the desire project life filled. If customers aren’t getting good service they can go elsewhere now.

    • This makes me really sad Amanda. We know that lots of companies are jumping onto our bandwagon and that’s okay if you want to shop elsewhere. But I’m not sure that I would ever decide to “jump ship” because the product I want is a couple weeks later than I hoped. I don’t ever expect our customers to understand what it’s like to run a manufacturing business, and I am certainly not begging you to “stay”. Obviously you have the right to do what you want, but I do hope that you can appreciate the fact that 2012 was an incredibly tough year for us and other people’s mistakes hurt us so bad. Financially and timing – everything. I think we do a very good job at “good service” for sure. As for timing, that is an area that got super messed up this year and we are beyond thrilled that 2013 will be an entirely different story.

    • David Higgins says:

Also remember one of the reasons Becky couldn’t constantly follow-up and make sure that others were doing their job to make sure production was done in time for Christmas is Jonathan (Becky’s brother) died in September, 2012. We flew out to Maryland multiple times to be with the family before he passed. Some of the constant follow-up was loosened during that difficult time.

The design work was completed in late July/ early August and passed over to the factory at that time. We were promised that the Baby Kit Production would not delay the Olive and Seafoam editions release time. These are not excuses but just reminders that Becky did everything in her power to make the release of the new kits before Christmas. The factory production times were not met and as a result she looks bad. We have implemented changes and have recruited American Crafts expertise in getting production deadlines met. To reiterate what Becky said this is the last time that new editions of Project Life will not show up well before Christmas.

      • Ah says:

American Crafts is not exactly reliable about getting products to market in a timely manner. Every release they have products that are presold that are never produced and it is rare that an entire release is ready at the same time. They are always behind schedule.

  17. TeriBeri says:

Thanks for the update Becky :) I will be adding my pictures and plain white or grid journaling cards until I get my Seafoam Edition, my Olive Edition AND my Studio Calico monthly kit!!! I’m so happy to be able to continue my Project Life journey using all your products!! Thanks for all your hard work ♥♥♥ Hugs and blessing, T

  18. casey says:

“Becky” is owner of Becky Higgins LLC. Feedback given here –good or bad is useful for her to run a productive and prosperous business. The negative feedback may help her become a better business person. Having the product in a timely manner is critical for any company to survive long term. Especially with this product being one that is built around dates- one that starts with Jan 1 2013.
With so many competitors bringing PL type products to the market place it is essential for her to get this right—timing and everything. It hasnt’ been such a big problem for her in the past b/c her PL was not facing the competition it will be this coming year and in the future. So, before everyone gets upset for any negative comment, please look at it from a business / customer stand point. Hearing customers feedback and making important adjustments is important for the success and survival of any successful small business, especially in this economy. Its is important for customers to express their concerns to help contribute to the best product possible…if her PL doesnt meet all standards and timing, someone elses will soon.

    • Thanks Casey. I appreciate your thoughts and – as always, we appreciate and value all feedback. Yes, David and I run this company and yes, it has become much bigger than us this year and yes, we have been through enormous growing pains in 2012. We have already been putting in place the necessary steps to improve the timing. One of those steps in our partnership with American Crafts, a well-oiled machine in this industry that knows all about timing. We’ll be launching several new editions at CHA next month, which will hit stores in the Spring … much earlier than Christmas. : )

  19. Kelli says:

Thanks so much for the updates. I am looking forward to being able to buy new products. Don’t let all these rude comments get to you–you have made me want to document my life again and I appreciate you! I can’t imagine the time and work you put into this! :)

    • jill says:

Not rude comments- honest feedback. Cant run a business for too long if products dont show up on time — especially with a product that starts with and is built around a DATE —Jan 1, 2013. Here is the kindness- love the concept, love what the designers have done — but if we cant get it in our hands for ourselves and for gifts —its going to spiral down. None of us want to see it do that. We need the product.
Hearing from customers is the best way to keep a pulse on her customers and their needs. It makes for a better and a successful company.

      • Karen says:

I think that with the huge demand of these wonderful products that there is nothing wrong with Becky’s business skills, and really is that any of your business? Becky put a announcement on the why’s, did not leave anyone hanging not knowing what was happening, get over it and act like an adult who can figure out what to do in the meantime, like enjoy life and not let the small things like a week or two late ruin things!!!

  20. Amory says:

I would like to say I was surprised by the late arrivals, but I really wasn’t. I’ve been doing PL for about two years now and have dealt with constant delays of products and instant selling out once those products get there. In the beginning, I put up with it because I had little other choice. So I would wait and wait and wait and stalk the web trying to get them, deal with them selling out, etc. But now so many other companies are doing PL style products with so much more availability that I no longer have to wait or deal with the thousands who are also trying to buy limited product at the same time as me. Now I can just walk into my scrapbooking store and pick up some Smash or Snap products. Becky, I appreciate all the openness, but with the new competition, you are going to have to realize that the constant setbacks and sellouts are driving away customers in droves.

