french dip sandwiches

A classic sandwich. Have no idea where I got this particular recipe … it’s been years. But it could not be easier to make.

FRENCH DIP SANDWICHES

In a crockpot, place the following:

rump roast

1 can beef consomme’

1 can beef broth

1 can French onion soup

Crock pot on high for several hours. Shread the meat in all the juices and serve on sandwich rolls. Just get whatever sandwich rolls you prefer, slice in half lengthwise, place provolone cheese on the halves, and place the rolls “face up” on a baking sheet or baking stone. Broil on low for just a few minutes, until the cheese is melted (take them out before they get too brown around the edges). Place the meat on the rolls and serve sandwiches with a small dipping bowl of the French dip juices.

  4. Becky, I’m so thrilled you are posting so many recipe’s lately! I can actually make them too! I’m in a food group with some other ladies near me, I only cook once a week, but I cook for 3 other families besides my own. I’m now absolutely famous in our group for Ham and Swiss Rolls, Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Soup, and I’m sure I’ll be renound for French Dip Sandwiches soon enough! Thank you!

YUM! I have not had a french dip for so long… I think over a year ago at a restaurant! Love these also with provolone but add mushrooms on mine. I usually use the dry mix packet for the au jus but will have to try the crockpot some time. Thanks for the recipe!

Not to be picky, but do you have measurements for any of the ingredients? The roast, the cans, the hours?
I am a vegetarian, but my family would probably love these.

If you love these then you should check out the “Drip Beef” recipe at Pioneer Woman’s site (www.thepioneerwoman.com); I LOVE the addition of the peppercini’s and they taste awesome! French Dip sandwiches are definitely one of my comfort foods :-)

I shred the meat using my electric hand mixer and the regular square beaters. Just put a portion of the roast in a bowl and turn on the mixer. It will shred the meat and let you stop when it is as fine or coarsely done as you like. Place the shredded meat aside and repeat with another portion until done.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism

My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.
