Come hang out with me for a few minutes as I share with you 3 of my favorite ways to use 12×12 Cardstock. I’m not aiming to inspire you in creativity. I’m hoping to inspire you in SIMPLICITY. It’s the simple ideas that help us to reach our goals faster and, in this case – knock out some scrapbooking in record time.
Faster scrapbooking = more time to really live life.
…..
…..
Right now all of our Project Life 12×12 Cardstock (featured in the video) is a whopping 50% OFF for National Scrapbooking Day. This is the time to stock up. The sale goes through tomorrow – Wednesday – and applies only to U.S. sales on Amazon.com.
We have already sold out of Amber + Turquoise Collections, but there is some remaining inventory for the Cobalt Collection + the Clementine Collection. They’re regularly $7.99 for a 24-pack but right now they are marked down to $3.99 for a 24-pack. Holy smoking awesome deal.No need to enter a special code. The discount is already applied.
…..
Just to sweeten the 50% OFF deal even more, we’re adding a little more fun to this current promotion. Did you like that American Crafts paper trimmer I used in the video? Anyone who purchases any of our Project Life 12×12 Cardstock between now and Wednesday night at midnight PST will have a chance to win that paper trimmer for FREE. We will randomly select an Amazon customer and announce that winner here on Friday – so be sure to check back.
The Cutup Trimmer is easily portable; variety of blades to choose from; no need to worry about cutting yourself with the cartridges concealing the entire blade; cartridges are super easy to interchange; the cutting area is 13 inches, making it easy to cut 12×12 paper without removing the extra strip. Very nice.
…..
We won’t just be choosing just one random customer to win during this promotion. We’re also going to choose 5 additional customers to receive the plastics I featured in the video! That is, Design E Photo Pocket Pages + the 6×12 Page Protectors. Each of the 5 winners will receive BOTH packages!
For a chance to win the trimmer or the plastics, you don’t need to leave a comment here. We’ll check out Amazon purchases between now and Wednesday night at midnight PST and randomly choose winners that way.
…..
Keep it simple. Creative doesn’t have to = time-consuming.
Hope my video is a sweet reminder of this principle.
Sammie in Torrington, Wyoming: You are the randomly selected winner of a seat in the upcoming True Scrap event! Email Lain and she’ll hook you up. Congratulations!

{ new product reveal in video format }
Let’s get to the part that will make the rest of you happy. : )
I am pleased to present to you a first look at the next 11 plastic items coming from Becky Higgins LLC:
These are due to arrive July 2012.
It’s just a few short months away that these new pages will be in your hands. Like you, I have big plans to put these to good use and I can’t for the big arrival. The video includes answers to most questions you may have but certainly feel free to ask any other questions in the comments.
By the way, the development of these new items has not caused the delay of our Core Kit reprint or the development of our childhood products. I’ll have an update on all of that in the next couple weeks.
In the meantime, we’re still on-track to receive the re-stock of all our other, existing plastics by the end of this month. That’s only a couple weeks away. We won’t know the exact date until right before the delivery to Amazon. As always – I’ll keep you posted as we get closer – especially on facebook + twitter, where it’s easier to give quick, anecdotal updates.
All of you Project Lifers who follow what’s going on around here understand everything I’m talking about but I do realize that we have many newbies all the time. Welcome! If you are interested in learning more about this fantastic solution for getting your memories & pictures into a scrapbook without all the time, money, creativity, effort, and “fuss” that traditional scrapbooking usually involves … take a minute to learn about Project Life. It just might change your life. ; )
Do you feel like you are swimming in the stuff that your kids bring home from school?
Do you feel like you have more papers, projects, pictures, works of art, programs, awards, and memorabilia than you can manage?
Do you feel completely overwhelmed by the very idea of organizing all this stuff?
Do you have a desire to bring some order to the chaos, and ultimately have organized scrapbooks for your kids?
Me too, friends. Me. Too.
I really needed to get a grip on all the stuff for my kids so I embarked on a little journey with a big goal. I decided that having a video camera along for the ride might end up being beneficial for some of you too. That’s the goal. This is not a quick tutorial. This video is nearly 30 minutes long and you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with me in our home office as I walk you through my own process of creating order out of chaos. You’ll appreciate the fact that I’m years behind on the kids’ scrapbooks. And you’ll see first-hand what I’m doing to get to a place where I no longer feel Mom Guilt.
Join me on this quest to get organized. This video was built piece-by-piece over many weeks. If I had nothing else going on, this would all have happened in a few days. But that’s not my real life. So I fit it in a little here, a little there. Many outfits. Many hairstyles. Too many outtakes that warrant their own video … some day.
I genuinely want you to feel inspired to get organized with your kids’ stuff without being completely overwhelmed. In fact, I expect that many of you will even get organized with your own childhood and school stuff as well. (But just take one thing at a time, okay?)
As I mentioned in the video, I’m looking forward to hearing from you, too. If you have insights to share that will help us in developing product that will ultimately help you, don’t be shy. We are literally in the middle of designing school/childhood products right now and I invite you to participate in our brainstorming. Consider yourself an honorary team member of Becky Higgins LLC. So much of what we have done is a result of listening to our customers and readers. Your suggestions will be heard and considered.
Seriously? Yes, seriously. It just so happens that we have new products that just arrived to Amazon. Um, HELLO big news! I thought it would be the most helpful to you if I literally SHOWED you these products so that you have a clear understanding of what everything looks like. Next best thing to seeing it in person, right? Hey, you’ll even get a sneakity-peekity of more products still on their way this Fall.
Plus – releasing products seems like a great way to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of Becky Higgins LLC. It was two years ago this month that we launched our little company, announced it to the world, sacrificed a significant amount of sleep to get things going, and we never looked back. What a tremendous adventure already. Here’s to many more years. Here’s to YOU for being a huge part of the WHY behind what I do.
And here’s to shiny new products, some of my favorite music, and a cute new pair of Hoopla earrings (thanks Becki!). Enough chit-chat. Watch the video.