    • Sheree says:

I too thought that this happened year after year, but last year her products were available on December 7, so anyone who knew about it was able to get it with plenty of time. I will patiently wait for my Seafoam kit. I have ordered one of each of all of becky’s products and will continue to do so. Go ahead and go into your local scrapbook store and pick up other products cause that will leave more for me and others who really care and are patient! And it’s not like Becky can order an exorbitant amount. I’m so glad everything has been selling and quickly cause that means that hopefully things are profitable for her (although this year doesnt sound like it).

  21. Amory says:

The other piece that has always bothered me is that I like to support businesses that promote equality and don’t promote exclusion. I was always worried that this company would donate to hate groups (ie anti gay and lesbian organizations).

    • Krista says:

      Amory,

I have to say that I am really bothered by your comment. I don’t see why you would even jump to something like this. Is it because Becky is a Christian and open about her faith? Being a Christian doesn’t make you a bigot, and I don’t think Becky has ever mentioned her stance on homosexuality. I’m sorry, but I find your comment quite inapproriate and disrespectful to Becky.

She has created a wonderful product for us, and has been incredibly transparent with everything she has gone through this year. Including telling us that they lost money on this business because they didn’t want to raise prices.

Becky — thank you for your wonderful project and all the updates. Early to mid January will work just fine. I hope your new venture with American Crafts takes some stress of your shoulders.

      In Christ
      Krista

      • Amory says:

No, I myself am a Christian and obviously not a bigot. She has mentioned numerous times she is Mormon and the Mormon church has donated millions to hate groups. She also had alluded to voting for Romney, who spread nothing but hate. I like to put my money to people that support equality for all.

    • Melissa says:

What on earth does Becky’s religious status (or what you think her religious status is) have ANYTHING to do with this post? If you don’t agree with what you think her values are, don’t buy her products and move along. This comment was entirely unnecessary.

      • Vera in CA says:

Well…can’t help but notice we don’t have a reply here, though, as we do for every other post, good or bad. I don’t want to ‘think’ what her values are as a company, I’d like to know what they are, so I can make an informed decision. That’s the whole point of saying something, so I’m with Amory on this one. And yes, I’m a Christian — in the true sense of the word.

  22. Karina K says:

I think the Seafoam kit is worth the wait!!! I’m just happy I won’t have to stalk your twitter to find out when the kit is available.

I’m thankful to Becky for creating Project Life! This is my first year finishing Project Life and I’m so thankful for those memories!! I printed more pictures this year then ever before. I still have plenty of 3×4 cards from this years kit and will use them until I get the Seafoam kit. Becky thank you for all of your hard work and for always keeping us updated!

  23. Ami Bradley says:

Sad not to see Seafoam for the start of 2013 :-(
I will totally order it as soon as it is available! I will start 2013 with leftover cards and plastics from this year or get digi product until the core kit is available. Making it work. Recording the stuff of life.
Not having the actual kit will not stop me from PL 2013.

Thanks for working hard on making this happen Becky! Love the product!

Sorry people are so upset about the arrival date of new products. I’m disappointed but, it is what it is.
Come on Seafoam. We are waiting for you!
    Merry Christmas!

  24. Ebony says:

Any idea how much the arrow stickers will be? Just trying to add up and budget everything for my order when the seafoam is available. Thanks for the update! !

  25. Summer says:

I never comment on blogs but felt the need tonight. I received my Baby edition for him and I LOVE IT! I currently use Clementine and have mixed in other editions. I ADORE project life and your awesome products. I have at least 5 friends starting it next year because they see the joy it brings to me and my family. My daughter loves to look at my albums and so do I….cherished memories. It sounds so corny but because of you and Project Life i find that I am happier…why…because I cherish everyday moments so much more. And yes…. I will be buying seafoam…. Love it!

  26. Denise says:

PL Team… I was sadden to hear of the delay, but am so excited for the designs you’ve put together… (GO SEAFOAM!) … And the concept… And your gut wrenching honestly [That you wouldn't get from any other small business for fear of what it may do]… I will gladly wait and continue to support the company that started it all. Love you guys. Don’t be disheartened. Hug Oreo and each other. You guys have brought this company from the ground up. Be proud. Breathe. It’ll be okay.

  27. Jenn V says:

Thanks so much for the update!! I am so excited for Project Life 2013. I used Clementine in 2012 at LOVED IT!! I guess my one concern is that when they do become available in January that they sell out super soon! I REALLY want the seafoam kit and I will for sure buy it the day its available so it doesn’t sell out. Becky, its nice that you update your blog so that I wont miss the date!!

  28. Kristen says:

Any idea when the matching 12×12 papers for the Baby Editions will arrive? Thanks! :-)

  29. april says:

I think what we all need is a video from Cleetus! Please tell me he sent one in!!! :D I have been on the lookout for him.

