toffee apple dip

I absolutely love this dip. It’s a great appetizer or snack. Just be careful … it’s a little addicting. Thank you Sarah for introducing us to this (several years ago). We’ve made it a million times since. Okay, so not quite a million. But a lot.

PS – Some food tastes a heck of a lot better than it photographs. This is an example of food that is NOT photogenic. : )

TOFFEE APPLE DIP

Mix the following together & serve with apple slices:

8 oz. cream cheese
½ c. brown sugar
¼ c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. Skor toffee bits

Love this recipe! We use Heath Brickle Crunch bits instead of the Skor since that’s what is usually available in our grocery store. Always get requests for the recipe any time I make it. Thanks for spreading the apple love!

A few years ago I made some of this and put some in a container to share with a friend. I wrapped it up with some apple slices and dropped it off. When she opened it she thought it was bacon grease. So now, we call it bacon grease.

Where do you buy the toffee bits? I looked at our local store but they don’t seem to know what it is. Is it just the toffee and not the whole chocolate bar chopped up? Can’t wait to try this recipe…. once I figure out the toffee bit mystery :)

Our local grocery has them stocked with the chocolate chips in the baking aisle. There are a couple of different brands.

I have this recipe too…and it is amazing! If you find the Heath bits at the store they make this dip just as yummy as the Skor bits!

  11. Anita Cory says:

If you can’t find Skor or plain toffee bits, the Heath bits work really well in this dip also! You will be the hit of a potluck if you bring this dip!
