introducing new products + designers

Monday, January 7th, 2013

I have been bursting at the seams to share all of this with you and now, with CHA being this week, I can shout it from the rooftops!! A few quick notes before I dig into all the new releases.

1. What is CHA? I realize some of you are familiar with CHA – and some of you are not. It stands for Craft + Hobby Association. It’s a trade show that takes place every Winter and every Summer. It’s happening in Anaheim, California Jan. 12-15. My personal experience with CHA is this: I’ve attended the show many, many times in my 12 years with Creating Keepsakes. I wore the editorial badge (because that was my position). I walked the show looking for the latest & greatest to feature in the magazine. I met a lot of fantastic people and looked for ways to support everyone with great ideas and great products. I haven’t been to CHA for several years since running our own company because we’ve been strictly focused on selling direct-to-consumer, not selling to retailers.

2. What is our role at CHA? It’s funny how some things work out full-circle. Here we are now … exhibiting at CHA. As you know, we recently began a partnership with American Crafts in order to get Project Life in the retail scene. Our role at CHA this coming week is to share our passion for Project Life with everyone that stops by our booth (#2628 for anyone taking notes – we’ll be adjacent to the American Crafts booth). I am certain we will meet some people who already know about Project Life, just as certain as I am that we will meet lots of people who have never heard of Project Life. I can’t wait to share with them WHY Project Life is different than any other scrapbooking product on the market. Every retailer will have the opportunity to learn about Project Life and – if they choose – place an order to carry Project Life in their store.

3. When do these products show up in stores? Everything we are introducing at CHA this week is expected to arrive in stores May of this year. Keep this in mind as you flip through the catalog because I have a feeling that you’re going to spot something that you just love (which of course is what I’m hoping for) … and then you might wonder if you should hold out. This is what you need to know: The Olive Edition & Seafoam Edition of Project Life are expected to arrive at Amazon this coming weekend (while we’re at CHA). Which means you can have a shiny new kit now and get today’s memories into an album now. Waiting for one of the new editions in this catalog means waiting until May. I’m just saying. And … you also need to know that Olive & Seafoam are not hitting stores in May. They are exclusively available direct-to-consumer (which right now means Amazon).

4. Will these new editions be available in digital format? You bet. We’ll bring it all to ACDigitals.com in due time. When exactly we do that is TBA. Stay tuned.

…..

Without further ado … I present to you our catalog for CHA-Winter 2013! I’m not even going to point anything out. The catalog pages will speak for themselves. Dive in. Pour over every page. You won’t believe how many new editions we’re releasing (yep – we’ve been busy bees). So much eye candy. But … still the same, simple, solution-based system that continues to help people all over the world get their memories into an album without all the fuss. Just more styles to choose from. I love that. We are stoked.

One last note, but certainly not the least important … I am tickled pink to announce WHO the amazing graphic designers are behind all of the new editions we’re releasing. You might see some familiar faces, maybe not. A few designers are returning favorites. Some are brand-new to our Project Life family. ALL are beloved and talented and we are SO proud to work with them! Check out our Graphic Designers page to get to know each of them.

Left to right in no particular order, they ooze awesomeness:

Tiffani Smith – Kraft Edition

Kerri Bradford – Cinnamon Edition

Lili Niclass – Jade Edition + Seasons Mini Kit + Baby Mini Kits