  30. melaina says:

Have you all forgotten a little thing called project 365 when there were no kits left , and no hope of EVER obtaining one without spending a fortune on ebay?
We’re talking weeks here people! We waited a long time with just a hope of another kit; I think we can wait a few weeks!

  31. Donna B. says:

    Hi Becky,
Perhaps I have missed something but why are all those binders on the endangered species list? Cobalt & Clementine are fairly new designs but the binders are already endangered? I used Cobalt this year and was going to use Clementine next year and it is making me sad that Clementine stuff is already selling out and I was going to be using that design for 2013.
Is there no way to keep these designs in production?

LOVE Project Life, BTW. I am behind you & support whatever you do but always will vote for MORE Project Life, never less (or endangered) Project Life!

  32. Erin says:

    Becky,
It makes me sad that you are being attacked for something that is so obviously out of your control. Please know that there are many of us that support you and your company no matter when products are released. These products are certainly worth waiting for! The idea of Project Life has completely changed the way our family preserves our memories. Every time I see one of my children flipping through an album, my heart leaps…these days, a simple photo and a few words can mean so much. You have made the process so easy during times when finding time seems impossible. I am one person who has NO problem waiting and making do until the products arrive and I hope you and your beautiful family have a magical holiday season

  33. kayla says:

So both olive and seafoam and both binders and the core kit inserts are all late in shipping and wont make it by Jan 1? Both binders and the kits…….all of it behind?

    • Melissa says:

No, she has a bunch of it sitting in her garage. She just wants to ruin Christmas!

      • paige says:

Shes asking a question both binders and core kits– Im assuming she means since they are produced by separate places are they both late, no need for your rude commentary.

      • Jennifer says:

Melissa – Respectfully, this comment is purely sarcastic and unnecessary. There have been plenty of times when binders/plastics/core kits/etc… have had different arrival times from each other. I think kayla was simply seeking confirmation. There was nothing rude or unkind in her phrasing. Your admonishment to others about how they should behave would be more effective if you yourself modeled the same kindness and understanding that you are asking of others. By responding in such a snarky manner to what is simply a question, you undermine your own words in your lengthy comment further down. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.

        • Melissa says:

FTR, there are several ‘Melissa’s’ here–I didnt’ make all of the ‘Melisssa’ comments. I did, however, make this one and I think I need to apologize to Kayla. I was reading all of the nasty Nellie posts and I just read a nasty “tone” in this message that may not be there. So, Kayla, if you were sincerely asking a question, I apologize for my nasty reply.

          • Jennifer says:

I’m sorry, I thought you were the same Melissa who made the long comment at 7:58am. You’re right that I shouldn’t make that assumption. Please accept my apology as well.

        • Melissa says:

Yes, lots of people are named Melissa.

  34. greta says:

Surprise —PL is late. Now lets guess the next event…..it will arrive late (Jan), probably just show up on Amazon. The quantities wont be enough and it will sell out.

    • Ann Marie says:

I don’t think that was necessary. Becky has always been forthcoming about product updates and timing. There’s no need to be snarky.

      • paige says:

        Maybe snarky, but true.

      • Anna says:

It’s completely true. If you’ve been using PL for longer than five minutes, you know it’s true.

        • Sheree says:

It’s not true. Go back through her posts last December and see that the Clemetine and Cobalt were available for sale on December 7…in plenty of time for Christmas! They sold out in January, but people who were already on the bandwagon had a month or so to buy before they sold out. Becky is a small business and can’t order a lot of extras in case they just sit there. Also, go back up and look at some of the comments that have been posted. Becky’s husband David even chimed in! He brought up a very good point about Becky’s brother who passed away in September. Other priorities that were more important had to take place! It’s Christmas, if you can’t say anything nice, don’t comment!

  35. Nicole says:

Wow. Just wow. I know like you’ve said in PRL, you don’t let these types of things get to you personally and I’m so happy about that. It unfortunately comes with the territory of putting yourself out there, but, for me and for thousands and thousands of others, can I just say that we’re so happy you did. It seems like an easy choice when you know you have something amazing and want to share it with the world, but, the world as we know isn’t always kind or understanding.
So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for absolutely everything you do and everything you are. You’re my inspiration and you bring happiness to my world not only because of your amazing products, but, by how you choose to conduct yourself and live your life and love your family so dearly and that is what will keep the true Becky Higgins fans around for as long as you’re willing to continue to share your beauty with the world. And, it’s so very true that in light of the tragedy in CT, everyone should genuinely just be thanking their lucky stars that they have their loved ones to hold and cherish.
Have a beautiful Christmas and may your new year be everything you’re hoping for!

  36. Melissa says:

To say I’m disappointed in the comments I’m reading is an understatement. Yes, everyone can give a company feedback if they’re not happy with a product, but there’s a way to do that and not be rude about it.

