What is AC Digitals and what does this have to do with Project Life?
I’m glad you asked! Today is the launch of a brand-new scrapbooking site specifically for digital awesomeness from the following brands, all part of the American Crafts family. And since Project Life is now going to hit retail shelves in Spring 2013 thanks to American Crafts … we are a part of that family! (group hug)

Q: When is the physical product for those Baby Editions showing up?
A: We expect to see these arrive to Amazon in the next couple weeks but until we receive further information, I don’t have a date yet. We anticipate that you’ll be able to get the Baby Editions in time to put under the Christmas tree if you’re planning to do that. We are trying really, really, really hard to get the other editions (Olive, Seafoam, Childhood) here quickly as well but they’re a bit behind Baby and “late December” is all we know right now. If you are outside the U.S. you’ll have to check with your local distributor for timing.

Q: I’ve been sleeping under a rock. What are the Baby Editions of Project Life?
A: Oh, just the best. thing. EVER. Sounds like you missed my big reveal back in August. Have a look at this video and you’ll be totally in the loop. If you don’t have time for a 20-minute video, it’s basically the awesomeness of Project Life (simple, fun, pocket-based memory-keeping system) but sooo many of the cards that come in the Core Kit actually have specific journaling prompts to help you really document lots of fun details and anecdotes about Baby’s First Year. Truly, this is the ultimate baby shower gift or gift for any mama who hasn’t documented their baby’s first year – whether their baby’s still a baby – or in college now. It’s that cool.

Q: I’m all about the physical product with no interest in doing digital pages, so why would I care about ACDigitals.com?
A: If you want a heads-up on some of the designs + colors + details + journaling prompts that are on the Baby cards, consider all the images you’ll see on ACDigitals.com as sneak peeks for what you’ll soon have in physical format. Aaaannnnd … if you prefer “alternate” spelling to some of the words we have in the Baby Editions (ex – Mum instead of Mom, favourite instead of favorite) – those cards are all there for you … right here … for FREE. Q: What about JessicaSprague.com – I thought that’s where your digital stuff was sold?
A: We initially made our Project Life digi designs available at JessicaSprague.com and we are very grateful to them for helping make it possible when we really weren’t equipped to do it on our own in the earlier days. This new partnership with American Crafts brings about many changes. So so so many exciting changes. One of those things is the launch of this new site to bring all of the brands under the AC umbrella in one place – all shiny + new + beautiful. Hugs to Jessica + her peeps.

A: All Project Life digi products that were already on JessicaSprague.com are still there – and will remain there through December 31. Then we’ll move them over to ACDigitals.com and we’ll keep you updated during that transitional time. I am still super frustrated. I completed two years with Ziblio and switched to Shutterfly this year. It appears that Shutterfly will not be taking on the new designs. I completed my family book with Clementine and then all my boys with the blue design and have no desire to repeat these designs next year. What is your option for this? I don’t do the digital format with Photoshop, hate in fact. I don’t want to go back to the physical form of the project. Please tell me you have a plan for this or I am going to be very sad.

Question: Does this mean the Shutterfly Digital albums will be no longer available? I used the digital Clementine for 2011 and am using Cobalt for 2012. I love the ease of drop and drag. Are the digital already set up in drop and drag format? I am leary of buying a digital kit without being able to see how it works. The benefits of Shutterfly was that you could create the entire album prior to purchasing. Additionally, with the new digital sets, where do you have them printed into a 12×12 album? I loved that once completed in Shutterfly it was all done and sent directly to you. Is there a similar option on the new AC digitals? I love project life and have been participating since the beginning and the update to digital PL through shutterfly was great. Is this new digital going to be as easy?

In the previous digital editions, there were extra elements available for purchase. Those included the quotes and geometric designs. I don’t see those for purchase with the baby kits. I love the flexibility of using them anywhere in the title or journaling cards. I also have a question. I will be using the actual paper baby edition to create my kids books, but I use the digital version of the cards as a template to print journaling from my computer on the ‘real’ card. Do I need to purchase the full digital version, or just the prompt card digitals? Are there any cards I’ll be missing if I just get the prompt cards?
