I was born + raised in a small town in Manitoba, Canada. Right now we live slightly out of town on an old farmyard in a 120 year old farmhouse.
My family now consists of my husband (Derek), daughter Molly (12), and sons Jack (almost 10) and Max (8) and our dog Sam (as well as numerous farm cats).
The way I use Project Life is a group effort ... something we do together. I leave it out in the open and members of my family drop bits and pieces into a container nearby. At the end of the week I throw it all together. It's an effort to capture bits and pieces that I don't get onto scrapbook pages... stories, quotes, memorabilia, and so on. It's a visual journal. A time capsule.
To me, documenting life is important. I want to look back and remember all those little things... even more than the big things. Bits of our lives. Bits of our everyday.
Three things on my bucket list are:
- finish our house renovations (we've been renovating for 12 years!)
- to tack on an addition
- to grow old with my husband
Cultivating a good life means stopping to see those moments. Being IN them, nurturing them and contributing to them. Enjoying the now and letting the future take care of itself.