I think what people are mixing up here is that there haven’t always been “delays” as much as products that have sold out faster than was expected. Core Kits, Binders, they can’t magically appear overnight. Production on anything takes weeks or months, so when a product sells out faster than expected, it takes time to get them back online. That, added to the fact that Becky has released the information about a particular product months ahead of their scheduled release dates (something you ALL ask her to do, constantly), I think you THINK you’re waiting on product longer than you truly are. Last year core kits were released well in advance of the new year, in plenty of time for Christmas. So saying “same thing as last time” is inaccurate. If you’d been doing PL for awhile, you’d know that.

And some of you just plain don’t read what she writes. She constantly answers on her Facebook page questions about pricing (I’ve seen the mini album pricing at least 3 times already), about when the baby papers are expected, etc. And she’s also explained several times that her joining with American Crafts should bring products to you much sooner, without the whole selling out issues.

I really hate to add to the drama that’s surrounding this post but honestly, some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

    • Melissa says:

Furthermore, you complain when she’s a small business and doesn’t get products up fast enough, and many of you complained when she joined with AC and SC to be able to get more products to you faster. I’m not sure how she can even attempt to please all of you.

  37. Jennie says:

Thanks so much for the update, I have been hitting refresh on your twitter page 25 times a day waiting for info on buying the new kits, lol! :) I am SO excited to buy my Seafoam edition for 2013, and I am happy to wait! In the meantime, I have 3 brand new amazing baby kits to work on for my kids!!! Thanks for all you do Becky and David! I wish you a very Merry Christmas!

  38. Jennifer says:

Becky – I just want to offer my sympathy for the year you have been through. I am sure you will be so ready for that ball to drop on New Year’s Eve. I sincerely hope that 2013 brings you many blessings.

  39. Theresa says:

A question about the mini-books. Could you recommend which books would “go” with the baby editions and the kids mini editions? I am thinking about doing a mini-book with the baby edition for him and wanted some recommendations on color choices. Thanks.

  40. Mary Frances says:

Sorry if you’ve already answered this, but when will the digital version of Olive be available?

Also, don’t let the negative comments get to you. Yes, we’re all a little disappointed and frustrated that we won’t have the product in hand to start on January 1st. But those of us who have done this before know that a couple of weeks is no big deal. We can plan now and insert the cards later. Any newbies, don’t jump ship yet. You don’t want to miss the whole year because you get everything a few weeks late!!

Also, it sounds like you’ve already taken the steps necessary to prevent it from happening again so you’ve already addressed all the concerns expressed in the contructive criticism/advice comments. If you were sitting around doing nothing, I’d say take those comments to heart, but it sounds like you’re already well past having a plan in place to make sure it doesn’t happen next year.

    Have a very Merry Christmas!!

  41. Carol Swedlund says:

I’m coming to this post late so I don’t know if anyone will see it – I’d love to see a photo of the mini album OPEN, so I can see how the cards fit it with the photos. Thanks!

  42. donna kay says:

The point of PL is to document “real life” the good and the bad. The delay of the product is now part of “your story”. Document it! It won’t really matter in 10 years what type of paper you used to capture your stories the first few weeks of January. If it does, print out a few sheets of the digital version and put them into your books. PL people are creative individuals. Use this unfortunate delay as a way to try something new. If you have young children at home, have them make their own versions of the Seafoam or Olive title cards for your album. How awesome would that be?

  43. Rachel says:

    Hi Becky,

Colorwise, which childhood edition would you recommend to integrate into the Seafoam core kit? I have two boys, if that helps.

    Thanks!
    Rachel

  44. paige says:

12/21 1:45 arrow stickers on amazon ….no post yet about them being in.

      • Ebony S says:

Thanks! Just saw them on there for $6.99 each and added them to my cart. Need to wait on the Seafoam though so I can purchase them along with some pg protectors. Hopefully they won’t be sold old by then. Also, the 4×6 grid cards are back in stock too!:-)

  45. Erin M says:

God Bless you and your family Becky! I cannot imagine what you have gone through in 2012, losing your brother. I hope you have a magical, Merry Christmas.

  46. Andrea Lawler says:

I will continue to wait patiently for the seafoam and the olive, I will be purchasing both, because this will be the first year I do PL for the complete year instead of sections of my life and I can’t wait. I have everything else I need so I will be ready to go when they are, until then I will be printing pictures and keeping notes so I can easily put it together when ready.

Thank you Becky for keeping us updated and for making a wonderful product. I have picked up some of the other companies random 3×4 journaling cards and 4×6 cards and I have been disappointed in the quality of the products, they are flimsy and not well made. So I will continue to wait and I will be excited the day I get them in the mail.

Continue to do the amazing job you are doing and realize for every mean thing on here there are plenty of us that love what you do and will continue to support you.

    Thank you again.

  47. Jill says:

    Hi Becky,

Thanks for the update. I started PL in September. I figured why wait ’til January! I have been loving it.

Best wishes for a WONDERFUL Christmas!

