{ SWEET POTATO FRIES }
Slice however many sweet potatoes you want. Drizzle a little olive oil (I think I added a little too much to this batch). Add salt + pepper. Bake at 450 until they are browning (about 40 minutes for this batch). Just watch them. : )

I love sweet potato fries! When I make them, I place uncooked fries in a plastic bag and pour a *small* amount of olive oil on them then toss to coat. Spread fries in single layer on baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Turn fries midway through baking for even crisping.

Love Sweet Potato Fries, we make them at least once a week. Try adding cinnamon – sounds a little weird, but tastes great. Less oil does help, but they do seem to turn out more “soggy-er” than regular potatoes.
I love sweet potato fries! This may sound weird, but my favorite way to eat them is with a little bit of brown sugar sprinkled over them with a small dash of pepper!
Add brown sugar after a little olive oil,salt & pepper…amazing.
Hi Becky;
I make baked sweet potatoe fries frequently. They simply never will be as crispy as deep-fried fries. Not sure how much oil you are using, but my best tip is this: from the photo, it appears that your fries are very crowded on the pan – this causes them to steam ! (Which means soggy fries). Try spreading them out and making sure they are not too close to one another on the pan and definitely not on top of each other like yours appear to be. It takes an extra minute or two to “arrange” them on the pan, but it should make a difference. I hope that helps !
Greetings from Vancouver BC! (Yes, I took a class from you at CKU Vancouver way back when…)
I make these too except I season mine with garlic salt, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, cinnamon & a little brown sugar. YUMMY! they are soooooooo good!!!!! yes and if spread apart they will be much crunchier~
tara
I was going to say try spreading them out too. I always add ingredients in a gallon Ziploc bag with the fries. Then you aren’t poring olive oil straight on them.
have you tried a stone from Pampered Chef?
The famous Rachel Ray says use two tablespoons for 4 large potatoes. Thanks for sharing a new recipe. This is one of my favorite features.

Have you tried using Pam Olive Oil Cooking Spray? Maybe that will give the potatoes a little something for the seasonings to cling to without making them soggy? Worth a try!
They’re even better when you mix garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika and coat the fries with the rub. Delicious!
We love sweet potato fries too! When I make them, I add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chile powder (chipotle if I have it). We love the savory/sweet combo! I bake them in the oven on my Pampered Chef bar pan. We actually had some last night!
