Q: Great rug! Which one is it and what size did you get?

A: I shared this snapshot (on facebook / twitter / instagram) of a new rug adorning a corner in our kitchen. HERE is the link on Grandinroad.com and I got the 5-ft size.

Q: Are the holes on the new 8×10 and the 8.5×11 Page Protectors spaced to fit in a 12×12 binder or are they intended for an 8.5×11 binder?

A: Both! Standard 3-ring binders have the same spacing between rings in both 8.5×11 binders and 12×12 binders. We expect these new items (along with the 5×7 Page Protectors + 3 new Photo Pocket Page designs + Small Envelope Pages + Tall Envelope Pages + Core Kits) to be in stock soon – hopefully by the end of next week. Watch this short video overview of the new “plastics” coming out.

Q: I was just wondering how you get such great pictures from your iPhone 4S. Mine always have a warning when printing them at Costco and are very grainy. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

A: When you upload (to Costco or anywhere), don’t upload at a faster speed. From what I understand, this lowers the resolution. Be sure you’re uploading full-size images. That could be the issue.

Q: I saw on your recent post that the baby and childhood editions will be available in October – does that include a school version?

A: Our childhood product are all-encompassing for a child’s memories. This includes school, social life, family, hobbies … everything in a child’s life. When I share more detail sometime next month and actually give you a visual, it’ll all make more sense. A lot of thought and a lot of revisions went into these products. And it just didn’t make as much sense to separate “school” from everything else going on in a child’s life.

…..

Q: In what stage of the process are the school/childhood products? Is that a future project that hasn’t been started yet or is it “in the works?”

A: They are being sampled and printed and just about in full-blown production right now. We’re aiming to have our childhood products available in October.

…..

Q: When you release the “new” editions, will you still sell the old versions, or will they retire?

A: We will continue to offer several editions at any given time (they’re almost back in stock again – yay!) so when the two new 2013 editions are released in November, you will still be able to pick up any of the other editions. We will only retire editions when they’re just not selling anymore. That’s the plan.

Q: Are the new Core Kits going to have more horizontal journaling cards? And does that mean all journaling cards have designs; no more blank grids included?

A: Yes. Speaking of revisions … you will find that the new Core Kits have much more flexibility with horizontal + vertical journaling cards. And the back of every single journaling card is a gorgeous and versatile filler design for those spots where you don’t want or need to write anything. Every single card is beautifully designed to be compatible to everything else in the kit. There are no longer “plain” grid cards in a Core Kit. Those are sold separately in a box of 100 if you’re interested. Those are coming by the end of this month, along with the plain White Cards.

Q: I have a random question. You posted at one time about a hairbrush that worked great on your daughter’s hair. I am desperate for a brush that will get through my daughter’s hair with minimal drama! Can you tell me which brush you purchased? I think you got it on Amazon??

A: Yep, this brush is a total GEM for anyone who has difficult hair to brush – or a sensitive scalp – like our Claire. It’s called the Wet Brush, but I call it the Magic Brush because it seriously is that good.

{ some of your feedback }

Debbie writes: I found my stack of wedding/honeymoon photos this weekend. We were married over 6 years ago and still have no album because I’m a terrible scrapbooker. Well … I’m sitting down with my Project Life pages, and popping them in! We might actually have a wedding album. Thank you! This has been weighing on me for 6 years! I’m so excited. OK. Less typing … more popping photos into pages!

Tonye writes: Can I just mention the love I have for the Core Kits? It would probably be considered unhealthy to love the Core Kits this much. Oh my Gosh!! I love writing again. Thank you for making it easy!!

Shannon writes: This is my first time doing Project Life digitally and I am loving doing it through Shutterfly! I changed all of my pages to Design A and it is so easy to stay up-to-date by adding a photo and journaling every night! Love, love, love it!

Lise writes: Becky, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I LOVE memory keeping now. It’s not a chore anymore, not another item on my “to do” list that I keep putting off. I’m taking more photos than ever before, of things I wouldn’t have thought to take a photo of before, because I wouldn’t have thought it “important” enough to put in a photo book.