    Jill

  48. Minnie says:

I’m so sad to have read some really uncalled for comments here. Sure we can all understand the frustrations no one more so than becky herself, but really, commenting on her faith????
This is Christmas! Let’s remember this is a time for kindness.
2012 was my first year of doing pL and I want to thank Becky for her concept and products which have brought so much joy to me and my whole family this year.
I recently received my baby kit ( girl ) and it is soooo yummy I just love it. My kids are now teens, so for me, going back and sorting through photos from years ago has brought so many memories right back to me. How could I not feel anything but gratitude for that.
Wishing you Becky and all of our project life families all around the world a peaceful and happy Christmas.

  49. Amanda Carey says:

To Becky and your amazing team,
I just want to say a massive thank you for all your amazing hard work this year at providing us with exciting new products. I love project life and love putting together my albums for my children which I know they will love in years to come. Memory keeping, what it’s all about! You have created a fast, easy and totally affordable solution and I will not look back!! You are honestly an inspiration to me and many, many others, and you are adored down under (Australia, please come visit anytime). I hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and a I hope you get a well deserved break!! I’m looking forward to reading your blogs and following you in 2013!!

  50. Marie says:

Happy Holidays to you, Becky, and thanks for the update! Business is business and sometimes things happen. Whenever they come in I will happily purchase the Seafoam kit with glee but until then, have a glass of wine, enjoy the holidays, and live a happy life. I had so much fun with the Clementine kit and when I got two years’ worth of stuff out of it I passed along the extra cards and paper and things to people who were just getting started. Sure, that leaves me with nothing but life is good, who cares? :)

You deserve a pat on the back and a big kudos for doing such a great job running a business, a family, fielding customer service, coming up with product ideas… So here’s to you, Becky! :)

  51. Elizabeth says:

Hi! Is the black signature binder gone for good?

Ps….absolutely love your products and great communication!!

    • GINA SANCHEZ says:

      I’m wondering this too !
I’m hoping there is something cohesive to replace it with – I just stocked up and bought 6 black binders to replace some old ones and have spares waiting.

  52. Kristina Ruth says:

    Hi Becky!

You rock… and I’ve been having so much fun doing my baby Boy’s kit. I’m behind on 2012, So in a way I’m glad the new kits are delayed because I need to finish 2012. :)

Have a great Christmas! you deserve it!

By the way I’m so excited on what you have up your sleeve for 2013!!!

  53. Lindsay says:

Maybe there could be a discount on the smaller packs of the design A’s to make up for not getting the “big package”? I always buy the big pack, but if I want to get a whole year worth of page protectors, i’m spending several dollars more. I thankfully have a few pages leftover from last year to get the year started, but that might be an option for other folks? Have a Merry Christmas!

  54. Janelle says:

Becky, thank you giving us the gift that IS Project Life. All of my family memories would be sitting in computer files and my memories if not fit this wonderful style of memory keeping that you have made so user friendly. As long as I keep taking the photos, jotting down notes on my favourite product (the grid cards) then I’ll be set for the arrival of core kits – then it’s just a matter of printing and slipping cards/photos into sleeves, too easy! Looking forward to seeing what exciting things 2013 brings to PL. You are an inspiration! Wishing you a joyous Christmas, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

  55. carolyn says:

Hi Becky and family and your staff,
So sad to read all these comments. You do an amazing job and it is obviously not your fault for the delays and you are trying not to point the finger at others. It is very hard to estimate demand with no pre order like we can in OZ.I work in sales and you can never please everyone!!!!!!.Keep doing what you do.Have a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.xx :)

  56. Beth says:

To Becky and all the team,
Thank you so much for your updates and although some may be disappointed by what they read, a little bit of perspective is missing from some of these responses. You, your family and your company have been through some enormous personal and business experiences this year, and most (if not all) have been out of your control. I want to wish you, David and your families, and your team a wonderful Christmas and Festive season and know that you have many many admirers all over the world, but especially ‘Down Under’ in Australia and New Zealand where we think you (and your team) are awesome.
    Regards, Beth xxxxx

    • Michelle (shelza) says:

Took the words right out of my ‘mouth/hands’ Beth :)

Becky and team, you have done an amazing job this year xx some of the comments above are unbelievable !

      Enjoy the holiday season xx

      Michelle
Part of the awesome PL Australia group x

  57. Leah Cameron says:

I just wanted to add my support to all the positive comments above. I think today may very well be the only time this year I have been “caught up” with my Project Life, so two weeks – pfffft! Won’t make any difference to me! This is my third year PLing, and I love the way I can record the little moments that would otherwise be forgotten, and I also love the “guilt free” traditional scrapping I can now do as all the rest is taken care of in PL. Merry Christmas to you and your family, turn off the pooter and enjoy the holiday. Best wishes from another in the PL Australia group!

  58. Alissa says:

I am not a big blog commenter, but I can’t help myself this time.

Becky, I’m sorry you’re copping so much flak over this. Having worked in Customer Service, particularly with complaints, there is a nice way and a not-so-nice way to go about giving negative feedback. It seems you’ve copped both in the past few days :-( I can only imagine how stressful this is for you.