Click on any item and it will take you straight to the items on Amazon.
So … I’m thinking you should tune in. Check my blog every day, Monday through Friday. Watch this video to find out why.
……….
{ A little re-cap of the most important information }
When you spot something you’d like to win next week, tell me the following on that blog post:
1. your first + last name
2. where you live
3. what you want (the # associated with what you want to win)
……….
{ Q+A }
Can you pick more than one thing that you want per day? Heck yes. If you want a chance to win any of the items, say “I’ll take anything!” or “Surprise me!” But if I were you, I’d be specific about what you want. As many items as you wish for.
Can you enter every day? For sure.
Is there going to be cool stuff? Um, yeah.
Will I remind you on facebook + twitter every time a new post goes up? Nope. You just need to remember to check the blog every day.
When will the winners be announced? All winners will be announced in one, big blog post on Monday, July 11.
……….
Since I mentioned that contest going on right now, I’ll share the link in case you missed the announcement/information about that. Check it all out HERE.
In case you’re brand-new to my site or just joining us here after a little slumber, be sure to check out the VIDEOS section of my website.
I’ve done a handful of videos. But that main featured video? Never have I put so much heart & soul into one piece. I so want to help people document life. I so want you to embrace the life that is yours. And should you feel inclined to record that life, Project Life is one option. I explain more about this philosophy in the video.
I just wanted mention that the person who put even more hours into this project than me is my brother Andrew (left). He recently visited us, along with another equally-handsome and equally-talented brother Kevin (right), a.k.a. the “techie” one.
This lovely scenery, with the Designated Smoking Area sign, is at the airport.
Andrew worked his magic, did his thing, and I am truly grateful to have collaborated with him on the project. Many of you also know he’s my web guy, making all magical web things happen here on my website. When I say “I love my web guy”, I really, truly mean it. I have pretty awesome brothers. And since there are five of them altogether, I’m only scratching the surface here.
Does this look complicated or what? Andrew took this screenshot at one point while editing.
…..
I also wanted to send a very special thank-you to two fellow Project Lifers who allowed me to share their fantastic layouts in the video. Many, many thanks to Michelle Wooderson …
And Deb Duty …
I am also grateful to the lovely Kyra (our niece), the always darling Grieser family, and my own family who make appearances in the video.
And while I’m thanking special people … thanks to my Mom & Dad who, without ever formally teaching me, somehow instilled in me a love for taking pictures and documenting life.
Thank you, dear readers, for being so awesomely & continually supportive. I’m so grateful you love using Project Life to document your world and your happenings and your blessings. Even those of you haven’t jumped on the PL Bandwagon, thank you for stopping by and hanging out here once in a while.
And I’d like to thank the Academy …
Sheesh! Anyone else feel like we’re at the Oscars with this speech? Didn’t mean to get all mushy. Just constantly feeling blessed for being surrounded by so many truly terrific people.
…..
One last note: Since I posted the video about digital Project Life ideas, you have raised some great questions about “particulars”. I plan to address those next week. And therefore … we’re extending the current 25% off sale that’s going on right now so that you’ll have more time to play after I answer those questions. The sale will now go through April 3rd!
I know most of you already “get” Project Life. This video is a good one to share with friends who you think would love it too. We all know somebody who would could really benefit from learning about Project Life. : )
Four sizes available in theFree Stuff section (top of the sidebar). Know what else is in the Free Stuff section? Holiday card templates all ready for you to just drop your picture in — 5 designs to choose from.
The following are notes from individuals and families who have generously donated to my brother's family. Thank you, Jonathan, for being there to support Becky while she shared her gifts and talents with me through the years, albeit remotely. This small gift is the least I can do to say thank you. God bless you and your family.
- With loving thoughts, Terri C
Although I've never met Jonathan, I have been following Becky's articles, books, and blog for years—even met her once at CKU Orlando. Like so many that Becky has touched, I've always admired the love, unity, and values of your large and beautiful family. I wish you all love, peace, courage, and strength for the days ahead. I'll be praying. Be blessed!

All I can say is that I believe God has heard your call because He certainly placed it on my heart to respond. It was loud and clear. And when He's involved, great things far beyond what you and I can comprehend will occur and I pray that gives you peace today and the days to come.
- Peggy Krantz
May you continue to find peace and comfort knowing you are surrounded by loving family and friends.

My heart is filled with love and pain and gratitude for eternal families as I have read about the challenge your family faces. Please accept my donation as a small token to help ease the significant, and often devastating, monetary burdens that come with this challenge. Thank you for a fine example of strength during the darkest times we face in life - an example that gives courage to others struggling with trials in their lives.

- Maria

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is that small voice at the end of the day that says 'I will try again tomorrow' " - Mary Anne Radmacher - The last year has been really difficult for me, but this quote always seems to help. I hope it helps you and your family, as well. Don't forget, miracles really do happen. Hang in there and keep your chin up.
- Love and prayers from NM, Stephanie Taylor
To Jonathan, Tina and your entire family: I wish there were more that I could do to help you. Becky's books have been my favorites since I first read them. Because she shared family photos and stories, I feel like you are all old friends. Good luck and I am sending happy thoughts and sparkly wishes your way!
- Jacki Samolsky
Big hugs and lots of prayers of healing and peace to your whole family.