Merry Christmas from Australia, I hope that this Christmas is magical and relaxing for you – you’ve done all you can do and you ARE enough. This year is my first year without my aunt, who also died of cancer this year, leaving two teenage children, one of whom now lives with my parents. On Christmas when we remember my aunt, I will be thinking of you living without your brother as well.

  59. Meg says:

Becky I stopped by these comments just to see what insight might have been provided into the discontinued products and I am so sad to see how harsh many of these comments are. (not referring to kind constructive feedback) but I just think some of this goes over board. (and kudos to you for trying to respond to so much of it)

I just finished your Project Real Life class and bought my first PL kit around the time that class started. I love it and I think you are fabulous and obviously put a lot of heart into your business. All for the benefit and the enrichment of others. If something that I want isn’t there on the day I want it, I promise you, I can wait patiently. And if something runs out.. I will find a way to go on.

Thank you for all you do. Keep your chin up. There are so many of us that appreciate your work and get that there are challenges out of your control. Most of all. Thank you for your amazing product. Before I found you I was kicking myself for not jotting down enough of the beautiful discoveries my 2.5 year old twins made every day. No longer. Now I’m right on track. I am so grateful :)

  60. Sue says:

hi Becky, I just wanted to say that your PL system has changed so many lives when it comes to scrapbooking including mine. Please don’t listen to the negative and focus on the awesome job you, David and the team have done so far. Sure there’s disappointment but really in the whole scheme of things, so what, write some notes, take some photos and live your life, after all isn’t that what it’s all about? Take care and have a lovely Christmas.
    Sue (Project Life Australia)

  61. Betty says:

I’m all ready to start producing a team “Becky” t-shirt because you rock and so does David and the entire team. Much love and Christmas blessings from another Aussie. Keep doing what you’re doing. x

    • mary says:

That would be just the thing to continue the polarization of customers here – we dont need anything else to make this situation any worse.
I dont care for some of the comments here, yet she is a business woman and this comes with the turf of owning and running your own business. Keep your head high and move on with dignity.

  62. Jess says:

Thanks so so so much for the update. Sooooo appreciate it. I got my clementine edition earlier in the year and can’t wait to use it…. I’ve spoken to some ladies who brought the baby editions and they say those papers will match the clementine edition.
I’m super excited to see what 2013 brings. I know that you know that the new editions don’t suit everyone so I can’t wait to see what is coming. It’s disappointing some cant see the bigger picture.
All the best for Christmas and New Years. Bring on 2013!!!!!

  63. Alison says:

I was really hoping to get my Seafoam edition before the end of this year, but thats not going to happen but its not the end of the world. I love your products Becky and a couple more weeks waiting just makes it more exciting when it does arrive. I will still take photos and write notes so that i can have a quick catch up when it arrives. Im so looking forward to getting my new PL kit and mini album goodies too.

I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2013

from down under in New Zealand

  64. Kellie says:

Thank you so much for the update Becky. I started PL earlier this year and then stopped and since gotten back into it with the help from the Australian/New Zealand PL group I am apart of. And I have to tahnk you as, because while I scrapbook and daybook and smashbook and so much more, nothing is as really and basically like telling a story as is PL.

I am more than happy to wait! I am never on time with anything anyways haha!

Wishing yourself, your family and all the PL team a very Merry Christmas from this little Aussie gal xx

  65. manz says:

delays on stock!!! what a world stopper ladies (who are complaining)!!!
if only we were CREATIVE with paper/washi and glue and could come up with a solution in the mean time!!!!

  66. Maria V. says:

    Becky,

I’m not sure if you’re reading these comments way at the bottom anymore, but I just wanted to chime in with some positive support. There are many, many of us PLers out here who are A-OKAY with waiting a few extra weeks for your products. It is SO not a big deal, and easy to work around! Your honesty about products and pricing and timing is refreshing, and shows that you CARE about your customers as people, beyond profits and bottom lines. I hope that this new partnership with American Crafts relieves some of the stress you are under, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE ALL THE NEW PL GOODIES!!! :)

Merry Christmas to you, your family and all of the PL team.

    Hugs,
    Maria

  67. Kristina in Oz says:

    Hey Becky, David and gang,

I’m so sorry for all the negative comments in here. There are worse things in the world to worry about I’m sure than kits that will be maybe a couple of weeks late. You have always been honest and open about everything and when things are out of your control there is absolutely nothing you need to be sorry for. I love what you do and can imagine how hard this year has been personally and financially.

On a personal note, you have given me a product that is easy and completely versatile. Just love it as do a lot of people I know. You have unwavered support form so many of us over here as you would from many of your loyal customers over there that are just decent, caring human beings that understand that these things happen.

Hugs for a great day tomorrow and I’m looking forward to next year and all the new things that you may have in the pipeline. Happy Christmas from Australia. Xo

  68. Sarah G says:

    Hi Becky
First, I am so sorry for the dreadful year that you have had. Stay strong and keep heading for that light at the end of the tunnel. I discovered PL just over a year ago and I absolutely LOVE it. It is an amazing idea and it WORKS. Congrats to you! I am so looking forward to Seafoam and the delay only adds to the excitement and anticipation. Don’t let the opinions of a few rude people spoil your Christmas.
    Hugs from New Zealand xx

  69. Kelly says:

Wow – am truly shocked at the negative comments you’ve received. I guess Christmas madness has really taken off with some people.

To everyone that isn’t getting what they wanted just in time, I know it’s nice to start off the way you mean to go on, and if that is important to you, you still can. Use temporary cards in the mean time, or take notes and keep track of your photos and your notes and pull it together when you can. There is a lady on studio calico that was behind 32 weeks – and she got caught up this week. It IS possible!

It’s also possible to use other stuff – like plain cards, some of your stash, text on photos, washi tape and stamps, not to mention a load of freebies on the internet – you absolutely CAN get started while your desired kit is on its way.

Becky and her family have had a hugely tough year and I really think that if you absolutely must express your disappointment, then please keep in mind that there are real people behind Project Life. Ok, Becky Higgins LLC is a business – but even big businesses don’t always meet their deadlines for all sorts of reasons. Be charitable, be kind – even in your criticism.

To Becky, David, your wider family and PL team…. many, many blessings this Christmas. I hope you have a truly peaceful Christmas (I’m sure it will be a little tougher than usual this year).

    • Carmel says:

      Well said Kelly,
God Bless you Becky adn all your precious family! I hope you give up trying to please everyone and hug your family tight!

  70. Mary says:

Obviously this was a direct effect of the cargo port strike at
Long Beach, where several import cargo vessels were not offloaded for the last two + weeks. The timing fits perfectly. It isn’t some great mystery of business. Why not just explain that in the first place, it would have saved a lot of grief.

  71. Gina Krupsky says:

    Hi Becky,

I have just started using Project Life products this year, and I love them. I am very excited to get some of the new items you have coming out. I totally understand delays, they happen everywhere. No big deal. I can certainly cope with arranging photos in the sleeves and jotting down journaling on a white cards for a few weeks.

Reading the comments above, I just learned about your brother’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. God and family first, scrapbooking can wait a week or two.

I wish your and your family and wonderful holiday season and I look forward to many of the exciting products that Project Life has to offer in the future.

    Truly,
    Gina K.

  72. Amy Criat says:

I hope Becky & her team remember that there are more people happy with her product line than not. When you see negative comments so much it is sometimes hard to remember the good. Her family has had such sadness this year. On top of this sadness operating a small business that had a major growth spurt. During all this she has always kept her customers informed. Informed even when she knows she will receive such horrible rudeness & attacks. She could be one of these companies where the customer do not receive any type of information until product is ready to buy. I love the fact that she gives us the information to have a little something to look forward to. When I see some of the attacks on here it makes me sad to know this is the type of world my child is growing up in. I believe in customer feedback but I feel should be done without so much harshness. Remember these items are to help us cultivate a good life. It is okay to be disappointed but remember it will ship soon. We can always make notes, put your pictures in pages & finish when kit arrives. A little delay is not the end of the world. Who does not run into delays ever day??? I am a very pleased customer. I will continue to purchase Project Life line & can not wait to see what the team has in store for us. Wishing Becky & the team a very Merry Christmas & a blessed New Year.

geez louise! If y’all have so much time and energy to fuss and carry on about something that is truly just a minor inconvenience, you must be living mighty blessed lives! step away from the computer and go enjoy your blessed life!

  74. Ann Marie says:

I could not agree more, well said!

Honestly, why is everyone taking it personally? Becky’s got big girl pants. She MAKES MONEY at this. So if there’s a failure, and there are consequences, so be it. It has nothing to do with her personally. It’s her business and it’s inability to pull it together on time that’s the problem. Whether it’s “her fault” or not, the bottom line is the promised result is not happening and so people can shop elsewhere if they want. That’s the American way, right? No need to lecture how people should suck it up and write on sticky notes. No need to handslap people who have the right to spend money wherever they want.

The new kits look amazing! Got to see an Olive kit in person and you guys won’t be disappointed! Am excited to try out the mini albums! Thanks Becky!

  77. Lynne Gillis says:

    Hi Becky and David,

I’ve been reading through the comments, and just wanted to offer up some understanding and support for you both during what I am sure must be a manufacturing nightmare. I own my own business, and 2 years ago found myself in a similar position (it’s not a manufacturing business – but similar in that the demand for what I was selling far over-reached my ability to predict it or deliver against it). It was truly the worst time in my life, and I made some mistakes with my clients that I will regret forever. Certainly not my best moments, for sure.

But here’s the thing – as painful as the lessons were – I learned from them. And I continue to learn from the things that don’t go as well as I’d like. It sounds like that’s exactly what’s happening for you and David too. I know that there are a lot of people who are commenting about their disappointment – and that has to take it’s toll, I’m sure. I just wanted to let you know that believing that it will all work out (because it will) is the key to keeping your sanity in tact. They say that God doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle – so it seems to me that God must think that you and David are capable of handling quite a bit! :-)

Hang in there – and know that your continued communication about the status of things is much appreciated.

Big hugs to you both – I love Project Life, and am looking forward to the arrival of the Seafoam Edition – but in the meantime, I’ll just look at this as an opportunity to flex my creativity as far as how I capture the first couple of weeks of 2013. None of it will be lost, I assure you. And I have you to thank for that – because it’s only been through doing Project Life consistently through 2012 that I’ve been able to really tune into my days – and that has truly been the biggest gift.

    xo,

    Lynne

    Becky,

I read the updates & some of these comments & went about the business of Christmas preparations, life, etc. However, i found my heart heavy for you regarding folks reactions here. I am hoping & praying that it has not gotten “under your skin,” so to speak & you are able to fully & completely experience & enjoy Christmas with your family. Here’s the thing – the irony – that is somehow bring missed : you gave us Poject Life! simplified and, in the process, improved the actual quality of so many of our lives. I hate that any backlash here may have you hurting during what is already, I’m certain, a difficult season in your life. the fact that we are a society that’s been taught to expect instant gratification & has little to no patience when it comes to getting exactly what we want when we want it is a sad state of affairs, very much a “first world problem” & very evident here. Here’s to hoping you can somehow let it roll off your back. the kits will get here when they get here, we’ll all be thrilled & document 2013 thanks to PL.
Thank you for that & Merry Christmas to you & yours.

    Competition breeds excellence.
With so many NEW project life products coming from several other companies in 2013 and really 2014- the best designs, best quality and best availability to customers (meeting deadlines and staying in stock) will succeed.
I hope Becky Higgins LLC will meet this challenge in the new year and beyond!

I am embarrassed by all these rude comments. It’s paper and plastic dear commenters. And the last time I checked, most of us have too much of both filling our craft rooms.

Just print out your photos and write your journaling on the grid journaling cards or purchase the digital kit. Simple problem…simple solution.

And when is the last time the owner of a rapidly growing and successful company personally responded to your comments and suggestions? Bottom line, a great product is coming your way a couple of weeks to a month late. If that is the worst thing that happens to me in 2013, it’s going to be such an amazing year.

Merry Christmas Becky and David. Thank you for your hard work and communication. Looking forward to a healthy and prosperous 2013 for both of our families.

Becky it is really upsetting to read alot of these messages. I just want to thank you for giving us such a beautiful concept that is Project Life. I was not planning on using a core kit this year as I have SOOO much of my own stash to use, but after reading all of this I am going to purchase the Seafoam as it was my favorite of them. I dont care that it will not be here to start the new year as I have the concept and the photos. Gosh guys, are we really forgetting something here, is this how we treat people?? I really hope not. I get the disappointment, I really do, but some things happen, they just happen!! Not everything is in own control.
Thank you Becky for inspiring me to document our life. May you have a lovely Christmas filled with love and peace. Many blessings xx

  82. Kelli says:

Can’t wait until it comes out! Can’t imagine what you have been through not only this year but building this company from the ground up. I am excited to get the seafoam, I’ll be watching like a hawk for the release date, please give us a warning so we can be ready! LOL…and in the mean time I will catch up on 2012, and use my umpteen # of page protectors to have some fun and be creative! Can’t wait! You are working hard during a very busy and crazy time for family and personal life as well. Thankyou!

  83. Samantha says:

    Hi Becky,
I have ordered my Project Life Seafoam Starter Kit via CraftHouse NZ to be shipped to Australia.
I’m happy to wait but I was just wondering if you have an estimated arrival date for orders in Australia? :)
Have a lovely merry christmas and a happy new year!

  84. Rachel says:

I’m just really hoping Project Life isn’t going all digital. By the way the updates sound, that might be the case. I really like a product in my hands. But I know I might be a dying breed.

    • Samantha says:

I hope that doesn’t happen and I really don’t think it will because I think the point of PL is to have something tangible (over digital) :)

  85. Megan says:

I’m not sure if I will get an answer to this question since I missed the original post, but here goes … I’ve been watching this blog for several months now and getting really excited about Project Life. I decided on New Year’s Eve (yesterday) that I would like to start doing Project Life for 2013. I’ve never scrapbooked before so it’s all new and a little overwhelming. I think I am going to go digital and then add in some of the paper product elements as I get more comfortable with it. Seeing that some of the older kit items will not be available in the future is making me second guess how I should approach this. Will there be coordinating items available in the future for the original kits? Or am I better off to choose one of the new kits and forget about the old ones?

  86. Emily says:

Yay! for mini albums! These are beautiful. I hate to say, though, that I will never use a pages-sewn- in book. Is there any chance these might one day come as mini binders? They are beautiful regardless. :)
